Instead of addressing the problem I called about, the technician spent his time looking for other issues around my house and presented me with a long list of expensive repairs, including replacing my water heater. They then pressured me to sign a contract on the spot so they could get me on the schedule for the very next day. The most concerning part was that, after recommending thousands of dollars in additional work, they admitted they still couldn't guarantee any of it would actually solve the problem I originally called about. I was told that the sales representatives work on commission, which gives them a financial incentive to sell customers as much work as possible. Based on my experience, that certainly seemed to be the case. Thankfully, my dad was there and recognized what was happening. He stepped in and told them they were taking advantage of the situation. The very next day, I hired a different plumber. He listened to what I said, fixed the exact issue I originally called about, and it completely solved the problem. To top it off, he charged me less than half of what this company was going to charge. If you're looking for a plumber who will diagnose and fix the problem you actually called about, I would look elsewhere.

Would definitely use him again over any of the large companies that want you to pay for a maintenance plan and overcharge everything.

They quickly diagnosed the problem as having a cracked heat exchanger. They recommended replacing the furnace as repair would be around the same cost plus a new one comes with a warranty. They sent me a quote which I approved and they replaced the unit promptly. The new one they put in was more efficient than the old one and they also replaced the thermostat and fresh air damper unit. I learned so much about the process from them. They are attentive to answering your questions. The price seemed to be reasonable with what other HVAC companies are charging. They are very respectful of property and keep you informed throughout the process what they are doing. I am very impressed with their work. He took the time to explain to us what was wrong with the system in terms that we could understand. And in the end he gave us what we thought was a very reasonable estimate of repair. We appreciate Nick's time. At this point, we've had a couple of estimates of repair that made us feel a little apprehensive about the process. Nick made it to where we felt taken care of instead of being taken advantage of. Going forward we will make sure to use Apollo heating and air-conditioning for all of our needs. I had Apollo install a heat pump system many years ago, and have used them for bi-annual…read moremaintenance servicing since. But last year a part went out, and I had Apollo replace it. Then, this year, less than a year later, the same part was acting up (very noisy fan/motor), so I had Apollo come out to check it. I was told that the part had failed again, but that neither the manufacturer nor Apollo would stand by the product. So, I paid over $325 for the part, and another $220 for the diagnosis (nearly $550) for a product that didn't even last a year. I chose not to have Apollo replace it again, and I will not be patronizing Apollo again.
