UPDATE: 2/26/25 5:45pm, a manager never called so I could discuss the treatment by Annie; however, she apparently requested Dustin to call me, from whom I received the service I am used to- thank you Dustin. He was cheerful, gave me explanation without argument and was very clear. He also answered honestly to a question he very well could have skewed to make me feel like I needed to purchase something. I am very pleased with his response and hopeful this was just a fluke issue with one employee. If you read my initial review, he answered my question, and even offered to have a tech come test my water for no charge and discuss potential solutions (a sales call, but correct that I should not be paying for.) My faith is hesitantly restored, I will not discuss items with Annie in the future, and I am adjusting my rating from 1 star to 4 star only because of my treatment by Annie, the front line on the phones whom they seem to want to resolve all inquiries. I recommend she be retrained or recorded on phone conversations for retraining. _____ Original review: Unbelievable. I just got off the phone with Annie at Campbell & Co. I have been a regular maintenance plan paying customer for 15+ years. We have had our hot water heater and HVAC system replaced by them. I asked her a kind simple question if someone could tell me if our old system filtered out hard water and if our new system does not. She proceeded to tell me they do not have my model/serial numbers on record and the only thing she could do was have me pay $129 service fee to have a technician COME to my house to do a tune up on the current system. All I'm asking for is someone to look up their records and do a simple Google search and interpret the technician speak for me. When I asked to speak to a manager, she proclaimed I was the one misunderstanding the she "couldn't help me becuase [she] is not a plumber" and told me the textbook car salesman line "my manager is in a meeting she will call you tomorrow morning." Not impressed and shaking my head to be honest. NEVER in 15 years have I had this experience with Campbell & Co. I am shocked and Hope when I speak to a manager that the response is quite different. The serviceman came because of a nonworking pump control, which I knew and showed them and they charged. $139 diagnostic fee to tell me what I already knew. They emailed me a price of $534 to install a new pump control. I thought that this was a bit much and looked on Amazon and found a new control for $30. I went to a local pump store and they had the control for $28 and they walked me through putting it on myself. It was extremely easy and took me, (a non electrician/non plumber) to change out and install the new pump control switch. So I spent $139 for an expensive lesson and fixed my pump switch for $28. read more

No one in the parts department can help me they just say the part is en route even tho I was told multiple times by my tech it would take DAYS that means 24-72 hours not 24 days. CROOKS! LIARS! CROOKS! DO NOT TRUST CAMPBELL! They falsely diagnosed my problem which led to over 7,000 dollars in work that I didn't actually need. They said my tank was leaking, when in fact it was a runoff tube from the water softener that was causing the water on the floor. Also, the unethical bastard who lied to my face about all of it sold me two 50 gallon water heaters after telling me one of my old pair was nothing more than a storage tank. He replaced an essentially unused tank, doubling my cost unnecessarily. I was watching two small children and overseeing 3 other projects on my property, so my attention was very split. But what am I supposed to distill from this experience? If theres an opening, Campbell will take complete advantage of you? YES! YES! YES! Also, can you believe it was 7,000 to 8,000 dollars to install 2 hot water tanks? Yes, I shouldn't have approved the ridiculous quote, but I was trusting Campbell to take care of me, not financially violate me. We need service providers we can trust to have our best interest at heart. I guarantee you these scumbags make more money than God, yet they still resort to disgusting, unethical practices to make their filthy money. And with the large elderly population of the Tri-Cities, I guarantee Campbell is railroading more than half of half of them. Whatever you do, stop supporting these pigs. And Campbell? I'm just getting started. I'm going to hit every review hub imaginable with multiple accounts so I can spread the word about you. That 7,500 you stole from me will cost you far more than 7,500 by the time I'm through. And I, unlike you, tell thr truth. Also- after the technician installed them, he made a comment about how these tanks will unceremoniously break in 5-7 years, necessitating another 7,500 situation. If I could give the place minus 20 stars I would. Our central air went out on 7/11/24. Tech came out same day. Told us had to order some parts would be in the following week. Mind you it's been 103-108 degrees. They never offered to overnight the parts, we would have paid more to get them here faster. Tech told us parts would be in 7/18 or 7/19. Called to ask about them. Reception was rude! Transferred me to Krystal who was nice and said they'd come out and fix as soon as the parts are in. Today is 7/22/24 and still no parts and no call! There is no sense of urgency from them! I have 3 little children in a hot house for 12 days!!!! This is beyond maddening! We would have paid extra for parts to get here faster. And this isn't the 1st time this has happened. We have had break downs in the heat of summer and the coldest winter at one time they had the parts in their warehouse but scheduled us out a week to put them in when it was minus 15 out! This will be our last time using them, then never again! They don't care about the customer, they just want money and we even signed up for their "maintenance program" it's a joke! They couldn't care less to help a family in need that is living in a house that is 100 degrees or more inside. They need to get back to their core values helping families! Very disgusted! read more

I signed up for the yearly service to check our HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. This was the first visit to check the plumbing and electrical. The Service representatives and apprentices showed up on time and ready to work. They worked quickly, quietly, cleanly, and efficiently. Service personnel provided us with an assessment of each area of concern and offered us remedies and an estimate for the cost of repairs they identified. They accomplished many of the repairs in the same day. They were so clean and respectful of our home. Special shout out to HVAC technician Miguel Infante-Zuniga and Plumber Eibher Sanchez Barreto. Unfortunately, I didn't get a card from the electrical service specialist to give him a shout out. All personnel were knowledgeable, professional, personable, efficient, effective, and explained things at every step of the process. They immediately provided invoice for services rendered and written estimates for future needed repairs. That way we could plan on an incremental approach to fund other suggested repairs. They cost of the yearly service plan has already paid for itself. Great job Campbell and Company!! read more

I called them for a furnace motor failure. I was quoted 1300 dollars for a new replacement. They pushed for a new furnace replacement costing several thousand dollars. The bottom line the problem was a 10-dollar motor capacitor failed. I will never trust this predatory company again. Beware. They collected 139 dollars for a missed diagnosis as well. read more

I called the after hours line about an issue with my septic at 10:45 AM on Saturday. I was told to expect a call shortly to schedule a same-day appointment. At 2 PM, I had not been called. I called, and an agent told me that an appointment was scheduled for today, but she couldn't tell me what time, or how it was scheduled without me talking to anyone. At 5, I called. Agent Kevin, the only useful person I interacted with, told to expect a call from dispatch immediately. I got a call from dispatch letting me know that Campbell's doesn't work on septic systems. After 6 hours in a house where we can't use _any_ drain, I got my first honest answer of the day. I would have been quite satisfied with that answer 6 hours ago. read more

Contract misunderstanding : We signed for an 18 month 0% interest contract on a big job after our furnace went out. They began to charge us interest the following month and we've tried twice to get this resolved. Both times they said they would have their supervisor call us within the next day and each time they went a week without any contact. We are being ignored and it's not right. Not good business. Our salesman was Troy and his supervisor is Isaiah. We are still trying to get this resolved and it's been 2 months! Update: We spoke to Isaiah the following day after this post and he was very empathetic and helped us get on the right path. Isaiah is very well versed and helped put our minds at ease. We also got a chance to speak to Troy, in person, and he was very respectful. We had really good interactions with both and we appreciate their willingness to make things right. The company did a quality job with our furnace and this was just a big hiccup but they helped us get what we had originally thought we applied for. Our winery AC failed over the summer they came out several times to fix it. After multiple repairs it still wasn't working right. It had been harvest at the vineyard so I hadn't noticed this unit was still not working correctly right away when I called they refused to come look at there work without charging me. I ended up looking at it myself and found wiring mistakes done by the technician that were causing the issues. I requested a manager call me to discuss and never got such a call. Would never do business with them as the workmanship is extremely poor and customer service is equally bad. read more

Someone comes asks my wife how much her mortgages, interest rate, how old she is & how much she paid for the house. Which makes her uncomfortable. he says the HVAC is covered by warranty as well as the front desk. In the end it's not, no explanation. We go in and find out the warranty can be transferred only 30 days they said to my wife and I. We set an appointment and apparently it's 90 days which is past the warranty, they were dishonest the entire time. Nothing got resolved he could have told us to change it into our name the first visit. My wife asked many times why can't it be changed then, while he was there. read more

Our home HVAC system has been serviced by Campbell for more than 15 years through their prepaid service program. No more. After years of late appointments and techs trying to upsell new equipment and services, the final straw was when they refused to perform prepaid maintenance because we did not schedule within a certain time window. Understand that the service contracts never mention that customers must pick times to suit the service provider's schedules -- usually it is the provider that accommodates the customer. During routine maintenance visit, the technician proceeded to perform additional work without discussing the scope beforehand or acquiring permission. The only guarantee is they will get paid. Bumper sticker version: Working without permit, notified us of the problem after "completing" the project, needed to pay additional $5 grand over the bid to pass inspection. We hired Campbell and Company in Nov 2020 to upgrade our electrical panel and install a new tankless water heater for about $1800. According to them the person who came to came to give us an estimate was very wrong about the work that needed to be done and then left the company. The work was completed over several days, our water heater was replaced and we were under the impression that the work was completed. The only clue we had that there was an issue was the Campbell and Co plumber who worked on the project asked if a load calculation had been done, (spoiler: Nope!) Sixteen days later Campbell and Co called back and asked to come look at the work. Turns out the work was not completed. We were told that the original proposal was wrong and we would need more work done so that the project would pass inspection, but that it was still safe to use. I decided to call L&I directly to get the permit on file. Whoops! The had not applied for the permit until after the work was completed, but before they notified us of the problem and came to look at what had been done. I was assured by Campbell and Co that working without a permit was not a big deal. The L&I office said they were surprised that there was a problem with Campbell and Co. That's great, but I wonder how many jobs are completed by them without a permit? We were told that the actual work that would need to be done so that we could use our new water heater and pass inspection would be a discounted rate of about $5100. Did I mention they "forgot" to send us the invoice from the first round of work to be completed? And I had to ask twice to get the Invoice copy that a detailed description of the work to be done? Still waiting on a Disclosure Statement. We had the misfortune of also enrolling in the "Trust Right" Service partnership plan, but that was no help and did not give me peace of mind as the pamphlet said. In any event our options were pay the $5 grand to get the correct work done or pay to have the work undone and buy new tank water heater to be installed because our old one was long gone. After talking with the Campbell team over several days I just couldn't find it in me to trust them with any more work so we went with another company. At no time did Campbell offer to refund any of the money that we paid for the electrical work that was incorrect and while they claimed a discount on the work that needed to be done the other company charged us only $200 more for the same work. Wow, what a discount Campbell offered! It has taken me 6 months to write this review because of how ANGRY I am at them. While they had reasons why mistakes were made the fact they worked without a permit and then tried to charge us 5x the original quote to correct the mistake left me fuming. read more

I asked for an install of a pedestal sink and described the job in detail when booking the appointment. I requested an estimate before hand but they said they couldn't provide one without seeing the job. They charged $140 to show up. And then worked up an $1100 estimate to do the job! This was outrageous and when I questioned how long the job was estimated to take the said a couple of hours. So I said - your shop rate is over $500 per hour?! And he said no but that's just what we will charge to do the job! This was literally a straight time job ehere we provided all the materials and they just needed to install/hookup the sink. So I guess their mode of of business operations is to gouge you $140 to show up and then work up an additional outrageous estimate to do 2 hours of work! We were regular customers on their maintenance plan since we purchased our newly built home in 2012 (they installed the system). We had always been happy with the friendliness, competence and professionalism of the technicians, whether for maintenance or repairs. However, on our last repair, we were charged $1880 to replace a $230 component- it took the 1 technician 2 hours to replace. I talked to Dustin the manager- I just wanted some sort of rationale or breakdown of the charges ... no luck. Transparency is not an element of their 'upfront' pricing model. He instead tried to rationalize to me why ~$500/ hr service charge (technician was here 3 hours total to wait for part to be run out) was worth it. I feel we were cheated - and because we've lost all trust, we've canceled the maintenance plan and won't be having them back. read more

Last week, Campbell and Company installed a new heat pump for us. Their crew of technicians had the unit installed and running in a day. I am very happy with what they did for us. I provided a detailed review of their great installation work on Google reviews. This specific review is for the duct cleaning service that was part of the new heat pump installation. Armando and Brinden rolled up in the big vacuum truck right on time and got right to work. They were very thorough in locating each register, duct, and access port. We had 17 years worth of historical dust that they removed. I could not believe how much was in there. They were very careful to contain and remove all of the crud found in our ducts. Brinden and Armando asked if we had ever cleaned the dryer vent. We turned them loose in the laundry room where they removed even more debris. I was very happy with the duct cleaning service. I expect we'll have done again and sooner than 17 years. read more

Campbell & Company has been who we've gone to since we moved into this house five years ago. They've always been polite, prompt, respectful, and kind. The techs are always knowledgeable and the fixes stick. During the COVID crisis we've had a couple of emergencies and even after we were vaccinated, their techs always show up in masks. I very much appreciate that, since we have at-risk kids who are too young to be vaccinated. I couldn't be happier with their service and will definitely be a customer for life. read more

I have been taking my HVAC to be set in place for several years. I take the filter to Campbells, they replace the filter that I take home and place in my unit. The young man who did this must have been in a hurry because he did not completely put the filter in place. When I got home and tried to put it in the unit it would not fit. Had to go back to Pasco from South Richland and have another technician put it in place...simple but never should have happened in the first place. The ladies apologized a bunch and gave me a Mcdonalds card and a $10 certificate on my next purchase. This was great but the young man should be admonished to look the filter over before returning it to me. read more

I really like the company and trust their techs. Had them over many many times - both at my old and at my new house. Never had an issue with their responsiveness, professionalism, the techs that came out, ... they do however charge waaaaay too much for their services. Dispatch fee of 258 dollars and a fan motor replacement of over 1000 dollars just today (everywhere online puts an upper limit of 600-700 bucks for the fix). I understand there is a price to pay for quality service, but this is too much. Give people a break. read more

I've had 4 visits and 4 different people to work on my furnace this year alone. The first visit I was charged to troubleshoot an air filter. He never did figure out the problem and just forgot about me. The second visit was for the AC and seemed to be fixed. But a month later still having issues with the AC. He came back and couldn't figure out the issue. Another charge of course. And also just forgot about me. I had to call to see what the plan was. The Service Manger then came out and diagnosed the problem as a control board. Luckily it was under warranty but I still have to pay $300 to install it and no guarantee it truly is the problem. So I just have to keep paying and paying for no resolution. Oh, and the air filter was also under warranty but the first guy didn't mention that. That's another $80 to deliver the part. No installation, just to deliver the part. read more
