Dr was great, however the office staff were horrible…read more They schedule everyone for the same day around the same time knowing that they are basically overbooking and creating long wait times. Then they scheduled her follow up to get the stitches removed, they set up the appointment with her directly in front of me. I wrote down all the information as I knew I would be taking her back. I live out of state so I took another day off of work to be able to take her, as she was nervous for both the surgery and the stitch removal. The follow up appointment was scheduled for a Friday approximately 10 days after her surgery. Office staff walked us through the process of the surgery as well as the recovery/removal of stitches. Day comes to have stitches removed and we get to the office. I was fully expecting it to be completely packed like it was the first time we were there. Nope, no one in sight and doors locked. Apparently the office in East Stroudsburg is NEVER open on a Friday.... So after calling the number listed on the building I got to speak to not only one extremely nasty employee (Barin), but also her "manager" (Kathleen). They said the office is never opened on Fridays so why would I have made the appointment for a Friday... ummm I didn't make the appointment, the staff made it for us (-and just kept saying "when you come back here, it I'll be an easy removal for the stitches") Thankfully we got to the office very early that we were able to make it to the Allentown office, almost an hour away, before they closed! It was so stressful and Barin and Kathleen were not helpful, nice, or even sympathetic. My mom is over 70, she was already stressed enough with having to have surgery, she didn't need their incompetence and rudeness. I would not recommend this business, and would go elsewhere. When we did finally make it to the Allentown office (after racing the whole way there) it was so sketchy. The office staff there was loudly talking about how to get free/ low cost samples of ozempic from the sales rep, but it had to be on the down low, instead of helping their patients. The staff at both locations as well as the call center employees should all be retrained as they were severely lacking in customer care, customer support, and knowledge of what days the offices are actually open for appointments. Would not recommend to anyone.

First things first, it is incredibly hard to find a surgical dermatologist. In this field it often seems like aesthetics over everything. Before the pandemic ruined everyone's life I was being seen at 2 practices in north jersey - the first one didn't seem to understand why I would be bothered that my alopecia spots weren't healing and the second practice stopped taking insurance after my second appointment. As each injection is hundreds of dollars lmao that promising relationship ended quickly. Healthcare for the rich indeed. For the last 5 years I've been managing the patchiness on my own to inconsistent effect. Recently, another unrelated issue requiring surgery kicked me into high gear to find a new provider. I sought recs from my local FB group, friends and family, etc but they all kept leading me down cottage skincare and other lanes. It was actually a good old-fashioned Google search that led me to Dr. Patel. Bravo on winning the SEO game! From the moment I called (and rescheduled thrice due to car trouble - dang it MINI), the office was welcoming, accommodating, and scheduling relatively quick appointments. On my first visit, Dr.Patel and his team were thorough, curious, and caring. I felt so comfortable with them and I felt like I mattered. In many ways women become "invisible" after age 40 - add race and body size to the mix and it can be difficult to get the care and compassion needed to navigate health challenges. Dr. Patel suggested I get a full blood work up - and actually caught my low iron and anemia. So many somatic mysteries cleared up just because someone listened and cared. I have a surgical procedure scheduled in a few weeks that will bring me immediate comfort and the topical meds and injections Dr. Patel is giving me have restarted hair growth in some persistent patchy spots. I have had to wait from time to time but his staff is very friendly. He is out of network with insurances so he really only takes Medicare but they do send it off for you. Scheduling was fairly easy. They recently hired a new PA, Jennifer Rendall and she was great when I met her! She said she has practiced dermatology for 8 years and she seems very qualified. They also said if I ever need a later appointment she is doing extended hours so that is good to know. Although it is out of network I think spending a little extra money for great service is worth it.

I had severe radiation burns on my face, neck, and chest. Dr. Geller took one look at me, and prescribed medication that immediately healed and cleared up my skin. None of the doctors or nurse practitioners at the cancer center had ever heard of the medication, but you can bet they were taking notes so that they can prescribe it for their patients suffering from the same horrible side effects. Thanks to Dr. Geller I have seen a remarkable recovery. This was on my face after all. Dr. Geller's office is clean, bright, and cheerful. There is minimal waiting time to be seen, despite the fact that he has a very busy practice. His staff are warm and welcoming, and you feel relaxed as soon as the staff prepares your intake, and you are promptly seen by the doctor. They have a second location in Chester, if that is closer for you. There are female practitioners here as well, if that is your preference. The practice also sells med spa products and performs treatments for virtually every type of skin disorder. Dr. Geller looks like he was sent from Hollywood Central Casting. He takes his time getting to know my history and will go above and beyond to help me with psoriatic arthritis along with lots of little skin cancers. I tried explaining that I've had severe reactions to a number of drugs but he didn't want to hear it and handed me a stack of papers nearly 3/4 inch thick about the drugs he says i should be taking. I personally believe he never reviewed the list of drugs i was currently taking. So my entire double appointment was a commercial. Do what you want but I'd NEVER recommend Randolph Dermatology to anyone. I'd rate them in the negative numbers but this site doesn't allow that.
