As someone who has Geico for 10-12yrs of the past 20yrs, having never needed their Services or to File a Claim, I was unaware how bad Geico is.and would Give Geico a Zero Star Rating if Possible. Geico sent an Adjuster to View my Vehicle after a Shop Damaged the Vehicle. The Adjuster was Under the Influence of Narcotics when he showed up, appearing as if he had hayfever, clearly under the Influence of Marijuana. After leaving him to Inspect the Vehicle, I spoke with him before he Left. After Explaining to him the Vehicle had been damaged by a Repair Shop, Replacing a Starter which had Failed. They then Denied Responsibility, Refused to Repair the Vehicle, so I had to take the Vehicle Elsewhere.. Long story Short, after 5 Mechanical Break Downs, 6 Different Shops and 8 Inspections/Repairs, the Dealer Deemed it Totaled. Geico Refused to Cover it, because the Adjuster Wrote in the Claim, that it was 'Mechanical Failure', that the Claim had been Filed because of the "Failed Starter"..... The Vehicle was Damaged due to 'Reverse Polarity', according to the 2nd Repair Shop. Geico Refused to File the Claim Correctly, Refused to Honor the Claim... A Supervisor initally said "He filed the Claim Wrong, we will have to Send another Adjuster out to Refile the Claim" , then I relayed the fact that he was High when he showed up, keep in Mind he was an Adjuster for an Automobile Insurance Company, in a Company Vehicle, Driving High. Then Geico began attacking me, barring me access to my Online Account to Print Documents, Refused to File the Claim Correctly, Refused to appoint me Counsel. They did do me a few solids... 1st the Representative after the Pot Smoker, was Chrystal.. That was Sweet. Then the Next Claims Agent I spoke with was Mary, which was also 'Dope'. I mean, short of Poppy, I think I had all the Drug Names Available? Then upon Suing the Responsible Party, which Geico Refused to appoint Counsel, the Adjuster Appeared in Court, which he was High while in Court. He was smiling with the Attorney, which there is anyone who has seen someone High will know what a Marijuana Smoker looks like while High.. Geico Still Refuses to Pay for the Claim, nor make Reparations for the Loss, not just of the Vehicle, but also the Loss of Use, which the Vehicle was covered by Business Coverage, which would provide me "Loss of Use Coverage", because it was a Business Vehicle.. Which the Vehicle was In/Out of the Shop for the Year, Leading up to Court, then Later up until the Court Case was Complete...... Geico is the Worst Insurance in the World, with out question... Check with Shops that Repair Vehicles, Geico rarely pays Claims, they Require the Deductible to be Paid out of Pocket, even though the Policy States it is to waived.. Geico often will not pay to Repair the Vehicle with OEM or Quality Parts, leaving Customers with a Bill, for the Repairs, to add accident to Injury. Their Adjusters Undervalue Claims, so they don't have to Pay the Cost of Financial Losses. Geico also Lied about Coverages, saying that "Geico does not Cover Repair Shop Damages".... Even though it was in the Policy along with "Garages, Valet Services, Car Lots/Dealers, and Repair or Service Shops".... There are countless Lawsuits against Geico, but Reading ''Google Scholar', it should be noted that Claims against Geico seem to disappear and only one or two remain.. Geico then Filed multiple Roadside Assistance Claims as Insurance Claims, causing my Insurance to Double.. Which had they done so correctly, the Claim would have Reported the Shop Damaging the Vehicle and then all the Roadside Claims as the Same Claim, which they would have had to Collect for.. Which Geico did, so my Insurance would Increase and their Premiums would go up, in addition to making their Coverage appear Cheaper vs other Insurance Providers... Geico did or does this Intentionally... They also Filed a Glass Claim, because I called requesting information about Glass, which I had moved from a State, where Glass Deductables were waived and Glass Replacement was Free.. As it is determined by State, not sure why? Though my Deductable was more than the Glass Replacement, so no reason to File a Claim it would only cause Increase of Premiums, right? Well Geico Filed a Claim, without Request and without Authorization, again so that Premiums would Increase... Do not use Geico Insurance.. Drive Uninsured instead.. Save yourself the Money, because if you are in an Accident, they will not Cover your Vehicle and you will be Left Paying for the Loss of Vehicle, Loss of Use, while Geico will do nothing but cause your Insurance to Increase, with any Question you ask them or if you ever need their Services... read more

Negative 18,000 stars. *PS: I apologize for the "sidebars" this review may take... understand that I am VERY upset at the lack of customer service I received not too long ago. **PPS: This review is dedicated to the current supervisor in charge right now, Jennifer. Apparently, as per her, there are NO other supervisors to speak with right now EXCEPT her and she, at best, is straight up "ineffective" and cannot help me with my concerns about my account. (aka: I'm being nice/PG right now, for the sake of Yelp standards lol). First of all.... lies--Geico is a REGIONAL company hun and is not bound to the confines of your cubicle, so I know there are other supervisors whom myself and others who call today can speak with--YOU just want your ego stroked. By telling customers you are "the only one in charge" and "there is no one else we can speak with about anything"---especially when you are essentially useless---only makes the company look bad.... I digress. For those who do not know, it is totally ILLEGAL for someone and/or an entity (i.e. a company, in this case GEICO) to re-submit a payment and/or take $$ from your account without your prior consent--EVEN IF it is an automatic bill pay (folks, know your rights!) Simply put: Once you authorize money to be taken out on a specific day, it has to be done ON THAT DAY. Not the day before, or the day after. If for some reason the payment CANNOT be taken out on that day (i.e. no available funds, the company "forgot" to process the payment, etc) said company CANNOT decide to re-submit said payment for ANOTHER DAY--ESPECIALLY IF you have NOT received some type of PRIOR notice about this being done--via email, phone, smoke signal, etc. THIS IS ILLEGAL. YOU CAN PRESS CHARGES. And NO you do NOT have to give the company a "replacement" payment BEFORE they give you your money back! That's like saying, "Yes I KNOW you STOLE my money--but first, here: take this replacement money (and my dignity) for the money you stole so you can give me the original money you stole, back." ....Hmm. This is precisely what happened to me today. I informed the Geico supervisor Jennifer, who is currently working the call center RIGHT NOW (that's 12/30/17 11:30am EST, fyi) about my knowledge regarding this procedure and asked that my funds be returned to my bank account. I mean after all, Geico essentially stole my money, so it would be great if they could return it to me, right? Keep in mind that according to my bank (which I spoke with prior to calling Geico) my payment was NOT fully processed and IS STILL PENDING so therefore, my money is eligible to be returned to me. HOWEVER, Geico and this piece of work named Jennifer REFUSE to give me my money and are basically holding it hostage. And of course, because it takes a few business days for a bank to conduct an investigation, and conveniently there is a holiday on Monday: my money cannot be replaced today, my bills that scheduled to be processed in the meantime will bounce and I will essentially be screwed. Let me reiterate: To stop all of this from happening, THE ONLY THING GEICO HAS TO DO IS STOP THE PROCESS OF THE PAYMENT ON THEIR END. That's it. I even told this Jennifer person that I am willing to immediately cancel my contract in order to have them stop the payment process so they could refund me my money. SHE SAID NO. Yes, SHE told ME that I could NOT CANCEL MYYYY ACOUNT. The account that I pay for with MY paycheck. HOW THE !*@($& DO YOU TELL A CUSTOMER THEY CANT CANCEL THEIR ACCOUNT???? I have been a longtime customer of Geico, since I was about 16 (almost 2 decades). I've had countless cars insured--even had apartment insurance through them at one time. For the most part, their rates are decent for the NYC metropolitan area. Not to say I haven't had my share of problems with this company over the years. Because I definitely have: - When I was about 19, Geico applied my payments to the wrong account for about a year (it actually was identity theft--the person lived in Arizona.) Of course, I didn't find this out until I was pulled over... - And more recently: they made my monthly insurance costs exorbitant, after having a "fender bender" (that was not my fault) with a NYC-owned vehicle (the male driver apparently got mad that a female cut him off and rammed the city-owned truck into my car, while driving 50+ mph on the FDR....(!!) yup....but that is an entirely different review for a different day!) Even after agreeing to pay $200+ MORE each month... I still stuck by Geico. Crazy, I know. But sorry, as of today they are in the process of losing a loyal, longtime customer. A settlement offer was provided, but it was shockingly $7,000 less than what it should have been. 6 A month-long negotiation ensued, during which I fought tooth and nail to get the settlement offer within a $500 range of what I deserved. It was an exhausting process that should never have been so arduous. 7 Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, I went to retrieve my personal belongings from the vehicle at the auto shop, only to discover that Geico had sent it to a junkyard without informing me, even before we had settled the claim! 8 To add insult to injury, the junkyard was located an hour's drive away, and its operating hours coincided with my work hours. I was left without a car and had to navigate additional difficulties just to reclaim my belongings. 9 When I finally managed to retrieve my vehicle, I was devastated to find that it had been ransacked. Around $2,500 worth of camping gear and $300 worth of personal belongings were stolen, all under Geico's watch. 1 0 Despite Geico's mishandling of my claim, the premature disposal of my vehicle, and the subsequent theft of my belongings, I expected fair treatment and compensation for the stolen items. However, I have now been informed that Geico has denied my theft claim, leaving me empty-handed and further victimized by this entire ordeal. This level of incompetence, negligence, and disrespect for a loyal customer is absolutely unacceptable. I trusted Geico to handle my insurance needs with professionalism, but my experience has shattered that trust. During this epidemic GEICO has justified not providing roadside assistance to myself, a disabled man, and my disabled wife and left us stranded on the highway without any concern for our safety and well being. We had to pay out of pocket for the tow and GEICO has continuously allowed it's employees to discriminate and then claim that being disabled and having rights is only a feeling to justify violations of the Americans with disabilities Act conducted by GEICO employees by virtue of their position to show inhumane treat and bias towards disabled individuals during this epidemic and GEICO has refused to reimburse us for the tow we paid out of pocket which is financial exploitation and abuse of disabled americans and theft of finances . Financial exploitation" means the use of an eligible adult's resources by another to the disadvantage of that adult or the profit or advantage of a person other than that adult. "Eligible adult" means either an adult with disabilities aged 18 through 59 or a person aged 60 . "Deception" means a misrepresentation or concealment of material fact relating to the terms of a contract or agreement entered into with the elderly person or person with a disability or to the existing or pre-existing condition of any of the property involved in such contract or agreement; or the use or employment of any misrepresentation, false pretense or false promise in order to induce, encourage or solicit the elderly person or person with a disability to enter into a contract or agreement. The illegal use of the assets or resources of an elderly person or a person with a disability includes, but is not limited to, the misappropriation of those assets or resources by undue influence, breach of a fiduciary relationship, fraud, deception, extortion, or use of the assets or resources contrary to law. GEICO ALLOWED numerous employees to conduct "tortious interference with a contractual or business relationship, and defamation arising out of GEICO's refusal to reimburse me on my roadside assistance I had to pay out of pocket because GEICO refused roadside assistance and left my wife and I stranded on side of the road near without any care for our safety or well being. When try to obtain the reimbursement GEICO chose to use my disabilities to mistreat me after they mistreated my disable wife and I on 6/8/2020 when we requested our roadside assistance. GEICO engaged in systematic fraud by denying the Roadside assistance and allowing it's employees to financially exploit, abuse and mistreat disabled americans is services both covered under the applicable policies and under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The two key requirements for an act to be called a "disability hate crime" are that it is motivated in part or whole by prejudice against someone because of disability or something related to ones disability i.e. income/finances; and second, that the act is actually a crime which it is a crime to financially exploit a disabled individual which GEICO emergency roadside assistance did on the 8, June 2020 - present day and are justifying not reimbursement of those finances because GEICO feels there policies allow them to violate federal and US law in that exploitation they showed on the 06/08/2020 to justify not providing a service that was paid to receive which violates the Americans with Disabilities Act and GEICO continues to show prejudicial bias to those rights and protections under law making it a factual federal disability hate crime. Due to the debt GEICO caused us it is now going to interfere with our housing for not having the ability to pay our cost of living due to GEICO'S fradulent conduct and telling us being disabled and having rights are merely an opinion. Other federal and US laws prohibit GEICO'S rife and inhumane conduct since GEICO is depriving us of our rights in a concerted fashion by virtue of it's employees positions and are continuing justifying the exploitation and abuse and refusal if services in GEICO'S official capacity as a business and doing business in the Untied States. read more

Geico is nothing but just another big-time insurance company thieving after the next customer. They don't give a damn about you or me! I've had them as my insurer since April 1997. Yes, 12 years of paying dues! 2 weeks ago my girlfriend was leaving to Dubai for 3 months because of her work, so I'd taken her to her aunts house in Greenbelt. While heading to 495 or 95 -whatever you take to get back to DC, at the intersection of Kenilworth ave and Greenbelt Road, while sitting at a red light, we were smashed from behind! I get out the car, beautiful! A burgundi Ford Taurus had rear ended us. The driver a black 20 something male gets out and right off begins denying damage. I said, "okay, lets just call the police!" Then the female passenger gets out, begs and cries for me not to call the police. I ask them for their informaiton, "its at home!" So I take their tag down, a DC paper tag, and she pulls out a pen and piece of paper and scribles down some address and name, phone number. She then hands it to me. I said, "look how do I know this is you?" she says, "I live down the street, I'm sorry. Please don't call the cops. I gave you my info." So I wasn't born yesterday, I again begin calling the police. She runs back to the car and all the sudden goes to the trunk and pulls out her purse wth her license, but no insurance and no registration. By then I had the 911 operator. The couple get back into the car and haul the hell outta there! So an hour later, seriously! A Greenbelt officer arrives. He takes down the info, and supposedly she did live right down the street, But he said the tag wasn't pulling up so the car may have been stolen! Great! 3 hours later we get home, I call Geico and 2am I go to sleep! When I took my car the following saturday to the adjuster, he takes a look at it and goes inside to write it up. Now there's a big crack in my bumper, the plastic liners fallen off, and mind you this is a 2008 BMW M3 and I've been hit before, its not cheap! He comes back with a estimate for $655 -my $250= $405!! I said, "excuse me sir, but this bumper is smashed, this isn't even enough to paint it." Mr. Dooshbag says, "well you can just give that to the body shop as a deposit, and if there's anything additional they can call me, and we'll cover it!" So the next day I go to VOB where I bought the car, $3329 was the new bumper, labor, parts, and paint! When I told the guy at advisor at VOB, what happen he says, "Oh yeah, well you know that's what Geico does now! They lowball their repairs instead of paying their customers the full damage amount because they don't want people to take the money and not get their cars fixed!" Then he tells me, "OMG, you should see what we have to go through to get them to pay for parts! They actually go find stuff on ebay and call us and tell us to bid on it! So you end up with a $150 bumper made in China, not the BMW one made in Germany for $1500!" Now, excuse me! But aren't I or shouldn't I be the one to decide what I do with the money which I've paid you over 12 years and you're merely giving me back? And shouldn't my vehicle get the best German made parts? When you sent me a bill, did I say, "here's $20 and I'll send you the rest when you need to pay your employees?" I can't believe what shysters these guys are! OMG! When I heard this I was so livid I called the Geico people. The stupid customer service clerk tells me, "Calm down Mr.... we simply have this new claims payment method in effect to save you money on your insurance and keep your premium from going up due to fraud!" Well No, actually you are commiting fraud so your stupid company can get richer and your execs get fatter, as they rip off its customers by not paying them their claims and nickle and diming the bodyshops. My premium goes up because my lack of driving skills not because of somebody commiting insurance fraud!" What scam artists! These guys are the really Enron of the new Millenium! read more

Over the course of an absolutely agonizing experience, I was forced to speak with nine different representatives, each more unwilling and unhelpful than the last. What transpired is nothing short of a complete and utter failure of Geico's customer service. The most egregious encounter was with Supervisor Courtney (Employee ID: 12649), whose conduct was shockingly unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. Not only did she lack any semblance of courtesy, but her demeanor was condescending and outright hostile. Even my mechanic, who was present during our conversation, was appalled by her tone and referred to her as sounding "uneducated." This is not a subjective assessment--it was clear to anyone involved that this individual was utterly ill-equipped to handle even the most basic level of customer service, let alone hold a supervisory position. In addition to Supervisor Courtney's reprehensible behavior, the representatives I spoke with made false claims repeatedly, refused to provide any real assistance, and ultimately left me stranded without the support I had paid for as part of my insurance policy. Despite promises of callbacks and escalations, not a single representative followed through, further compounding the frustration and making it painfully clear that no one was interested in resolving my issue. This entire ordeal smacks of gross negligence and potential bad faith in Geico's handling of their contractual obligations. The treatment I endured is not just a matter of poor customer service; it raises serious concerns about Geico's adherence to the standards of good faith and fair dealing, as required by law in handling customer claims. The fact that I had to call repeatedly, only to be met with indifference and outright rudeness, is completely unacceptable. The way your company has mishandled this situation has not only caused extreme inconvenience but has also eroded any trust or confidence I once had in Geico as a service provider. I demand immediate rectification of this matter and a formal apology for the way I was treated. GEICO Insurance Company is absolutely the WORST insurance company I have ever had to deal with. They are causing me so much anguish, and have hassled me to the point of intimidation! I would like to give a ZERO! GEICO is a private American company, which is owned by BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY, and deals with varieties of insurance ranging from vehicle, property, business, and others. GEICO says, "they are committed to providing a hassle-free experience . . . . . and provide the best purchase experience to its customers." This has certainly NOT been my experience! Todd Anthony Combs is the CEO of GEICO. I am hoping he may step in and help with this situation, since none of his staff are capable of resolving it. If Mr. Combs is not available, perhaps Warren Buffet himself can resolve this problem. I have an umbrella insurance policy with GEICO. On Thursday, March 3, 2022, I received an email from GEICO saying my premium was due IMMEDIATELY. I called the Umbrella Division at GEICO. I was told the email was wrong (perhaps SPAM) and to ignore the email. My umbrella insurance premium was not due until May 22, 2022. The next day on Friday, March 4, 2022, I received a letter from GEICO demanding payment of a premium on my umbrella insurance policy. AGAIN, I called GEICO. And AGAIN, I was told that my umbrella premium IS NOT DUE until May 2022, and to ignore the letter. My umbrella policy is active and up-to-date. The following day, on Saturday, March 5, 2002, at 1:09 pm, I received a phone call from someone called DAVID demanding I pay the premium on the umbrella policy. "What the heck is going on with GEICO, and how am I supposed to trust GEICO or him?" DAVID told me AGAIN that the premium was due and that "I MUST BE CONFUSED." How about DAVID being confused? I told DAVID that two of his colleagues had told me on the two prior consecutive days that the payment was not due. I told David to go back to the drawing board and call me Monday. DAVID said they were wrong, and he was right. Really? He told me to call GEICO and this time make sure I spoke with the Umbrella Department. How condescending. I actually called GEICO, yet again, on Saturday afternoon and spoke to Rischard (spl). I have my umbrella insurance policy in front of me. A payment of $xxx is not due until May 22, 2022. I suspect when DAVID calls me tomorrow (Monday, March 6, 2022) he will again be asking for an immediate payment on my umbrella policy that is not due until May. What I deserve is a huge apology from someone for all the angst GEICO has caused me!!! I have incurred problems with this policy for months surrounding the amount of the umbrella policy. Geico will not help you when you need them the most. We planned to rent a truck to move all of our belongings half way across the country. A week before our move I rented a truck and called Geico to make sure I was insured to drive the truck and did not have to buy additional insurance through the rental company. A Geico representative told me I was covered and did not have to buy additional insurance, so we were set. Unfortunately, we had an accident with the truck during the move. I immediately contacted Geico and filed a claim when I was told that everything would be covered and not to worry. Months go by and the bills come in from the accident. One by one Geico begins to refuse to pay the bills for any reason they can find. Geico uses loop holes in contracts to justify not paying for this or that and it is a second job talking to all these people to get Geico to pay what they are supposed to pay. They make getting a claim paid out extremely hard and do their best not to pay what they rightfully should! I had the unfortunate realization that Geioc employees get bonuses for not paying out claims and they do their best not to pay the claims that they are supposed to. They continue to not pay for some of the damages and are trying to stick me with a hefty bill ($1,000s of dollars in damages!)! This is not right. Geico has told me before and after the accident that I am covered but when it's time to pay the bills they are anything but helpful and responsible. I continue to have to call Geico, and the other parties involved, trying to get this resolved but to no end. My family and I have paid Geico thousands of dollars for insurance over the years and we would have been better off paying them nothing so we can cover the expenses ourselves. They make paying a claim as big a hassle on purpose so you give up and they don't have to fulfil their end of the insurance contract, to pay the bills for an accident that you are supposedly "covered" on. Geico is only concerned about making a profit and not helping its customers, especially when they need it the most. Geico is a poor excuse for an insurance company and continues to make a large profit off of people who believe they have a piece of mind from an insurance company when in fact they are being scammed by a large corporation. read more

I spoke to someone by the name of Isha B. on the 5th of march. She insisted that i sign up for the automic pay, so that my insurance would stay at the rate of 198 in stead of $204. I declined her offer several times, because the card wasnt my card. She then sent me a new payment plan of $204 and instructed me to call back in 10 days to keep the payment at $198. HER MISTAKE WAS SHE SIGNED ME UP ANYWAY!! This month, which is april, i made my payment on the 7th. About a day or two pass and im receiving over draft fees, because of an automatic payment which was not AUTHORIZED!! So, i called immediately called to resolve the issue. I spoke to a male employee and He gave me false information. I made a double payment due to an error geico made and signed me up for automatic payment in which I declined several times since the month of march, because the card that I used last month belonged to my boyfriend. He told me he would refund it back to his card, which was a lie, because the policy was told to me after the fact that they wouild refund it back to the last card in which it was paid. All the while waiting for a response I accrued a debt of $174 in overages on someone else's card. FACT 1: if the card was not set up for automatic payment by geico, i wouldnt have to pay $174 FACT 2: If the money was put back on the card in which it wasnt suppose to come off of there would be no fees So i called today 4/16/2016, Geico insisted that is was my fault and i asked for them to listen to the recordings in which I declined the payment to be taken out automatically and I was told that I would have to get a subpoena from the courts. Smh "So in other words we dont value our customers, we just value your money" And thats bad for business.. Was looking for car insurance; LOVED GEICO 10 YEARS AGO!! Now... not only did the insurance agent flat out lie about who does and doesn't need to be placed on my policy (obviously up-selling) but apparently GEICO has now decided that they are only going to insure NO RISK DRIVERS, as if anyone knows what that means. As soon as the agent labeled me a DRIVER AT RISK, HE HUNG UP ON ME! If I wasn't offended yet, I was by that point. I have had one ticket, my entire life over 5 years ago; and never been in an accident or needed to file a claim. MODEL CITIZEN HERE. They told me to "call again in 6 months" when I was less of a "risk". I called progressive; and guess what? Got a bang up deal on 2 vehicles and even added renters insurance at $9 a month! Who could pass that up, right? If you are looking for an insurance company that will stand by your side during the bad and good times, PROGRESSIVE is your place! Also, notice that GEICO closed their Google+ page, because people were starting to leave 1 star reviews; just an observation. Looks like an employee typed in ONE 5 star review, the same date the Google+ page was shutdown. It is now listed as "permanently out of business" when it should be listed as "we just don't want you to know that people hate our company and why by reading our awful reviews" For those of you that are thrilled with the company, good for you, I was there once myself, but apparently a ticket 5 years ago makes me a "risk" and they refuse to insure me; btw, the ticket was for going 5 miles over the speed limit; FIVE MILES! I would have fought it, but I had just moved to a different state, so, I just sent them the payment. At this point, I'm glad I got the ticket; we don't live in a perfect world, and companies that act like your friend (LIKE PROGRESSIVE) beats companies that act like you're just a dollar sign. read more

I am jus very concerned for the future of the integrity of this insurance company. One of your clients sped up and hit me in the back and ran off on to the interstate. I literally had to chase her down to get her tag number. The entire time of the chase I'm literally on the phone with the police. I got her tag number but she got away before the police could catch up to us. I spoke with my lawyer a week later and he informed me that GEICO is only accepting 50% liability bc the client, Brittany Nicole Beard, lied and told them that I stopped my car in the middle of the road, backed up and hit her car. she was scared so she locked her doors and drove away in a high speed chase on I-77. Yet you were so worried but never called 911 didn't even report the accident. Finally spoke with the adjuster Shanna Maranda and she tells me that her clients vehicle didn't have any damages no paint from my car, nothing. Which is strange bc the police officer I was working on the case with contacted me 2 days ago to inform me that they found the runaway. Took pictures of the car and she has my paint and damage to her car. She even ordered a part for the car trying to cover it up! So somebody's lying. I would never trust GEICO. They don't even want to get me a rental to get my car fixed. Where is the integrity? Where's the honesty? It's been since Jan 14th. Why am I still stressing with this! My body still hurts but you all sleep pretty good at night! I sent y'all an updated F10 and it shows now who's at fault. She's dodging the police they knocked on her door for hours. Would never answer the door. Does that sound like someone that feared for their life? Or a drunk driver trying to get away with a hit and run?! Geico is so dishonest I cant believe they havent been shut down. I am dissapointed in myself for not seeing it sooner. I am seeing these other reviews of people being lied to and over charged in some ridiculous scam, and am wondering how many class action lawsuits there have been against them. They have been overcharging me for atleast 5 out of the 17 years I've been with them! They kept upping my premiums even though I have never had an accident, have a perfect driving record, have never made a claim and this is the case for my 36 years of driving! They blamed the increases on Washington state law, and even though I would argue with them they would never give in. Well this time I finally called another insurance company, actually 3 others, and they all said I was lied to. They all quoted me far less than Geico. Geico had sent me a bill on Dec.23rd telling me that my insurance would be cancelled Jan. 3rd. I got the letter Jan. 7th. I was on automatic payment every 6 months and my credit card had changed during those 6 months, so they couldn't withdraw the funds. When I called on the 7th they told me that because my insurance was cancelled and according to Washington state law they would be upping my premiums again because of tin lapse of coverage and raised it another 20%! Well it's a lie. All the other companies said they would never do that unless the lapse were atleast 30 days, and considering the timing of their holiday letter, vacations happen, they would have just re-instated. I switched to Allstate and am paying 30% less. 17 years with a company and they treat you like this.These creeps have been stealing money from me since 2000 and getting away with it. read more

My experience with Geico has been nothing but a fiasco. Claim filed 01/06/19, it is now 04/12/19 with no claim settlement in sight. I filed a complaint with my state insurance commissioner which led nowhere except to have a charming conversation with a claims adjuster manager "Dale" that reiterated his corporation's stance and began strongarm tactics to get me to close my claim out or risk having it cancelled due to "lack of interest". The vehicle was undervalued and the parts and labor for the few months prior were compensated at less than 10% of the original cost. $3000 of repairs were compensated at a pittance with less than 5k miles and 3 months between the accident and the work being completed for a replacement timing chain, clutch, water pump, and oil pump. These are not cosmetic or minor function parts... These are critical wear items whose replacement allowed my vehicle to be roadworthy for the foreseeable future. Doesn't matter to Geico! They have an "algorithm", dontchaknow?! I never expected to receive 100% of my parts and labor, but I did expect to receive just compensation for a critical transportation loss. We aren't even close! Between the undervaluing of my vehicle and the outright theft of virtually brand new parts, a fair estimate is that I'm in the hole about $2,000. Buyer beware! Their insurance seems great until you get to the nitty gritty of trying to extract your hard earned dollars from your lost transportation investment. Go somewhere... ANYWHERE... else for insurance! I was checking my emails today and I had an email from Geico alerting me to a Lapse in Policy. I was surprised by this because I had already recently paid the policy in August. However, it said I was short $28 I went to pay the policy and was told on-line it was canceled over $28 I went to re-instate the policy and found it had increased by $600 yearly (rounded) because Geico claimed I had not paid the complete premium. I of course offered to pay the premium and "Hope" the friendly Geico agent said there was nothing she could do about the increase. I checked other carriers and found Geico had put false information on my driving record raising the premiums available with other carriers. Since I cannot drive without insurance (Required in Massachusetts) I restarted the policy at the higher premium but believe Geico has cheated me. If I had received a call to notify me in advance of the billing error I am sure I would have paid in full. Honestly I cannot believe Geico would treat its customers (long term customer) this way all the time saying there is nothing we can do. Terrible just terrible. I believe that Geico's billing system may have created the error in the first place and thus caused the lapse in billing.
