After 3 years of battling to get my insurance company, when I finally got the insurnace approval his office now told me he is no longer taking new patients. They say his heart is breaking for the hundreds of people who need appointments with him but he is in his 80s and the compassion fatigue he is experiencing from there being so few doctors for so many people suffering from POTS is even harming his own health and he is breaking down. How can I argue with that. It's not his fault. He even tried recruiting new doctors to focus on POTS and hasn't had success. The situation is hopeless. He tried to open a Dysautonomia Clinic and many patients heard about that and hundreds started trying to see him and he used to have a waiting list of over 300 people and his clinic failed to open and he is unable to even maintain a waiting list now at all. What a terrible state of affairs. Thanks Debbie for at least letting me know he cares.

Dr David Cannom, the heart doc, knows his business, it's been his life work, and made my reason for seeking his (2nd) opinion a slam-dunk great decision. After the testing and interview, I was told that I was in fabulous health "Exceptional" and that gets a 5-Star if nothing else, haha. I told the doctor that his office wasn't Yelped yet and would he mind if I took a photo. He said sure, asked if he should look professional or smile and I told him "Just tell me I'm in fantastic health" He did and I snapped the photograph. This is a top-notch heart facility and treatment center with excellent care-givers and I felt totally safe while on their watch. And my ticker is good. Of extraordinary note, I effed-up my appointment date by a week yet they still managed to get me seen and diagnosed with no effort. They went out of their way to help me. That's a remarkable act cuz if there's anything I hate, it's driving into LA and having a medical practice work within MY schedule is almost unheard of. When faced with a critical health decision, it really pays to get that second opinion. It might be a hassle but when your body is at stake, it's dumb not to. Use whatever tools are available to read up on the care provider. Before I saw Dr Cannom, I read about him in numerous papers and studies. He's a class act and even founded the LA Cardiology Associates http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=dr%20david%20cannom%20los%20angeles&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCwQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lacard.com%2Fhandler.cfm%3Fevent%3Dpractice%2Ctemplate%26cpid%3D3715&ei=7BYFUoDzLsWkiQK3sIHwBA&usg=AFQjCNFXDf9ElnCIKb7Kk5rW9GbOUK7S_g&sig2=-jlU_KyZU3IKwrUgyY2JTg&bvm=bv.50500085,d.cGE I couldn't have made a better decision.

Her gentle and patient approach has been instrumental in my, already obvious, success even in just my daily interactions with regular and business people all around me. Her recommendation of audio books like "Transurfing" by Vadim Zeland have already vastly changed my views on life and how to go about interacting with people in such a way that I endear myself to those around me leading to constant success in all I do. Saying "I highly recommend Sasha to everyone" would be a major undersell of her abilities and the visible results she produces for anyone that is fortunate enough to meet her. First one was in 2015 when they made me talk…read moreto multiple specialists after doing the NT scan all of which told me that it was highly likely my baby would have a multitude of defects and kept asking if I was sure there was no way I was related to the father, and implied multiple times that I should make a decision soon to abort before I get further along. I continued my pregnancy and did the follow up tests to confirm my son was in fact perfectly healthy. Today he is a strong healthy 10 year old. So, I was already extremely apprehensive when I was told that this was the only location that could do the scan for my third pregnancy. NT scans should be done between 11-14 weeks and even though my referral was processed at 8 weeks, they scheduled me for when I will be 15 weeks. I let them schedule thinking I would see how I feel when the time came and if I trust them or felt the need to do the test, then I would keep the appointment. Today I get three voicemails from 909-865-9705 reminding me of my appointment next week and asking me to confirm/cancel. I call 909-865-9705 back on my lunch break and the rude person on the phone let me know there apparently is no appointment scheduled and no record of me since 2015. Yet I have three voicemails telling me the date and time that was given when I spoke to someone from the office a month ago to schedule. And I have a letter I received in the mail that my referral was approved yet that isn't in their system either. Luckily, I didn't have my heart set on doing the scan anyways because of my previous experience, but they once again managed to prove how incompetent and rude they are.

Baby is all good and I love that I got that reassurance so fast.

All of my doctors are with UCLA so my doctors who are all specialists tell me to go to the ER, I go. Unfortunately, the doctors at the UCLA ER are terrible! Not only do you have to wait up to 20 or more hours to be even seen but every single time I have gone in, no matter how sick I was, I was gas lit, for instance, coming in letting them know that I have a paralyzed, intestinal tract, and have not been able to eat or drink for several days and the doctor right off the bat asking me if I'm sure it's not the stomach flu! I tell him my specialist sent me to the hospital! Finally another doctor comes back and sees me and says that he just called my specialist and said he'll get me in sooner to my motility specialist. What they ended up doing was screwing up everything they canceled the appointment that I already had scheduled with the motility doctor that I needed to see and did not keep me for what I should've been kept for which was my heart, my thyroid and my stomach. My doctors were all blown away! My thyroid levels were critical, and yet they did nothing. My heart was on full pace, and the doctor and nurse that originally saw me immediately put me on a cardiac monitor and ordered fluids and morphine because of my heart, and two hours later a nurse comes in and said that she had just given me my morphine, and my arm did not itch, so none of that got in my arm. She did not flush the line and then just attached the bag hanging with the fluids that I was supposed to get and then shut off my call button. Not that I was asking for anything except for who was my doctor and what was going on... Either way I have been to UCLA ER on four different occasions now where they just discharged me without even doing a proper assessment, they were busy they had the main lobby turned into a makeshift waiting room with makeshift urgent care beds. It was a disaster. This time I'm going in direct admit so I pray that things will go a lot better. That last time where I didn't even get the fluids that were ordered when I was having a heart problem is something that I could really take to a lawyer if I wanted to. Unfortunately, when you have chronic illness, you don't come in freaking out every time you're sick because you're just so used to it, so you're good at faking well. I don't come in making a fuss or anything like that unless I'm really critical and then it's not like there's any question they take me right to the trauma Bay but unless I'm life and death critically ill to where they cannot deny it without running lab they will just toss you to the street. Had they ran my labs they would've seen I was having serious problems. Had they spoken to the specialist that referred me there they would've kept me instead I don't know who they talk to because I am on palliative care I have to have permission from my doctors and nurses before I go to the ER and generally they'll tell me to call 911, but where I live I can't do that because they'll take me to the nearest hospital, which generally cannot handle my condition. I have multiple organ failure and a lot of major problems but I guess I don't look sick enough for them or act sick enough for them. It's kind of hard to do when you used to being sick all the time.
