State farm, while accepting liability for the car that plowed into the car behind me, says they are not liable for that car then hitting another car that ended up hitting my car. So they won't cover the damages to my car. No wonder insurance companies are so beloved here in America. Terrible company with policies being created a bunch of swindlers.

The insurance companies they use will send cancellation notices to DMV even when they draft your account electronically (so it's never late). They told DMV my policy was cancelled (it never was) and caused my license to be suspended. Having with them as an agent for YEARS meant absolutely nothing. I was told basically "tough luck." Do better. If you say you did something you should have documentation of such. Being dismissive of clients and their plight surely won't get you any customers. I'll also make sure the clients I referr md to you know how you treat a paying established loyal customer. 2 weeks later: after cancelling my insurance policies with this company I'm still being auto-drafted. I stood in their office signing paper after paper. I specifically asked of this was all I needed to do to cancel my policies with them. I still have the stack of documents. But I'm still being charged. I don't write negative reviews very often, if ever. They really suck. Take your money elsewhere.

During the 30 years, our home was insured by the Bradshaw Agency and then the Andrew Agency. Ryan responded by email 99% of the time. The mortgage company eliminated our escrow account in spring 2021. Called Ryan and requested that the upcoming October bill be addressed to our home. The result was several email exchanges over this simple request. The attempt to be proactive was not well received. Similar issues occurred in the fall. Our rates went up 20% in a single year without any clarifying conversation or communication. We had one minor claim more than 25 years ago. An email exchange informed us the cost of construction, specifically materials and labor was the culprit. When we chose to terminate the coverage with the Andrew Agency, there was no call to say what to expect or how the termination process works. Gmail sorts messages in sometimes weird ways. The first message went to a spam folder. Ryan's primary method of communication was by email. Our preference is to communicate by phone. Ryan's last email message was very rude. After 30 years under the same umbrella, we expected better. Our business was not valued by Ryan; perhaps because he acquired our business.

Progressive is not customer friendly. Tried to call twice tonight to add a new car to my existing…read morepolicy and pay them more money. They hung up on me twice as soon as they picked up the call. I assume the customer service staff have a metric for average call length, and hang ups lower their numbers maybe. That said, they offer great rates the first year you are with them. (On balance, the rates go up more each year thereafter than other companies I have dealt with.) Coverage is good, interactions after any accident (at fault or not, I had a teenaged daughter once) are professional and responsive. I stay with Progressive in five or six year blocks, til the rates get too high. Then I move on to another company for a few years and return. You have to have insurance, and Progressive is good -- for an insurance company.

Don't be fooled! Anthony told me due to my long tenure with State Farm in the past, I was eligible…read morefor special pricing, saving me $50/mo over my current carrier's pricing. What he did not share is he listed only me as the driver for 5 vehicles, and all the other drivers (kids and husband!) were listed as "permission to use" 1 day a month. I discovered this almost 2 years later while talking with his assistant. I was mislead, and would not trust this guy!

Anthony's office reached out to me about switching my policy a couple years back. I was impressed…read moreby them being proactive to get new clients and had heard great things about State Farm, so I made the switch. Unfortunately, things weren't quite as good as they appeared initially. Here are the reasons for the 2 star review: - The quoted policy amount and the final policy amount were ~$50 different (~10% on my 6 month auto policy). I attempted to call Anthony's office to understand why, but no one answered. I left a voicemail and sent an email, but never got a response. - When getting quoted for homeowners insurance, I wasn't comfortable with the insured value of the house. Maybe I like to be conservative and would prefer to be over-insured, but I thought it was shady that they were saying I would be covered and not to worry if it wasn't enough. Verbal promises come up empty too often in times of need. - I emailed them to swap out a vehicle soon after initiating the policy. They never did it, so I had to call the corporate office to change it. If I didn't pay attention I might not have been covered. - I submitted another vehicle change (online this time) last month after purchasing a new vehicle. I just checked my account one month later and it was never processed. I called the corporate office, so I wouldn't risk not being insured and they had no idea why the Anthony's office didn't process the change. - the reason for the 2nd star - it's still State Farm which is a good company. The agents I talk with at the corporate office are very helpful and friendly. After the most recent issue, I requested to be moved to a new State Farm office. You don't need to do much as my insurance agent, but you need to be reliable on the occasion I might need you.
