Worst experience ever Perchased a three thousand dollars diamond solitare on Jan25, 2025. The diamond fell out and I actually found it. Took it back to them and they repaired the ring. within 6 weeks the diamond fell out again. This time I didn't find it. You would think that they would replace the diamonds since this was the 2nd time and the ring isn't even 6 months old. I had my original diamond ring for 25 years before the diamond came out. I feel that they should have replaced the diamond at no charge but instead they said we could buy a replacement at the same price it was 6 months ago. The salesperson sold me a Rolex a few years back- they claimed it was a style that was no longer being made. It was on Rolex's website for $5600 then and is STILL available for $6000. they charged us 3x that and took advantage of us for being first time Rolex buyers. Out of all the Jewelry stores I have dealt with; Genesis Diamonds is by far the worst. I had a set of criteria that seemed very reasonable and apparently my criteria were hilarious to Mr. Boaz, the owner and founder of Genesis Diamonds (See image) My criteria, to put simply, was a setting that was shaped like a quatrefoil; a diamond that was roughly 0.75 carats, G in color, VS1 in clarity, and an ideal cut; an engagement ring with pave diamonds; and within a budget of $5-7k. Mr. Boaz sales method was to trash talk his competitors, call his co-workers hillbillies that wouldn't understand my "unique" request, and tried to complement my knowledge of jewelry by calling the public hillbillies. After my experience with Genesis Diamonds, I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere, like Mr. Boaz ironically said too in his email. Company owners should hold themselves to a higher standard and I do not see myself ever doing business with them. Update from original review post: After posting my review, Mr. Boaz decided to email me again because he saw the review that I posted. (See 2nd image) In this new email Mr. Boaz calls my method of getting quotes a "circus". The process I took to find the exact ring, that my girlfriend told me she had an interest in, is the process that Toyota uses with their Tier 1 companies. Toyota would, and still does, sends out a quote of what they are wanting a price on to multiple companies. They then choose the company that offers them the best deal. To me, this is the most effective way to do business! I realize that not everyone would agree with the process I took, and to some, doing this for a ring could be viewed as silly. Regardless of opinions, the approach I would expect from a business; who doesn't want to participate in this type of quoting process; would be to ignore the email. Instead of ignoring the email, Mr. Boaz took the approach of making a mockery out of it. Personally, working for a man who thinks of his employees as hillbillies, isn't someone I would want to work for. Mr. Boaz continues in his email too say half-truths in hopes that it would bother me. Which, by typing this review, I'm sure he will believe his efforts was successful. All in all, I could continue this review and point out what parts he said were true and what parts were false however, doing so would make this review post much longer than it needs to be. In summary, just take your business elsewhere because you'll be happier in the long run not having to deal with a business owner who enjoys making fun of people's differences. read more

Overall, the experience here was good until the manager stepped in and tried to "close" the sale. We worked with an attendant named Sarah (I believe?) who was extremely helpful and kind and found an amazing diamond for us. I then started to ask about the process from here. I just wanted to start talking about options to move forward. I was curious if they would allow us to put a deposit down on the diamond to hold it for a week or so while we talk about it and thought it over. This seemed to set them off as the manager then came over and was pressing us on why we would ever need to put a deposit down and saying we weren't being transparent with them. They were then essentially pressuring us to buy the diamond in full right then. She was then trying to turn my girlfriend against me by saying she loved the diamond and that I'd be disappointing her by not buying the diamond that day. I told her that I need about a week to get the rest of the funds and she goes, "Oh I get it, you just don't want to pay full price for the diamond." At this point we walked out. I was extremely disappointed as we really were interested in the diamond and I would have been interested in hearing other options to move forward but they chose some very aggressive sales tactics when I was simply trying to get information on what options we had to move forward. I feel bad for our attendant who lost out on a commission because of their manager who stepped in at the last second and treated us poorly and ruined our experience. read more

Shelby and Joey kept in touch and in order for him to have the ring in time for Christmas they flew one of their team members to Philly to deliver the ring to Shelby so he'd have it Christmas morning! Meanwhile, I'm just thinking he's still shopping around or working out the details of something and maybe this spring he'd pop the question. So, Christmas morning Shelby got down on one knee!!!! It's the prettiest ring I've ever seen and the team at genesis will exceed all expectations and truly go out of their way for their customers. You need to go ask for Joey. You'll be in great hands. He's a no nonsense, shoot it to you straight kind of guy, and from the time we met him I prayed Shelby would work with him. He was wonderful to us. I wanted to share my unpleasant post-purchase experience. When I received the ring, there were 2 issues: 1) The size was too small. The ring didn't fit right so I took it in and they said that it wasn't the 4.5 that I ordered but just .25 smaller. Their explanation was it's made by Verragio, the 4.5 is the outer ring. I thought to myself... that doesn't make sense, the ring should be made to fit my finger. The customer service lady says, "they're professionals... they made it correctly to your size." Excuse me? I bought a ring to fit me, if I wear a 4.5, they need to account for the inner ring to fit the customer - what kind of response is that? RUDE! They sized it a bit and it fits better than earlier. 2) I noticed a missing diamond in the first halo the... WTH? My wedding was in a couple of weeks and it wasn't that noticeable so I didn't want to not have my ring for more than a week since they said they may have to send it back to Verragio. Anyway, I took my ring in about 2 weeks ago and they got it back to me in a week. The ring came back bling bling.. awesome! I fell in love with it again. But wait... it's not over... I just found ANOTHER missing diamond... now..OMG - you wouldn't think spending this type of money and going through this much of an ordeal.
