We have used Urban Tree Specialists for several years, but I've never written a review until now…read more Bret Cleveland, the owner, is an honest, straight shooter when it comes to the care of the trees on your property. After working with him over the years, we don't think of him as just another vendor. We think of him as someone we've built a relationship with and trust a great deal. We have several maple trees along our driveway, and the one closest to the street lost a large branch during a recent storm. This wasn't the first time the tree had dropped a major limb, so we asked Bret to assess whether it could be saved or if it was time to remove it. Once we decided to take the tree down, it took about eight weeks before the work was scheduled. That wasn't an issue for us because Bret had been upfront about the timeline from the beginning. The three-person crew arrived Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. and finished by 11:30 a.m. What impressed me most was how well the team worked together. Everyone had a clear role, they communicated constantly, and there was very little wasted movement. It was obvious they had done this together many times before. I don't know if every tree service operates this way, but I was amazed at how clean they left the job site. Every branch, twig, and piece of debris was removed. They clearly take pride in their work and treat your property with the same care they would their own. If you have storm damage, need routine tree trimming, or simply want an honest opinion about the health of the trees on your property, I would strongly recommend giving Urban Tree Specialists a call.

They never contacted me and so I called them in 2023 had them back out. If u use this company you better keep your own schedule somewhere you will remember because they will not.

I was out of state at the time, and they came out super quickly and began work immediately, while I was en route back to the house. They were somehow able to get the tree down without causing further damage, and they left the property spotless when they were done. They made one part of a super stressful situation a lot more bearable, so I can't thank them enough for that. Also, I'd like to add, watching them work was actually a pretty mesmerizing experience. It's dangerous work, and and I salute them for doing what they do.

He refused but said he would come back at a later date and trim the tree further back to my satisfaction. I have since called him five times to try to get him to come back. He always has some lame excuse. On one such call he even said he was out of the country! The last time I called, after listening to my request he hung the phone up on me. I should have withheld payment until I was satisfied. That was my mistake, but that doesn't excuse his lack of courtesy or behavior nor the fact that he lied to me and never had any intention of returning to trim the tree to my satisfaction. Needless to say, I will do no further business with him or his company nor do I recommend him to anyone else. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. If you do hire him, make sure you do not pay him until you are satisfied with the work. As the customer, you have the right to have the work done to your satisfaction, and as the saying goes, the customer is always right.
