At the height of the season, he and his 6 member crew were at my home (in only two days) at 8:15 a.m. sharp, ready to work. I had a LOT of trees to do! To my total shock, they were working HARD within 10 minutes. They never stopped one time to take a break. These men are among the hardest working gentlemen I've ever seen! They worked together with precision and teamwork, each commanding a specific position to assure fast, accurate, and impressive results. Noel was a true professional, taking command of every tree's particular demise. His crew was also respectful. Not only did they remove then rake every single fallen limb from the yard, they even cleaned the patio deck, driveway, and sidewalks with a power blower. My home has never looked so good! I hired this man to trim the tree in my back yard. When he came to my door after his crew had finished, I told him I wasn't satisfied with the result and wanted the tree cut further back away from the house. He refused but said he would come back at a later date and trim the tree further back to my satisfaction. I have since called him five times to try to get him to come back. He always has some lame excuse. On one such call he even said he was out of the country! The last time I called, after listening to my request he hung the phone up on me. I should have withheld payment until I was satisfied. That was my mistake, but that doesn't excuse his lack of courtesy or behavior nor the fact that he lied to me and never had any intention of returning to trim the tree to my satisfaction. Needless to say, I will do no further business with him or his company nor do I recommend him to anyone else. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. If you do hire him, make sure you do not pay him until you are satisfied with the work. As the customer, you have the right to have the work done to your satisfaction, and as the saying goes, the customer is always right. read more

After seeing the great job of removing a large Oak tree for my mother, I called Noel Tree Service on a Friday for a quote to remove a large sweetgum and and a dying Redbud. The quote was provided the next day and because it was very reasonable, we agreed to the pricing. They promptly came the following Thursday and removed both trees, cleaned up all debris, and disassembled and re-stacked a brick tree ring. All of this was accomplished within a week of initial contact. We've had 5 sweetgums removed by various tree companies over the years. I just had Noel Martinez and his crew out to do tree work for me. His price was very fair, and he and his crew were professional and efficient and did everything that they had promised. They actually left my yard strikingly neat; a lot neater than they found it. They didn't leave a leaf or a twig anywhere, and they were very careful of the plants in my garden and of my things (I don't know about other people, but I've found that sometimes people are less careful of things that don't look important, even if it's a rare tree peony that you've been nursing along for the last few seasons). My only caveat is to be patient with communication and scheduling. Being new to the responsibilities of home ownership and this being the first time I had hired a tree company: between the weather, which ended up being the week when a hurricane was sending daily rain from the south, and difficulties with my own schedule, it was not possible to schedule the service down to the day. I used Noel Tree Service to remove a dead tree and stump grind it. I have mixed feelings about them. My tree is near a wood fence and black plastic edging. I was very clear with Noel-- if you damage anything, you fix it or you pay for it to be fixed. He agreed. Although they didn't damage the fence, they severely damaged an entire section of edging. They actually pulled up the entire thing. When the job was over, Noel came for the money and didn't mention the obvious damage. I told him he would be paid after my inspection. After I found the damage, I asked him to fix it and he said, "This is why I don't do cheap jobs. Had I known, I wouldn't have taken this job." After his guys tried to fix it, he said, "I don't have time for this. Take what ever you want off the check and we'll get going. " I took off $100. I thought his attitude was unprofessional and kind of rude. Having said all that, he took down my tree as promised for the reasonable price of $900 minus the $100. The bigger companies charge about $1400 for the same thing. In fact, Noel initially quoted that, but I negotiated. The reason he damaged my edging is because he just let the big, cut pieces drop. He didn't use the rope to place it gently. Saves time, but causes damage. I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. Would I use him again? I might, but if I had to pay the same as one of the big companies, I'd go with the big company. At the same time, I have a bad taste in my mouth when I see the damage. I will be generous and give him 4 stars and you can decide if it's worth the risk. He does have several good reviews. read more

Called this gentleman to cut down a dead tree in front of our church. He cut down the top part but left enough hanging over our sidewalk to be a concern for people walking underneath. And left all the debris in the yard and didn't clean up! He assured us he would come back and remove the other limb that was hanging but we haven't seen him since. He won't return our calls or texts. He was paid in full for a job half done. Won't be calling him again or recommending him to anyone else. Messy, not professional and not a man of his word. read more

Is it your policy that when you are doing work at someone's house that your workers should go into a neighbor's dumpster to throw away trash and or pee in it? I drove up to my house and found one of your guys inside of my dumpster - by his stance (and the fact that he didn't leave any trash) I assume he was using my dumpster as a bathroom which is DISGUSTING. When I called the number on your truck to complain the man I spoke with didn't seem overly concerned nor apologetic. Your company should be ashamed and appalled. read more
