I…read moreattended a Rush University graduation recently, ended up getting to my seat very late as there were so many people trying to park, walk, and enter. I missed the start of the event. I was able to find a parking spot in a garage, paid a load of cash, and was nearly squashed trying to navigate into the structure. Even with people in neon vests on the street directing traffic, it was chaotic. I can't figure out why they'd put an arena this size in a tiny footprint in a crowded city. The seats were tiny, uncomfortable, and the steps to them so steep that older folks were really struggling to climb them. The acoustics were good. I could clearly hear the speakers. Next time, I'll take an Uber and get there extra early.

But I've been to a lot of baseball tournaments with my son's travel team and this place has some pros: -covered dugouts and seats (extremely useful when we got rained out one day) -concession stand with good smoothies and fries (bar was not open) -working indoor bathrooms (no porta potties) It desperately needs a rehab but its not an awful place.

Heat index was above 100 degrees. There is no shade structures, trees or way to get out of the sun. And everywhere you looked all you saw was signs banning coolers. What the heck are they thinking? Really, honestly, I'm still trying to figure this one out.

I revived weekly emails about 1 month before the concert, informing me of parking/bag/ticket info, etc. There were plenty of merch stations, food and drink spots, and helpful staff. Bathrooms were clean and chairs were comfy and padded. Chairs and floor were clean. Everything inside looked new. Drink menu looked great and syrups are made in-house at the bar in the 200 level. One drink with tax and tip is about $26 though, so beware. I would gladly return to this arena for another concert.

Drink prices here are through the roof (which is to be expected but still kinda annoying). I paid $36 for 2 cans of modelos. Most sections had no security so there were many people who kept seat hoping. It was mainly an issue for people who had front row seats since people would sneak into your spot if you left to use the restroom, to the bar, etc.. they'd move out of your spot once you returned but it's still annoying to have to repetitively do that if you need to leave for a short period of time. Overall it's not a bad arena.

I was there for today's 10:35 am game with the New York Boulders, they play night games and day games, and sometimes 10:35 am on a weekday morning, they only have won more weekday 10:35 first pitch for this season and that is tomorrow morning with the same team, and they have games in August at home. And if you are an Elvis Presley fan, Elvis night on August 17th.
