Don't do business with this company! I should never have let David Reyes in my door! Having said that, he did sell me on Dish tv which supposedly has a two year contract...we'll see about that. Then he wanted me to pay him $100, but we finally settled on $40. I should have sent him away then! When they came to install the dish I was told I would have many holes in my roof and could use a rubber fix which was $58. I climbed his ladder and told him to leave what was there, but I needed him to take the old dish. Well, he didn't and now I have to pay $33 to have it hauled away! David gave me his cell phone number but can and does block all calls. There are two numbers for their business but you can't talk to anyone since you only get a recording and ask you to leave a message...they don't return calls! Don't let them in your door! read more

We signed up with David Reyes on July 16 and we're to have it installed on the 21st between 9-11. Never showed up. We called at 3:00 to cancel. After phone many unanswered phone calls on the 8th of August they called me and said a refund had been sent to my credit card and I was to cancel my dispute. Credit card company told me not to cancel before the amount was deposited because I would never receive any $. Luckily my credit card company is backing me. read more

Back in 2012' i was approached by the kindest young man by the name of William. We were hesitant to listen to his pitch on switching out our long time provider Directv for dish network. Everything was explained up front including fees and channels included. Reluctantly we agreed and have been happy customers ever since on dish network. read more

It is with some sadness that I have to write this review, much of it taken from a BBB report I have filed. I encourage all reading this to check this companies Better Business Bureau page. On September 25th, 2015, Jared Prado, then acting as authorized representative of Genesis Satellite, sold my father and I two separate Dish Network packages. Taken directly from his email to me the package was to comprise: "Around $50...free install, 2 year price guarantee, ensuring your monthly bill never goes up. About 290 channels." Unfortunately, this deal has not worked out as promised. Initially, the package started at $56 dollars, then quickly escalated. This month, we got a bill for $114.26. Clearly, there was no price lock as stated. Again, I have all of their offer in writing, in emails between Jared Prado and myself. Sadly, I have made 7 phone calls, and three emails attempting to resolve this issue directly with Genesis. Lance, the leader of the company flatly refuses to speak with me. (Even tried to connect with him on FB and LinkedIn to resolve the issue...no luck.) Both Miranda and Maria, phone representatives for Genesis, have directly apologized for the situation, noting the validity of the emails between Prado and myself. Disappointingly, I now have to pursue BBB Claims and Yelp reviews. In my case, after three weeks of attempted contact with the CEO, the only one able to make the necessary concession in this matter, I finally gave up, filed a BBB report and then took my case to DISH. The DISH Network Office of the President did in fact release my two accounts in question from their contracts, removing the ETF burden, and allowing us to cancel our accounts, something that will likely occur next Tuesday. This action was taken after I provided all written communication between Genesis and myself. Upon seeing the grossly misrepresented sales pitch, DISH did a good thing, and stood behind their customer. At the same time, I was informed that a formal review of Genesis Satellite would be conducted, to ensure other customers are not mislead as I was, and that they may potentially lose their approval to resell DISH products. To conclude, I am no longer seeking any type of restitution, as DISH has fixed the problem Genesis created. It is imperative to note however that Genesis was not a good actor in this, and has not corrected the underlying problems that have resulted in 12 BBB cases against them. Tread with caution in your dealings with them, until such time as Genesis leadership holds their salespeople accountable and their customers in high enough regard to at least speak to them. read more

As much as I don't like to write reviews this must be done. All of the reviews in this post are correct. I have been trying to get my money back for 3 weeks with NOOO satisfaction. I have no idea how they can still be able to go house to house selling nothing. Please be aware that this is a scam. I have made a complaint with the police dept. and BBB so hopefully they won't be able to con older people any more. read more

It is with complete frustration and anger that I feel I must write this review. The salesmen came to our door, randomly, asking to set up DISH. We were frustrated with DIRECTV so we consented to listening to David's fast, talking, unprofessional manner. As one reviewer wrote they did not have a permit to make door to door cold calls. (sadly, we found this out after he had left). David told us what our costs would be per month and also stated he would pay the early termination fees from DirecTV. We were also told that HE would do the termination with DirecTV for us. This was not the case. I did not find out the account hadn't been cancelled until DirecTV charged our credit card for another month's service. I was told at by DirecTV the early termination fee would be $320. Since we were charged the previous month for $150 worth of nothing more than a dead horse, DirecTV billed us for the rest of the termination fee and a couple days of service. The $120 is the rest of that fee. After several calls and letters sent, along with a BBB complaint, I was told we would only be reimbursed for the $120. When I had called David's personal cell phone, the number had been disconnected. If you are looking for new service don't go thru a broker, especially this business. The salesmen will tell you anything to get your hooked up, the office will tell you otherwise. read more

I was recently set up with DirecTV, CenturyLink and ATT cell phones and am very satisfied with my customer service experience. The office staff was so helpful and quick to answer questions and the technician was great at his job. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in services. read more

There sales rep came by my house 3 times, soliciting Direct TV and Dish Network. All 3 times I told him NO. I went to their listed website on the survey he gave me, and the website was "Coming Soon" with a countdown clock on zero. I find out through a phone call from Lifelock, that they had signed me up for services with Direct TV. I just received the installation confirmation letter in the mail today from Direct TV. I promptly called and cancelled my supposed service. read more

Customer service is great! The girls in the office are really helpful and the reps and techs did a great job with my installation!

Do not give This company your money they are willing to steal from you with no guilt! they came to my home sold me a home package TV, Internet and Cable for $99.99 a month. After giving them $150 I spoke to them later and they said in my area all they could give me was cable so I told them I need to stick with what I have. All this happened on the same day yet when I asked for a refund they said I would only get half because of processing fee's. It is now more than two weeks later and they won't even answer the phone when I call. On their web site they say they are veteran owned, Well I am a veteran and they ripped me off, I did not get one cent back of what I gave them! read more

These people defrauded my 92 year old mother. She had Dish TV service when salesman Johnathan came to her house trying to sell her Direct TV service. He told us he represented both Dish and Direct. Long story short they changed her TV service from Dish to Direct without her knowledge leaving her with a $380 bill with Dish for default on her remaining contract. These people need to reimburse her the $380. Deanna Taylor Mesa Washington read more

Genesis is the worst satellite and cable company. I signed up with service with them 3 months ago. They offered me an $80 dollars service for directv and centurylink service bundle. I have paid more than $600 dollars of service for 3 months and I've been calling the company to try to fix this problem and nobody seems to care about it. I have talked to Lance, the owner and I was supposed to meet him at the office and he never got there. I talked to Perla. the manager in the office and she said they couldn't do anything about my problem since the person who started me with the service doesn't work there anymore and they are not responsible for the offer their employee gave me at the time she was working there. the worst customer service and company. read more

Had these guys before at my door. They said they had a business license to do door to door in our city, called city hall and they have no record. Filed complaint with police, was told the company has been warned and will be cited if continue. Salesman had a terrible attitude when asked about city permit. Comes across as a scam. I'd steer clear and call PD if they come around. read more

HORRIBLE! Lying Salesperson at the Mall talked me into signing up for Directv by offering LIFETIME NFL network and LIFETIME HBO STARZ etc... I told him I did not have ATT cellular and he still wrote both into the agreement. He flat out lied to me about both incentives I found out later. Went to Genesis 3 times for resolution and no resolution as the rep "didn't have authority to do anything" and no call back from the owner either. read more

This company does not live up to its agreements! I was told I could have my satellite, internet and phone bundled with them. Only to find out after the satellite portion was connected that this is all they do! That I needed to make the arrangement for the phone and internet on my own. which I tried to do, only to be told by internet provider that they could not get me connected due to a glitch in there lines. I have made numerous phone calls to get this fixed or some kind of resolution. I have tried to call the person who sold it to me and he never answers his phone. I have called his boss at GENESIS and he can't help me I have even asked to speak to the owner of the company. They say there is nothing they can do. It was quoted to me in writing that it would be $125.00 a month for 2 years for a bundled package. Now it is going to cost me over $165. a month. BEWARE they are unreliable, unhelpful and dishonest. They totally misrepresent what they can and will provide. read more
