    My favorite slice! Fresh mozzarella
    Katie J.

I visit this bakery and pizzeria every time I visit NYC. The food is delicious and the staff are SO nice. Seriously, the atmosphere is classic Italian with all the warmth of a family-run business. I don't know if it is or not, but that's how it strikes me. Every staff member in the bakery greets me and wishes me well when I leave and thanks me. I feel so great supporting this business and even better about stuffing my face with their delicious pizza and baked goods. The fresh mozzarella is my favorite slice, but it's all delicious, and anything you order is a good choice. I'll be back very soon...tomorrow probably.

I stopped in for a couple of slices and got a Sicilian and grandma. I'm usually not a fan of Sicilian slices, but this was actually excellent. The grandma slice also hit the spot. The price of each slice was $3, which also isn't bad compared to other places. They've also got a nice selection of baked goods that I'll have to try one day.

This bakery have a 4 star review... so I decided to order a cake online and get it delivered for Father's Day. And it was just a plain cake no "happy Father's Day" writing on it. It's kinda disappointing that I paid so much for the cake and the taste is weird. We got strawberry shortcake and pineapple but it's like jam in between the cake. Maybe I don't understand the concept of the cake but I don't like it. It's not bad just not a typical cake you would get.

    Cream puff

Stopped by with my friend because she wanted to pick up some Italian bread. The staff greeted us and was patient while we looked around. Their displays were lined with so many yummy looking desserts I had to try one. I got a cream puff and it was decently sized. The pastry was really good! The puff was soft and the cream tasted like ice cream!! I can't say how the other items were, but I'd definitely be back to try them!

I love Generoso's awhen i left Queens It took me a while to find an authentic Italian bakery in Brooklyn. And if you are like me, there is no need to look any further. They have great butter cookies, rainbow cookies and linzer tarts. Besides the great pastries they have some great cheesecakes. If you're in the neighborhood and are feeling like having a sandwich, they have a great Italian sandwich that will keep you coming back all the time. And the owner and his wife are total sweethearts, they are always friendly and always happy to help with a smile. Please dont forget to adhere to proper social distancing protocols!

Heard great things about this bakery but was suddenly disappointed.Theres not enough variety to pick from .Cannolis were good though.Ordered 10$ of cookies. Got like 5$ worth in my opinion.Just go to Staten Island's italian bakeries you'll get more high quality ingredients for your money and a little more on your pastry box.Got charged for Using Card. I'd only come here for cannolis.

    Chocolate chip canolli

Came here after reading a few Yelp reviews. Place is old and dimmly lit. Display showed a vast array of Italian cookies, breads, but not a lot of selections on pastries. Got their Chocolate chip canolli, and their huge Almond Mazapan Cookie. The Almond cookie tasted really good because of the size it took me two days to completely finish the cookie. Price is average around Brooklyn. Might come back for the cookie but nothing else from this place stands out.

One of the only Italian bakeries left in Sunset Park. When you walk in, you are greeted by a lovely old Italian grandma who says, "GOOD MORNING." When I ask her what's good, she says, "EVERYTHING." Like the service, the pastries are sweet, but not overly sweet. Since discovering this bakery in the midst of Mexican restaurants of Sunset Park, I can tell it is very special. It delivers all you could want from a bakery like Veniero's, but it doesn't have the hype surrounded it. This keeps the prices low and our bellies full. After selecting a series of cakes, I must say I cannot choose a favorite. The strawberry shortcake was very rich, almost like a wedding cake. The strawberry jelly enhanced the flavor of the butter cream just a bit. The tiramisu was perfumed with liquor and had traces of salt and other spices. The chocolate mousse was light and airy and full of flavor. The cookies are fresh and delicious. This Italian family definitely knows what they are doing and have been doing it for years.

    Birthday cakes for pick up.

I went in to order two cakes today. I went early in the morning. It's a small little shop. I'm due to pick up my cakes Saturday. They're pretty busy so I hope the cakes come out great. They're very kind and generous. They took their time to take my order regardless of the length of people lined up to get their morning coffee. I hope all the reviews are true to their taste buds. I'll update my review once I've received and sliced my cakes. Pictures to follow. Follow up. I lied about the pictures. Hahaha I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the cakes prior to being cut. But I ordered a chocolate and vanilla cake. Somehow I expected the actual bread/cake part to be two different layers of each flavor...but no. It was the custard. So that cake was okay. Moist. Not that crazy over it. The kids didn't like it much. The second cake was better. Strawberry shortcake. Full of more preserved strawberries. The adults liked it.

Great neighborhood spot that's been there forever and great service and overall a good old school Italian bakery and I had a cake made there for my mom and it was good.

Originally $12 owner sold it to me for $10. Was a whole pie my nieces had sum and loved it.

That was such a perfect idea. First thing we were there, and it was a warm and sultry morning at 6:30AM with the sun up to greet us along with a New York bridge adorning the scene to the south, with us eating outside on the sidewalk I could not imagine a better send off from this great world city. Bagels were a perfect breakfast and we sucked those back in a jiffy. Just as we were finishing, members of the US military, maybe national guardsmen, showed up in black SUVs right in front of us and parked. They got out, a gaggle of them and headed in for their bagels. Well that's something to remember and not an every day sight for us being from Canada, and added to the local flavour of this epic road trip.

I pulled up and I see "Mr" Bagels cafe. For Brooklyn, it sounds like pure class. I'm sure the owner must have a pinky ring. Walking inside, the bagel counter are front and center. To the left, is a coffee bar with multiple coffee choices. Nice looking spot. I ask for a Sesame Bagel with Cream Cheese. Would you like that toasted sir? Wait a second Years ago, I asked for my bagel toasted at Murrays Bagels in Chelsea. The guy behind the counter? He lost his mind! The next day, they put up a hand written sign: No Toasted Bagels So I'm always lerry when asking for extras. Except the bagel guy asked me so I feel relaxed. I pour myself a cup of delicious French Roast Coffee and my bagel is ready. The bagel is perfect. It has a nice chew, just a little too big but thats my personal taste. The cream cheese, even though it's plain, is very silky. Mr Bagels, thank you. Until we meet again.
