Also, the dishes kept taking ages (maybe 20 or 30 minutes between dishes). This was definitely annoying as we had come on an empty(ish) stomach so that we could really stuff our faces. Both were delicious and left us unbuckling our pants because we were so full! The decor is also very cute: there are cacti on the walls and a pink hue throughout the space. The display case was quite appealing, especially the written descriptions of the flavors. There is always at least 1 lactose free option as well (on the day we were there, it was Chocolate Sorbetto) and they are very hip to give you test samples before you make a decision which is a very friendly touch in favor of the customer. While this might seem to be the norm, this shop is also in a high tourist-traffic area and I would imagine that putting up with idiots on vacation all day long might get old pretty quick. Nevertheless, they seemed very welcoming and happy to serve us which is always nice to experience as a consumer. I did not sample the goods since I was wasting my calories this trip on pub suds instead of gelato. But those in my group that did partake are somewhat authoritarian experts in the craft of frozen, dairy-based desserts. And they proclaimed it to be on par with typical European style gelato. Nothing more and nothing less and it scratched the itch of a palate in need of a gelato fix. It was not cheap but nothing in the UK is. If you are in the area and in the mood, I think you can't go wrong with a stop at Amorino for a taste of good-quality gelato.

My Spooky Moo was yummy, but the serving was too big for me. I ate it all because I paid so much and am still riding a bit of a sugar high.
