The employees are very friendly. And they do seem to have some good deals in their weekly adds. Particularly impressive is their deli counter. They have a great spread of sliced deli meats and cheeses. They have a rotating menu of prepared deli entrees and sides to choose from. And they have a lot of different prepared/packaged meals that are all done there at the deli (varieties of chicken salads, wraps, sandwiches, hot cooked chicken breast, hot dogs, brats, etc...). They also have a nice salad bar with lots of fresh cut fruit. They have a nice seafood counter with a good selection of fish and shell fish. And they have a pharmacy. Glad this is our new neighborhood store.

This review is based solely off of their sushi section…read more I have been going to this hen house since I was in highschool (over 10+ years) solely for this women's sushi. Every Wednesday they run a special for 5.55 rolls. Back a couple of years ago, the cashier there told me the lady who makes their sushi has been doing so for years - even turning down opportunities to start her own restaurant. She's super friendly and very accommodating to requests. The sushi rice is perfectly cooked and the flavor is always on point for me. Extremely consistent as well and I believe on par with other sushi restaurants. For a little over 5 bucks, I'm always satisfied.

The Hen House salad bar is awesome and priced incredibly reasonably. The produce, meat, and…read moretoppings are fresh and plentiful with a large number of options for a price that beats the community college student center salad bar across the street. I wound up here hunting for Keto friendly meal bars. The price for the good ones is $3 higher than our grocery near home, which...you know...hard to swallow so to speak. So, failing in my hunting, I wandered over to the salad bar, and decided to make a lunch and take it back with me to the office. After finding enough fresh yummy goodies to fill a plastic box, I was expecting a tasty but pricy weigh-in at the counter. (They weigh the salad, not the shopper, in case you were worried). "Do you have a Hen House Card?" "Sure do, although It's probably from years ago... well ok, that worked..." "The salad bar is still on sale, so here you go." Boom. I got out of there for $6 for a similar salad I put together at JCCC for $9 the other day. With the money saved, I could get those keto bars! Except no. I'll really get them next time we do our shopping for home. But still! What a deal! I'm happy. I'm full. I have change in my pocket. There were next to no carbs in my salad choices, so I bet I can eat an entire cookie cake when I get home! Except not, but I can dream a little. Maybe if the cookie cake is $3 off and they forgot to put in the sugar...and the flour...and anything that's good and tasty.... What was I talking about? Like the salad bar! Good and tasty and affordable!

Prices seem high but not anymore than other stores that offer similar products and service. Food is just unbelievably high in July 2026. Maybe I'll look back in a few years and think it was inexpensive but I sure hope I'm making a lot more or I'll be barely eating. I love the different selection of products you can get at Sprouts and they are one of the only groceries in the Overland Park area that carries boars head products in their deli! I've always encountered nice employees and the store is always clean. I'm always feeling happy about what I found in their clearance section as well!

For such a small space they manage to throw in a pretty good selection of most things, including beer and wine, which is more than I can say about some business with a lot more available space. 2. Although many of their items are priced higher than nearby competitors, most of the prices are still pretty reasonable, especially considering that this place is in some ways a convenience store. 3. All of the employees have always been very nice to me as well as helpful when I have had any questions. And finally, they are open for all major hoildays! I can't tell you how many times I've had to scramble for some Single Malt Scotch or extra wine on Christmas and they have been my savior.

I stopped into this Aldi's for the first time in quite a while because I get my groceries delivered…read morefrom Walmart. But I wanted to see if they had added any new gluten-free items. I put my quarter into a cart and went up and down all of the aisles to check out their products. Aldi has a lot of good products for reasonable prices. I think they had moved their produce closer by the door and it was quite congested so I really didn't get to look at that area as much. Everything that we're in the fridge and freezer areas looked fresh and well stocked. I always enjoy going down their aisle that has a variety of non-grocery items to see what they have. They did have quite a bit of gluten-free items and a lot of variety of specialty beverages. While I was there, I purchased a variety of beverages for my husband to try. I purchased some gluten-free protein shakes and items as well as some snack things for my grandkids. And I also got a tool for working out knots in the body. That was an excellent price for only $6.99 which was wonderful since I had been looking at Walmart and there was $28 and Amazon was $18 on sale! I checked my own items at that time because I didn't buy a whole lot while I was in on the first visit. I did go back the next day to return an unopened package and an opened package of protein cheese puffs. They were absolutely awful, but Aldi has a good return policy and I had the receipt and they immediately refunded my money on a gift card because I told them I was going to use it while I was there. On that day, I purchased a few more items and left. The only thing that I don't like and the reason I don't shop there is because it feels congested down the aisles and everyone seems like they are in a mad rush to shop. It's kind of stressful and they only had two checkers working and they expected you to check out your groceries on the rest of it. So I'm sticking with Walmart just because I love the ease of having my groceries delivered and ordering online. But I would recommend this store for the great deals and good product selection.
