Soso, prices starting to move upward. Sometimes rude,oh well . They do have a nice selection

This place is INSANE! Be prepared to lose at least an hour hunting for gorgeous rocks, gems, minerals, beads, and so much more. It's a tightly packed warehouse style space with stuff literally everywhere - it's definitely overwhelming at first, so I'd suggest doing a quick walkthrough and then strolling each aisle until the perfect pieces call you! Most items were priced by the ounce and there are scales every couple aisles so that you can get an idea of cost. Compared to most other stores in Quartzite, this seemed to have by far the best prices, albeit the quality might not necessarily be comparable to some of the smaller stores in town. read more

Great selection, good prices, quality is decent and the people are helpful. I bought some beautiful laboradorite at a great price and rose quartz too read more

have been coming here for a decade and every time it's a different experience - this time there was a guy unloading amethyst geodes wearing an open carry side arm who kept looking at me like he wanted to shoot me for whatever reason, plus a customer wandering around the store with a 12 inch knife on his belt - you've really got to wonder if Quartzite has gotten that much more dangerous at noon on a Monday or if the whole town just attracts a lot of crazy - in any case they've got tons of stuff cheap but they're closed in summer so call before you drive out there read more

I visit Gemworld regularly through their open season and haul material for my business (Horse Mountain Rocks & Gems) back to Colorado. We are always pleased with our experience at Gemworld but without a doubt, the incredible staff is the best part! Charissa is absolutely incredible and we are more and more impressed with her with each visit! Denny and all of the other helpers there are always friendly and go above and beyond for us. Highly recommended!! read more

Gem World is the best place to purchase gemstones! It is a yearly trip where I am never disappointed!! Great customer service, selection, and prices! Thanks Nadine for helping us out! read more

love gem world so much! Nadine is the sweetest, she was so nice and generally seems happy to help, hope the best for her, we love her

Great customer service ( Thank you Amelia for your help) Great selection and Awesome prices !!! Definitely will be back.

Great place been coming here for years! Good variety and great value. It's my first and last stop during the gem show!

Stopped here on our way to and from Sedona, so glad we did, took care of all our vacation shopping and some Christmas gifts. They have an amazing selection and wholesale prices. Every employee we met helped us in our four-five hours total in the store was very kind and helpful. Not everything is priced clearly so we had to ask questions which was never an issue to find someone and they never seemed bothered. We visited a couple other stores in Quartzsite on our way in but this is then only one we had to come back to on our at home. We will definitely will make special trips to go back, it's worth the 3 hr drive (one way) imo. read more

The prices are the best, and the service is very good. They are going through a restock, so the place is a little out of order, and they just reopened their location. Don't mind the negative comments of the complainers. This place is awesome. I shopped and mine crystals all over the USA, and I know most of their items come from China and Brazil, but the prices beat eBay, Etsy, Aliexpress, and other crystal shops I've been to by 50-75% with prices. Stop complaining and give a review based on that. People with two stars are probably the ones who give waiters the waterest tips and complain about everything, like on Amazon. Be the same people who complain that air smells like air read more

We make a once a year trip to this shop and literally spend thousands of dollars on stones each time. I'm not sure if we would keep coming back if it wasn't for Charissa. She remembers us every time and is incredibly helpful. read more

What fun! Even if you are not a rock collector, this place is something to experience. Rocks of every size, shape and color, and so many huge geode crystals. Every one should have one in their office or home, well maybe not everyone. Any way, we toured and found the staff very willing to help us, even though the stone we were searching for was not found. They pointed to a time and place when we could get our piece of lapiz and when lapidary people would be in town to shape it as we desired. SO very nice. I will be returning to get some more gems on my next trip through Quartzite. read more

If you're in the area and enjoy great deals on gems, awesome place to stop by for a few hours and pick up some great deals.

It's gem show time in Quartzite with tons of dealers. I went to my favorite today - Gem World. They were crazy busy and for good reason - amazing variety with the best prices. Also their staff is just the best - the cashier at the end of the counter - closest to the door was extremely helpful as I was buying a huge amethyst crystal. Also she was calm and very professional during check out. And a huge thanks to Shamus for the packing job of tons of stones and helping us out to the car. Still a fan, guys. Thanks for helping my small business provide great quality gems! read more

What a huge variety of items for the jewelry maker and stone collector. While you are there, make sure to say hi to Carissa & Dillon. They where exceptionally helpful. read more

I have been coming to Gem World for the past seven years. There are a lot of good finds in minerals and crystals if you are willing to spend a good amount of time searching the whole store. George is always on the ball with his pricing if you have a question. Charissa was amazing for checkout- I had and extensive amount of product and she took the time to detail everything out for me while Michael packed it all nicely up. She went beyond what many do for the wholesale buyer and it was much appreciated. read more

10/10 recommend! Not only are their prices great but their employees are 100% awesome too. They have EVERYTHING memorized so all goes smooth at check out. If you have a doubt on a price, they will gladly go double check for you. I've only had one issue where a large crystal I purchased didn't make it home with me in the boxes. They made a little investigation into it and to say the least, they fixed my issue. I've gotten terrible service at other establishments so I was hesitant to call at first and was willing to just take the hit. But I'm glad I called... two thumbs up! read more

Came in with my husband and bought a lot of amazing crystals, the lady named Charissa and the guys packing were very friendly. I love this place and would go back again. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Love this place so much. Amazing selection and Nadine is always the best. She is helpful and knowledgeable. I ask for her every time I shop for the past few years. read more

Amazingly cheap, but I preferred the places up the road a bit with higher quality stones, crystals, and jewelry; better presentation, and more accessible customer service. read more

One of my favorite places on earth. I always find so many amazing gems here for a fraction of retail prices. Staff is always so nice and helpful. Gem folks always are! They are grounded. read more

I have really grown accustomed to stoping here on my way out from Airzona but I went in on Easter and there was an older lady who rang me and My mom up and she was beyond RUDE!!! The whole time she was ring us us she was huffing and puffing. To top it off my daughter asked about something in the case and she rolled her eyes and told my daughter they were expensive, insinuating we couldn't pay for it. Then my sister added a few extras to her purchase and she said in a rude tone "Are you DONE this time because I'm trying to leave." I understand it was Easter but that is no reason for rude customer service. If your going to be rude you should not work in retail. read more

We drove from central California to Arizona to visit Gem World. Great prices and great finds. It isn't AA quality, but you will find beautiful crystals here. I was hoping to find a clear quartz tower that was at least 5 inches... no luck, but we will be back read more

Wish I went here sooner. Some seriously amazing deals. Block out at least half a day to pick through.

Stopped by after visiting the Tyson Wells Rock and Gem Show and were shocked to discover the amazing selection and phenomenal prices at Gem World. I was able to obtain several pieces that I would never be able purchase elsewhere for the same price. The staff were helpful and kind, answering any questions I had. I look forward to going back when we return to Quartzsite next year. Highly recommend!! read more

A must stop for our family when we drive to Cali, The Better Half goes nuts in here. We always allocate at least 1 hour on the way back to Phoenix so that she can shop. It satisfies her until the next gem show in Tucson. She's like a kid visiting Disneyland....LOL The place is a massive warehouse, about the size of a Smart and Final store. This pic is only a small section the store. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/gem-world-quartzsite?select=0VM7QUxe_swVbbGiAlbFIw#0VM7QUxe_swVbbGiAlbFIw This place is loaded full of gemstones, beads, crystals, and just about anything related to that hobby. Cool shop, shady owner.. I'll start with the good stuff. If you're just a casual fan of rocks and minerals on the cheap then come here. If you're looking for collectable quality specimens, go to the many quartzsite rocks shows in January. - The Good - Great gift opportunities. - Great kid party idea is to buy a bunch of the "break your own geodes" located in the front of the store. As long as your kids are nimble enough to use a hammer it's a fun activity to open up the rock and see crystals. - Great place to pick up a unique gift for your kid ( or grandkid ) - Avoid the fossils like trilobites as many I saw were fake ( reproductions). - Ammonites are fine to buy but check for excessive repair work before purchase. Many that I saw had a lot of repair work. - Nice bathrooms outside. - The Bad I caught the owner of this place short changing me. Because of the nature of this place there is a lot of commotion going on during the buying process. Distractions are everywhere which makes it very easy to be scammed. After all of my rocks and fossils were weighed and priced, I handed the owner cash. The owner began counting out my change back slowly, all while I'm having kids pull the back of my shirt trying to get my attention. I noticed that he kept stacking ones, but the total he was calling out was as if there was a 10 at the bottom of the stack. I didn't think much of this and put the change in my empty pocket. Then I needed my change to give to someone else and noticed I was short a $10 bill. I knew right away that I was shorted. Fortunately, I was still standing at the front of the line when I noticed this discrepancy and called out the owner. He sheepishly gave my $10 back right away. Now, you're probably thinking that this was just a harmless accident, but the owner of this gem shop knows the price of every item in the massive store and even knows the bulk pricing for every item in this store. Are you saying that he doesn't know how to count back change correctly? In the end I did get my correct change back, but also felt really bad that I was this close to driving away never knowing what happed to my $10. Just how many other people have been in the same situation here? Most people who visit here are just passing through on long trips. Summary - - NEVER pay cash here. If you do, count every dollar out. read more

A mix of somewhat cool and "made in China" crap housed in a huge store with pretty decent prices. There were a few things I wanted to buy, but the service was so poor and down right rude I left. If you don't mind being treated badly, head on in. I prefer to give my money to stores that treat their customers well. read more

This place is a fantastic roadside stop. The sell geoes, crystals, rocks, fossils for 80% off what you pay at a hippy crystal store. Big boxes of stuff to dig though lots of stuff sold by weight. Fun to look around I always stop ony way to Los Angeles read more

Fascinating place- I spent about $100 on fossils, a stalagmite ($1.75 per pound!), calcite, a dozen other assorted rocks, including a beautiful piece of rose quartz. Also purchased dream catchers, skull beads, jade bracelets, a large bunch of dried sage, and a solid silver chain for only $17. Check out is a little dicey though. Most things are not labeled with names nor prices. The second lady who helped me quoted me a different price (more!) than the first lady. If I'm ever driving back from Dodgers' spring training- I'll definitely stop by again. read more

We could not believe the assortment of crystals, stones and accessories were in this place. It's massive. And the prices are just unbelievably inexpensive. We are definitely heading back out there again in the next month or so. The prices are unbeatable! read more

Most of the items were well priced- and we (my family, friends, and I) spent about three hours and several hundred $$ in there. When checking out, my mom was asked if she was wholesale and she accidentally replied "no." when we realized she was checking out, we ran up to make sure the lady (Heidi) knew she was wholesale. To which Heidi replied "what!? That other lady (my mom), said 'no'. I am NOT voiding this and starting over- because she said no to wholesale". She was maybe 10 items out of at least 50 items in to the sale, and hadn't even got to the tedious things that needed to be rung up. If it weren't for the fact that none of the rest of us had checked out and there was a sign at the register reading "we can refuse service to anyone for anything at anytime," we would have made sure she knew how we felt about her rude attitude. The other woman who helped my sister and I, on the other hand, was amazingly kind. I believe her name was Carissa. She was courteous and took her time answering the few questions we had at the register. read more

On our trip back home to California we decided to grab some crystals from Quartzsite. Wow we are so happy we did !! This is by far the best and most high quality crystals you can think of from gems to bead making supplies. The prices are INSANELY GOOD!!! Below wholesale. He has put together a great one stop shop. The Owner is a genuinely beautiful and kind human being. The fact that his energy and love is behind what he dose speaks volumes to the interaction and experience we had. Thanks George !!! read more

We wanted to stop here to see the camel outside of the store and take a look inside. Gem World never disappoints! We own a big rock and gem store in Washington State called Mystical Wares and we travel to Gem World four or five times throughout the year to restock.
