The guy came out and was here literally less than 40 minutes (we have the entire encounter on our ring camera). When he came, he told us he could only remove a 12 inch diamter by 10 for limb that had fallen on our deck since it was on a structure and he could not do any of the other clean up. My wife questioned the cost of doing the other work and he siad 2,800 which she replied no thanks! We ended up doing all the other clean up ourselves and we're both in our 60's. When we got the invoice in the mail, they charged us 2,800! We called to see if there was a mistake and the woman on the phone siad no, that's the price you need to pay. Literally, less than 30 minutes - I've had entire trees cut down AND stump grind for less than that! We will pay this invoice, but we are going to be filing a complaint with the BBB for possible price gouging. Do not deal with this company! Like one of the previous reviews, if I could give a 0 I would.

The trees appeared -to not have been pruned or shaped for a good number of years and were quite overgrown. The crew's training and knowledge as arborists was clear - both trees looked wonderful when they were done. The crew worked safe, they were careful to not damage things in the area, they were responsive to our input and questions, and they did an excellent job of cleanup. They didn't try to sell us any additional services; we were charged what they had quoted for the job. They had done work at our last place and our experience then was also very positive. These guys just do great work.

I figured I would take the first company who got there, and contact the other one not to come. I did not know Van Booven had arrived and was already working because they did not contact me or ring my door bell. I looked out my window and no one was there in front of my house. So when the other company called, I told them to come out. Turns out after the other company called and I told them to come out, I heard some machinery so I went outside and saw Van Booven's truck parked 2 houses north of mine - I have no idea why so far away. Then I saw a couple of men on my driveway working on downed tree limbs. The other company arrived shortly and I had to turn Van Booven away. I would have used Van Booven if they had let me know they were there. When I told them I was using the other company, the man said they would send me a bill. Honestly, if you were a house painter and a homeowner asked you to paint their house, would you paint it any color you wanted, or would you first consult with the owners? This was a similar situation. Van Booven sent me a bill for $325 just for coming out. Given the above information, I do not recommend Van Booven as I do not feel they are honest and I feel they did not care what I wanted because they did not consult with me before they began working.

They would not give senior discount although that is listed as an option. I have called 4 times in September/October 2018 and was always told the owner would call back and come out. That has not happened. It appears that I have $50 to kill one of my trees and both plums are needed for pollination.

We were greeted and shocked that he kept the same price from a year ago...for a full day neighborhood project. When it came time for the project to begin, they were right on time with all the equipment necessary to do our complete neighborhood and boy did they! At 5:00 when it was time for them to leave (we again rented them for a complete day) they gave us a little more time to finish up a few trees to help someone out (ME). We ran out of time on the neighborhood trees....and as was scheduled my tree's were to be last to insure everyone else in the neighborhood got their tree's done first... They said no problem and appreciated that we thought of others before ourselves. The Foreman stated that we will do yours and then we are outta here... I was VERY pleased with their kindness and Christian like attitude throughout the entire day although "HOT" and very tedious work we scheduled that day.

They were highly skilled, worked quickly but safely, were careful about our property, cleaned up as they worked and afterwards extensively. A big 80 foot tree in a tight space between fence and pool deck was GONE in under 3 hours. The yard looked a little walked on, but otherwise just as it had been. Anything they had moved they carefully replaced. It was fascinating to watch them work and how they coordinated and worked together and even seemed to be having a pretty good time, despite the heat and workload. Highly recommended. Definitely will use them again should the need arise. One of the best hires for services around our home in quite some time.

He made a short video clip showing which trees needed work and how much to trim off (in case his other employees do the work). I like the idea of providing work to smaller, local companies, so I decided to go with them rather than the other companies I researched. I reached out in early April, but it took roughly 7 weeks to finally have a date set. The abundant rain really set them back. I would suggest scheduling in early March. I had to text Daniel to come back to remove the huge pile of fallen limbs from winter as we discussed this in person, but we both forgot to include it in the video. This was taken care of in a timely manner. This is a cash only business, which can be a bit of an inconvenience if you can't be there on your scheduled day to pay; so we met up at a later date.
