I love the revival of the 1980s video arcade. The price is right, a reasonable entrance fee gets you unlimited playing. It's spread around a bunch of different rooms and the 1980s video arcade experience was largely an antisocial behavior. We didn't go to make friends, ("not even!"), we went to spend time by ourselves away from "Yuppies," and the stresses of a lengthy recession anchored by de-industrialization and a consequent depressed labor market. I could stretch a quarter on Galaga into an hour and enter my initials over who ever the ass was that entered ASS. They have a great pinball machine collection, so you might want to dig up your Walkman and make a mix-tape that includes the Who. Surprisingly or maybe not so surprisingly, i-Gen youngsters seem to really enjoy playing with these historic devices ("Son, these are primitive computer games). Millennial might enjoy a visit here after puzzling over video game scenes from "Ozark," "The Way Way Back," "Terminator 2" or "Back to the Future 2." And isn't it interesting that the "Back to the Future" movies are now so old that you have to explain the technological context to anyone seeing it for the first time now? But as usual I digress. This is an interesting place to kill a couple of hours either by yourself or with friends but especially for a Boomer to bring an older grandchild or the son or daughter of a nephew or niece. I am embarrassingly inept at Fortnite but I am still the master of Centipede and for whatever reason this can impress the heck out of a 13 year old. If you bring a few children, they have a room with a science fiction movie cued up so you can sit and watch while the more energetic generation peters out. read more

Absolutely the greatest arcade in all of Wisconsin. Clean and safe environment. Friendly helpful staff. Most games were working 100%, with one or two having very minor issues. One pinball had a flipper on upper playfield sticking a little bit for instance. Really impressed that games 40 years old were working so consistently. Pinball selection is unmatched. From brand new games like Wizard of Oz and Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit to classics like Mid-evil Madness and Big Guns and Cyclone. Will be back many more times. read more

What a great place!! If you are into pinball, you gotta go. 15 bucks to enter and it's all you can play. Bit steep unless you have a little time to kill, but they have new games like the Munsters and Black Knight which are a buck a play so it doesn't take long to break even. Other modern titles include the new Batman, Metallica, Ghostbusters, Hobbit. Plus pristine versions of Mars Attacks, Adams Family, Star Trek Next Generation. read more

YAY!: -Selection of amazing old school video games, check. -Play all day and as much as you want for only $15, check, well worth it, this alone makes this place well worth the visit. -Pinball room stocked with amazing old and new pinball games, check -Open till midnight, check, thats awesome -Pinball challenge where you can win a free day if you beat an employee, check two in our group actually won free days and they weren't even good pinball player. -Plenty of awesome parking BOOOOOO!: -Over all layout could use some work, the space is not being properly used. -No beverages or a decent snack selection. If the pool area was better cleaned and maintained this could be a better beverage area if they mean to keep beverages and snacks away from games. -Only one bathroom and it is tiny -Pool/movie screen area is filthy and could use an upgrade to be more party, friendly -WAY to many non functioning games left out on the floor. The space could be better used. -Ski ball games should be coin/token fed and distribute tickets for prizes, they are entirely boring otherwise. -Needs more tables and sitting areas. this place could be pizza/birthday party central if it were just a bit more easy for groups. -Needs to be more challenging and involved. There should be score challenges on EVERY game with prizes and incentives for customers to be more involved. You could sync a simple worpress phone app (those are FREE now FYI) and maintain a user screen score capture leader board and notifications for records and record breakers. Make it fun, get people involved. Technology yo. When i was a kid my local arcade (this was the 80's) would have endurance challenges, score challenges, t-shirt give-aways almost twice a week to keep kids coming in. These are games, people need to feel more of a challenge than just playing them all grouped in one space. -Some of the coin override systems on the video games are a weeeee bit dangerous or do not work at all. Exposed wires and coin over rides that do not work are a real downer. -WIPE DOWNS, for christs sake!!! Someone needs to be going around with some sani-spray and a towel to give these games and their seats a wipe down every few hours. There is some serious hand and butt funk on these games at 9pm. I highly advise bringing wet wipes with you regardless. These games are being played a lot by a lot of different people. read more

We've gone back with the family and as long you can stay for a while (2-3+ hrs), it's worth it. You can leave and come back as long as you have a wristband for that day. DDR and air hockey are our family favorites. Coat racks are available in the pinball room (door closest to entering from the desk) and by the MarioKart game in the next room around the desk, to the right. read more

Geeks Mania is a rarity these days. The fad of arcade gaming has long since passed in the United States and it's bizarre museums like this that keep these classic games from ending up in collector's basements or worse, landfills. Geek's Mania costs $15 dollars for a day pass (no quarters are used here except for the pinball machines) which may seem pretty steep, but games were designed with a steep difficulty to steal all the pocket change they could. The pro is that you can play all the games you want and complete them without fear of death or depleting quarters. The con is if you just wanted to play a few rounds a Galaga, you'll have to shell out $15 even if you only planned on spending $2. Geeks Mania is a good time. It has an interesting selection and the no-coin system is great for both novices and masters looking to hone their skills. The only issue I found with the place was playing so long my hand cramped. read more

Wasn't a hit for me and my 10 and 12 year olds. They (and I) mainly play modern titles on PC and console and these old games (many in rough shape and barely playable) just haven't aged well. Thought I would be nostalgic for the games I played at Aladdin's Castle back in the 80s and 90s .... but did not get that vibe in this stuffy, dark old place. There was a cool pinball room with machines in good shape (some newish too), but couldn't get the kids into pinball ..... and I am only a casual fan of it. We were in and out in less than an hour. Cool concept in theory, but just didn't do it for us. read more

This is a great place to spend about $20 relatively quickly. I'm a pinball fan and the cost per play could be anywhere between $.50 to $1.00 - i did spend $1.00 on Game Of Thrones pin ball which was fantastic for it's play time. I was behind the machine for about 15 minutes. The video games are growing and there are some folks who are in awe at being able to play XMen again or even shooting games. You can even watch TV there, they had a Star Wars animated show on and Twitch TV. There's even tables to bringing in your board or card games. Although, personally speaking, this is really a secondary because I fell more inclined to go to the store down the street for that kind of stuff. This is really for those electronic games and pinball. I like it, but again, would only go to get my pinball on. read more

Really nice selection of pinball, and everything we played was well maintained. I think they only had one modern Stern (Walking dead) but several classics such as Twilight Zone, the Adams Family, Funhouse, World Cup Soccer, Pinbot, Bride of Pinbot... So I'd say 5 stars for the pinball! I'd never played World Cup Soccer before, but it's a pretty great game. Probably a dozen pinball machines overall. Video games - they've got a huge selection, but most of them are ones you've never heard of or the ones that when you saw them when you were a kid you didn't even want to play them because you knew they weren't going to be that great. I kicked my kid's ass in Galaxian and Tetris (oh, the 100's of hours I've played Tetris) which was nice, and they must reset the high scores fairly often because we both got to enter our initials. So, a generous 3 stars for the video games to average things out to 4. With more pinball down the road at Schwoegler's, the west side is becoming pretty nice for playing pinball! read more

Seriously this place has made my day. I got to play some of my favorite classic arcade games as well as I stumbled in on their Street Fighter 5 Tournament. They had anime playing on a big screen and netflix on another big screen. Highly recommend for everyone. :-D read more

I am a big fan of this arcade! It has become a regular stop on the weekend. The staff is friendly and they keep adding new games. We also used their table top space for our rpg group. Pinball machines are the best part of being there. They can be a bit hard to find but once you do it is worth it! As a 40 something it has been fun to take my teenage and adult kids here to experience a bit of what my childhood was like. read more

Geek Mania has been here for a while now and I really enjoy going there to play unlimited arcade games. It's great for a date, blowing off some stress from work, having fun with friends, and/or even solo fun time. If you enjoy playing arcade games, I highly recommend it. I would give them 5 stars if some of their games weren't so broken sometimes. Other then that, $15 for the entrance fee is a great deal for all you can play. If you want to, you can go in to play when they open, take a break to go grab lunch somewhere nearby and then come back and you'll get back in free as long as you have your wristband on the same day you bought it. read more

You definitely, absolutely get your money's worth here. I'm not a huge gamer (a barely used PS2 sits at home), but I found enough nostalgia and new favorites to lose track of time and inadvertently spend 3 hours here. Even when some machines are down for repairs, there are plenty of others to keep you occupied. Amazing arcade. You pay for all day entry so you don't need any quarters for any of the games and you can come and go as you please. There's a large variety of games from old to new allowing for hours of fun with friends. The employees are layed back and are able to fix and repair the games if and when there is a problem. They have snacks and drinks if needed for purchase but not many areas to just sit and relax. There is a water fountain there as well so you don't necessarily need to spend more on a drink if you're thirsty. Over all it's a great time and is one of my go to hangouts with my friends. Also the 8-bit and marvel wall paintings are amazing, along with the other cool nerdy wall decorations. Very fun and chill atmosphere. read more

This place is super cool and I love all the classic games. However, most people aren't coming to play all day, and $15/person seems like a bad plan for engaging players! The ownership should have a scaled pricing rate for how long you want to stay, or the number of games you want to play, or something...my husband and I have wanted to go many times, but $30 for an hour of fun is a lot. Only thing that would make this better is if they served beer! Super fun old school arcade games, tons of pinball. They could stand to get some better ventilation though - every time I've been here it's hotter than hell in there. So don't go wearing a sweater. Definitely worth the sweat though - place rocks. EDIT: They've recently made a huge change. No more are the 25 - 50 cent machines. Now you pay 15 dollarydoos for unlimited play. For some, this is great - especially people with young children that could go all day on these machines. However to me, it has made me not visit nearly as frequently. I understand they need to start raking in some real money, but I enjoyed stopping by after work and pumping a few bucks into the machines for an hour or so before I went home. Now I have to make it a planned event to go there, and even still I never feel like I've gotten my money's worth. There's an option to go later in the night at a discounted price, but it's still not really worth it for me. It also encourages groups of people to hog machines for hours at a time since there's no longer a need to pump in more quarters when you lose. I recommend you check it out at least once, but they really need to change their pricing. Dunno when I'll be back. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Yo, this place is sick. There was that pizza joint in Monona that had an arcade, which was pretty novel, but this place blows it out of the water. There's a HUGE selection of cabinets to play on, and the vast majority are the real quality ones. You'll find all the staples, like House of the Dead, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, X-men, and the classics like Galaga and Donkey Kong. Every game I played was either 25 or 50 cents, which is exactly how it should be. Employees are really nice and welcoming, and even when they started closing up shop for the night, they weren't rude or obnoxious about it. Instead, they just slowly started turning off the cabinets that weren't being used while allowing those still in the middle of a game to wrap up at their own pace, which was awesome. I only have a few small complaints: -I know there's probably not a lot that can be done, but it gets HOT in there real quick. It will be a lovely hideout during winter, but right now it's absolutely sweltering. 5 minutes in, and I was drenched in sweat. Perhaps get some more airflow going somehow? -I feel the lighting is all wrong. A good arcade is dimly lit or almost completely dark (maybe with a blacklight on somewhere). The lack of surrounding light mixed with the brightly glowing screens draws in the attention and focus of players, and creates a warm, cozy feeling of complete immersion. Here, the lights were almost all on, and it didn't quite feel as immersive. I would suggest getting a few blacklights that you can hang from the ceiling or put in a corner and just shut off the lights in the arcade room. Might cut down on the heat of the place too. Anyways, really really cool place. This will quickly become a staple for me and my friends when we are trying to figure out something to do. read more

Great place to go with visiting family or friends; a funky place with lots of character. Older folks love the pinball room and younger folks love everything. Terminally normal people might find it offputting, but for most people, very worth the admission. Pinball at other places almost always feels like a rip off; not so, here! It hurts much less when that ball goes sailing between your bumpers, when you can simply just start a new game. It's cool that almost every time i visit there are a few new games. They recently added a weird Japanese driver you have to buckle into because the chair tilts around; love it. And they always have a working Dance Dance Revolution (even though they need to switch the songs!) The one negative, sometimes your favorite game is offline. But when you consider the age of many of these vintage machines it's not surprising. Incidentally, if you can somehow show up on a weekday, you will be able to play everything without waiting around giving some 14-year-old the side eye for hogging. read more
