This place is awesome! Love their coffee selections and gelato. I tried, for the first time, a waffled Italian-Hawaiian bread and my gelato was placed inside it. OMGoodness, divine! Loved it! Waffled Gelato Sammich!!! read more

Gelato Brothers - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Talbott, Tennessee

What the heck is this divine little gelato cafe doing in these tourist-free foothills of Appalachia? How did we get so lucky? After lugging my 19 month-old into town in near 90° heat only to discover that Jesus frowns upon serving ice cream on Sundays, then checking yelp for a miracle and finding one, driving 8 minutes down road, and turning into a yellowed strip mall that I had assumed sold items for contractors, I was skeptical. That is, until I saw the shining white storefront and pristine patio filled with blossoming planters. As I peeled my sweaty little one out of the car I heard music pumping out over the patio. "Oh dear lord God, please do not let it be Christian Rock. A woman can only stand so much monotonous music." I was pleased to discover that they were playing contemporary music, and shocked that I knew the words well enough to sing the hooks to the sprout. "How do I, as an aging punk rocker, even know these lyrics? This is not on rotation on NPR." While that remained a mystery, the cafe revealed numerous delights. The first thing I noticed as I walked inside was how polished, open, and clean the space was, both in front of the counter and beyond. The surfaces were all flat and easy to clean. The design of the shop was simplified while comfortable and inviting. The next thing I noticed made my heart sing. One of the signs of a super clean, and slightly OCD chef is an abundance of printed labels. This was present in the shop. Catchily phrased stickers on the edge of the tables indicated the presence of purse hooks. A sign on the single, gender neutral bathroom indicated that it was free to all as long as one at least sampled the Gelato (for free) first. My favorite label was on the tall highchair: #BabyBroChair. With so many indicators of a cleanly proprietor, I knew my belly and family would be safe from food born illness. But you are probably here to read about the gelato and coffee, am I right? We had the dark chocolate gelato, and raspberry sorbetto. Each came with a round waffle cone-esque cookie garnish. I was delighted with the taste, texture and dare I say crispness of both. As a citizen born abroad who has also lived walking distance from the gelato shops of the North End of Boston, my recommendation is not haphazard. The Gelato. It is. Delish. Perfect for a hot day. Maybe even perfect in the middle of a blizzard. My vanilla latte was what I hoped for but dared not expect. The beans and the barista were both strong performers. When I first arrived, there was only one young woman working the register and making food. As more people streamed in I got nervous, as at another local cafe, this would cause service to come to an abrupt halt. I did not want to wait 20 minutes for my laté, and I did not have to. She was a solid multi-tasker, barista, and communicator. She made our gelato cups while a waffle cooked for the customers in line ahead of us, then brought my late out within minutes, all while shuffling more and more customers and their orders at an efficient pace. There was nothing about this shop that did not impress me. We had a happy adventure and will return many times. What a wonderful addition to our culinary landscape! TL/DR: Restaurant clean. Food good. Coffee good. Staff quick. Open Sundays. Go now. read more

Still love Gelato Bros! I'm really picky about what I eat. I'm one of those organic only, finicky eaters and so are my kids. I won't eat fast food whatsoever and there are only a handful of restaurants I'll eat at. I really like this little cozy stop to grab dessert or coffee. read more

I just purchased two scoops of peanut butter cup gelato.. it came in the smallest cup and didn't even reach the top of cup. With 2 scoops of gelato cup weighed 3.2 ounces.. a scoop is literally 1.5 ounces. My husband got a waffle cone.. when he seen the tiny amount he asked for two scoops. $13 worth of gelato is the size of one Freddys or Baskin-Robbins single scoop.. I have never been disappointed with a frozen treat until tonight. The two stars is because It tasted great. I will not be returning, because even in Biden's America money doesn't grow on trees. read more

My husband was craving something sweet but also breakfast late in the afternoon. We were driving by and saw Gelato Brothers. We had looked at the menu in the past so we knew they had waffles. We had our dog with us so I stayed in the car with her while he went in. They let us know their patio was pet friendly and even offered us a 'pup cup' for her. Despite it being a very hot day, we were comfortable on the shaded patio. My husband got a waffle with fresh strawberries and vegan raspberry sorbet. He also got an iced coffee with almond milk. He loved both. I tried the sorbet and thought it was very refreshing. I especially love that they are vegan friendly, have WiFi and are open late (rare on this side of town). The staff were also very friendly! We will definitely be back! read more

To tell you the truth, its a little LAME. They've only got a few flavors of gelato and its just bought from the store, Not made in-house. It's called "Gelato Brothers," but there is nothing about it that says "brothers." It looks like it was decorated by someone's grandma! I don't know a guy who would be caught dead in here. Also I don't know why anyone would want to eat gelato on the parking lot of a junk store. Poorly thought out. Bad location. To top it off, some boys in there, who I think are related to the owner, were making fun of people shopping at the junk store, which I think is owned by the same people. How stupid is that! read more

A sad excuse for gelato, please don't take this place for true gelato. Way Overpriced, even for a little scoop.

They have great gelato and sorbetto options! Their cold brew coffee is pretty good! Haven't tried any espresso, but they have that as an option as well. The service is wonderful and we've always had a good experience here! read more

Best gelato ever. Seriously so good. I sampled the pumpkin spice and it was the best pumpkin spice I've ever had - in any form. My husband and I split the "Big Bro" which was 3 scoops of gelato, and we had: peanut butter, chocolate chip, and dark chocolate. We literally were fighting over the last bites. The owner is super great, too! read more

Outstanding coffee and service! The staff is so friendly and the decor is cool and current. The gelato is absolutely amazing and the different flavors with the waffle cone leaves me with a craving read more

Words cannot describe how much I LOVE this place! I had never tried gelato before coming here a few weeks ago. My mom swears by this place. The Mango and raspberry are my favorite and my moms is the salted caramel. I love how the place is set up and it's just so cute! I like how you guys have the tables set up to make people interact, wonderful idea!!! I'd love to work here but I'm afraid I'd eat all of the gelato haha. Anyways this is a GREAT local place! Thank you for opening this wonderful store!! read more

A good treat and nice atmosphere I had chocolate scoop and a peanut butter scoop was tasty c plenty of seats inside and out. Looks as if they gave a stage for entertainment None was on the evening we attended. Just good frozen treat. read more

So fantastic! My friend and I shared a "brogato" (I think that's how you say it)... 2 scoops of gelato with an expresso shot poured over it! AMAZING! Definitely recommend everyone to at least try it! I know I will be going back for sure... My kids loved the free samples too. Fabulous employees! read more

We visited last night, for the first time, and everything was amazing. My favorite flavor of the evening was the Blackberry Sorbetto. The inside could use a bit more seating because they were busy (which is a good thing), so cards on the tabletops encourage you to share tables with strangers to make new friends. I also enjoyed having the option to charge my phone with outlets next to some of the tables providing charging cables. The decor is bright and inviting, very friendly staff. I'm looking forward to visiting again to try their coffee and different flavors of gelato. We will be back soon! read more

What a cute little gelato shop with delicious gelato! The waffle cones are definitely homemade and delicious. I like the decor and thought it was fun and fresh. About a dozen or so flavors of gelato and they allow you to have a sample before choosing. I had the lemon in a waffle cone and it was so yummy. Will definitely go back. read more

I was never really interested in Gelato until I visited Gelato Brothers! I was excited for something new in the area and had to give it a shot! I live in Dandridge and I will be making the drive for this delicious Gelato as often as I can! I love how the Gelato has no artificial ingredients. Their waffles, cones and medallions are delicious!! My favorite Gelato so far is the Sea Salt Caramel, the taste is amazing and I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious chocolate caramel pieces...they are the real deal, no waxy fake chocolate at Gelato Brothers! Also had a chance to try a cappuccino and it was perfect! So excited for a local business with good specialty coffee drinks!!! The employees were helpful and friendly! read more

Gelato was great. Try the Pistachio! Staff was super friendly and courteous. My wife and I had a great time.

I'm glad we were only visiting because this place was pretty addictive--I might gain 10 pounds if I had this option all the time!! The gelato was great and for those that had a dairy issue, the sorbetto was really delicious as well. The warm fresh waffles were an extra bonus. (And who doesn't love new Tele and whip cream all over your waffle and gelato?!?) read more

The place seems pretty unsanitary. The workers are making the signature "medallions" without gloves. One the workers finish cleaning, they don't wash their hands afterwards. The gelato does tastes good, but it is overpriced for the quantity of gelato. Despite this, Gelato Brothers does succeed in friendliness and hospitality. read more

wow i am honestly appalled at how terrible my experience was at gelato brothers. my wife heard about this "desert bar" from a liked post on facebook and thought it looked intriguing from the well decorated waffles and such so she drug me along to check it out. we pulled up to a run down thrift store and gravel parking which just made my whole attitude towards this place go down from there. the atmosphere was completely filthy with dried chocolate all over a number of the patio tables and an unorganized structure on the patio. the employee seemed like she wasn't well trained and did not greet us or really acknowledge us once we came in. not to mention the extremely loud, annoying music was blaring once we entered. the menu was very limited and didn't provide very many details to what they had. the scoops were very small and overpriced and the waffle that we ordered tasted like it wasn't fully cooked. this business seems like it is not in good hands and is not being managed properly. as a manager of a business I know how a business should be ran properly and this is definitely not the way. I will not be visiting this poorly ran place ever again and neither will my friends that I have reported my experience to. not worth your money or time. read more

great place quality food but the waffles aren't the best it's a great place to take pictures though

Fantastic ice cream and fantastic service. What a cute place! Would come back here again next time I am in town.

Don't waste your money. For $1 extra you will get a stale Waffle cone and they are not kidding when they say "Baby Scoop" which will set you back $2.25 per scoop. I wanted to say "where is the ice cream"?????? Never again read more
