I sat out in the newly renovated courtyard with a pot of tea and a ham cheese and tomato omelette. The ambience was lovely, the wait-service was brilliant and the food was delicious - what more could you ask for? Tip: The Falls also caters for large groups and business meetings, and though I cannot say this from personal experience, I believe they would do a brilliant job at hosting such events and can't imagine anyone being disappointed with the food or the service.

As you may have noticed, I get terrible FOMO so I appreciate obvious choices. My morning meal was therefore a hearty one - pork and fennel sausage, perfectly crisp bacon, slow cooked tomatoes with just the right amount of sweet and tart, a wonderfully spiced (yes, spiced!) potato and carrot rosti, a very large mushroom that had been bathed (and appropriately drained, leaving the sticky and tangy remnants) in balsamic vinegar, and two glorious eggs with the most vibrant orange yolk. Sure it's nothing special, no excessive decorating, you have to go through kitchen to get to toilet, handwritten ..some misspelt extras to the menu written on card sheets on the wall and no flash tables or chairs, but we like it how it is that's why we keep coming back ...and back again. The service is friendly, good atmosphere, nice food and the price is really good especially when comparing what you get to other places out there. Anyway specifically about the food...we have tried several different dishes over time but have now come to the point where we love it so much that we just order the whole duck everytime...this is eaten two ways ( 两吃 ) and maybe sometimes we order some veges too. The duck is cooked well and I could eat a lot more than what is given on the plate. So delicious it is!!! Other dishes we have eaten there over time meet the same standards. Anyway looking at the menu we ordered the Beef with cashew nut, cumin  lamb with pancake ( or bun if you rather call it that ) and as even at 7pm some of the Yum Cha menu was still available we ordered the blue egg porridge, bbq pork bun and custard bun. The porridge was the best i have tasted for a long time...sssoooo delicious!!...but don't forget them buns ... definitely tasty too. As for the other dishes... the beef was okay , but the lamb was far better. Maybe it's because i am partial to the dishes where you eat the meat wrapped inside the bun or pancake. They don't have a liquor licence yet, but you can still BYO. So anyway overall service was great, food was good ( the porridge being outstanding! ), atmosphere inside despite lack of decoration was very good and price reasonable.
