I went with the mint chocolate chip gelato sandwich dipped in chocolate with chocolate chips. It was delicious! While it wasn't made in front of me and freshly scooped, it was still great. They had a variety of options premade and I'm not sure if you can customize it. The staff was friendly and we were in and out of there pretty quick. As someone who honestly can't tell the difference between *authentic* gelato and non authentic, I'm just here to tell you this gelato is good. It was smooth, creamy, and had a great taste. The store was clean and well maintained with a case full of goodies that I wanted to try, but we stuck to just normal gelato. The staff was patient as we had four kids that wanted to try a few samples before they fully committed. The sizes were average, not too much but I don't feel like we overpaid for what we received. This place is exceptional! When it comes to gelato (and honestly any dessert spot), I'm always looking at texture, flavor, ambiance, and the staff, and they nailed it on all four. Five stars all around. The first time we actually tried their gelato, we had ordered through one of the delivery apps and accidentally received the wrong item. We went into the shop the next day and the staff immediately fixed it, no questions asked and no charge. That level of service really stood out to us. I've had plenty of situations where restaurants say it's the app's fault and won't help, so it says a lot about the character of this place. We ordered two one scoop gelato cups. Staff was very kind to let us sample different flavors to help us make our choice. We opted for one one oreo and one hazelnut. Not a flavor you got to have over here in the states very often, but it tasted just like in Italy and Spain. I love Gelato&Co and after patronizing it many times when regularly walking along Atlantic Avenue, it has become one of my favorite dessert spots thanks to its outstanding gelato, top notch service, and welcoming atmosphere! Right off of the bat, Gelato&Co's atmosphere impresses even from the outside, thanks to how well manicured it looks and its outside seating area, with a few four-top tables accented by whimsical looking white umbrellas. Inside is no different, thanks to bright lighting, particularly centered over the gelato counter on the right side of the establishment upon entry, as well as on the booths to the left. There are whimsical looking fixtures, making the shop a treat for the eyes in addition to the tastebuds. In addition to the bright and whimsical atmosphere, Gelato&Co is well-kept and immaculate too! The star attraction, being the gelato and sorbets, are outstanding! Which flavor I get depends on my mood, but I have had the pleasure of trying many of them. While simple, the Chocolate Gelato here is outstanding, thanks to its silky, light, and creamy base accented by rich, sweet, and bold notes of semi-sweet chocolate. Coconut is another recent favorite, again with a silky, light, and creamy base that has a fruity and refreshing flavor accented by small flakes of coconut! Stracciatella is another standout, thanks to a sweet and creamy base accented by sweet and bold chocolate fragments. Bold and creamy Coffee Gelato is another favorite of mine! Tart, sweet, and fruity Strawberry Gelato is another winner! A surprising sorbet flavor was Limoncello, which was tangy, refreshing, and only a tad sweet, making it a perfect light treat on hot Florida days! Vanilla, which is mild and creamy in flavor, is outstanding and on occasions when I take my dog, she always appreciates a generous sample spoon of Gelato&Co's Vanilla Gelato. If the quality gelato isn't enough, another bonus would be that the portions are on the generous side, with the employees packing the cups generously. At about $7 in change for two scoops, the price is more than fair given the quality and portion size. Lastly, I must mention the service, which is outstanding! I feel this way from the moment I first interacted with Boris (I believe he is a Manager/PR Person?) on social media in a local business group, as I had seen Gelato&Co get multiple shout-outs (and deservedly so!) and when I inquired about whether his gelato had eggs since I have egg allergies and some gelatos have eggs, Boris answered back and proved to be polite, patient, and professional. The top-notch service only extends into the store, with the staff proving to be warm, engaging, and professional, adding to every visit! Shout-outs to Sandy, Adrian, Saul, Boris, and anyone who I did not mention! You guys are awesome! With outstanding gelato, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service, it is no wonder Gelato&Co has quickly become one of my favorite dessert spots in beautiful Downtown Delray! While strolling down the strip in Delray Beach we went inside this beachy Gelato shop. The place was very busy and had a few tables inside and four tables on the outside patio. There were many flavors of gelato but had to try the Reeces Peanut Butter in the smallest cup for $5.90 and was very smooth and tasty. Very cute atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience itself didn't live up to expectations -- especially for a nearly $30 total for 3 people. I ordered a specific flavor and was given a different one. When I pointed it out, I was told I was wrong, and the gelato was not re-scooped or corrected. Being dismissed instead of helped was frustrating. They also only allow one sample per person. My friend wanted to choose between two flavors but was forced to decide after tasting just one, which made the experience feel rushed and inflexible. I came here twice already because I was actually surprised just how good the gelato was. The second time I was determined to try one of their bakery items, but I REALLY wanted gelato.
