This is basically my new favourite place to eat. The premise is simple: Ice(cream) & (pizza)Slice…read more The guy making the pizza is from Rome and a pizza genius. This pizza is just like the stuff you get in Italy, long rectangular slabs of pizza, sold by the - GIGANTIC - slice, for between £3 and £5, depending on the toppings. And the ice cream? It's the stuff dreams are made of, soft, creamy, delicious gelato swirled artfully into a waffle cone or cardboard cup and drizzled with chocolate; from a chocolate tap no less - a mesmerising liquid feature that you can't stop staring at as you devour your pizza slices.

Last week though, we were all disappointed and I felt quite embarrassed having invited friends from across the city just for dinner here. The staff were friendly as always but the food took ages. I think it was 40 minutes before we received our first plates (4 small slices at a time). They were okay but no way near as good as before. Supposedly they have a new chef *sigh*. Way too much anchovy and odd toppings. We felt like they were deliberately trying to stop us eating a lot by providing us with really strange pizza toppings. Also, the dishes kept taking ages (maybe 20 or 30 minutes between dishes). This was definitely annoying as we had come on an empty(ish) stomach so that we could really stuff our faces. I really hope Ice & Slice up their game during the promotional deals. I don't think I'll be bringing friends back here. Despite that, ordering online still is amazing and the potato, pesto, cheese and sausage is one of the best photos I've ever had!

In fact, I would have missed Amorino except for others in my group were not amused by a Pub with a namesake associated with a sensitive body piercing. Plus, they are gelato fanatics so this place pulled them in like a moth to flame. It is a clean, well-run shop with plenty of flavors available. The display case was quite appealing, especially the written descriptions of the flavors. There is always at least 1 lactose free option as well (on the day we were there, it was Chocolate Sorbetto) and they are very hip to give you test samples before you make a decision which is a very friendly touch in favor of the customer. While this might seem to be the norm, this shop is also in a high tourist-traffic area and I would imagine that putting up with idiots on vacation all day long might get old pretty quick. Nevertheless, they seemed very welcoming and happy to serve us which is always nice to experience as a consumer. I did not sample the goods since I was wasting my calories this trip on pub suds instead of gelato. But those in my group that did partake are somewhat authoritarian experts in the craft of frozen, dairy-based desserts. And they proclaimed it to be on par with typical European style gelato. Nothing more and nothing less and it scratched the itch of a palate in need of a gelato fix. It was not cheap but nothing in the UK is. If you are in the area and in the mood, I think you can't go wrong with a stop at Amorino for a taste of good-quality gelato.

I dig this place near Nottingham Hill!…read more Was walking past and decided to stop by. Massive amount of flavors available. You self order at a kiosk. Good food, vibes, and friendly employees. Recommend when in NH area of London.

Not the cheapest fro-yo in London, but absolutely delicious and the portions are quite large…read more It's located on the 3rd floor of Harrods (formerly on the 4th), and the day we were there it was quiet with very few people. The local is light and concemporary, match the brand. My friend and I both had the chocolate flavour and we loved it. Try it with coconut shavings, it's amazing.

Confession: I paid £7.95 for one serving of frozen yogurt today…read more When my friend and I were waiting for the express elevator at Harrods to take us up to the 4th floor she said, "Hopefully I'm making you go somewhere that fro yo costs £15." She did. Yoo Moo has a £14.80 choice that is garnished with 23 carat gold flakes. All of the sweet treat are named and I had the Spooky Moo. It was a huge bowl of pumpkin pie flavored frozen yogurt topped with chocolate buttons, popping candy, and a big gummy skeleton. The yogurt was sweeter than most I've had in the UK and lacked the tang you get at Frae (which I like). I am a pumpkin pie lover so I was excited about the flavor. My Spooky Moo was yummy, but the serving was too big for me. I ate it all because I paid so much and am still riding a bit of a sugar high. My friend had a vanilla and Belgian chocolate swirl with brownie bites on top and the chocolate yogurt was decadent. Very nice. Bottom line is that the price is a bit crazy and there isn't an "experience" to make up for it. When the waitress asked if my friend and I wanted a loyalty card we actually laughed.
