It's fine. West Towne Mall has some solid stores and it's clean, but it just doesn't have the same energy it used to. A few spots felt kind of empty or outdated, and it's not really a place I'd go out of my way to hang out at. I went to this mall and I went to tacos ADY. I got a vanilla shake and the whipped cream was horrible, and the shake was not going through the straw. My friend got a strawberry shake and hers was watery. My other friend got a chocolate shake and his was literally chocolate milk. The blender was broken when my friend got her strawberry one and that's why it was watery. For the quality of these shakes to be this bad, they were 9.48 or something like that. 10 dollars for one singular shake was insane. Never go here ever because they will rip you off. Yelp 100 Challenge 2018 - 6 This mall is a decent size mall in Madison. They do have just about every store you need like Apple, Sephora and more. There is also the Cheese Cake Factory by the entrance. If you need to grab food after or before shopping, its pretty nice to just take care of everything at one stop. Honestly, I wont be too satisfied with this mall if I came here 3 years ago but have been living in Hilo, HI, I would be extremely happy with this mall. The mall in Hilo is almost nonexistent and has no stores like Sephora or Apple. Its horrible. Its not too big like the malls you see in California but they do have a lot of stores you can visit including one of my favorite store, Teavana. A lot of clothing shops as well as shoes stores. Department stores like Sears is here but I dont know if anyone shops there really. I dont, haha. Plenty of parking at the mall since its in this very spacious plaza by the freeway. Its nice to come out wth your friends and family not too far from home if you live nearby. read more

Nice one level mall with many shops that would be able to cater to everyone in the family. It was clean and well-maintained. Food court was decent. It has Potbelly sandwiches which i'm wanting to try one day. They have a couple of pretzel selections as well. The play area has cute things for kids to play on but the people in the play area? A lot of rude parents who don't watch their kids. They are opening a cheesecake factory here soon. That should add to the shopping experience for locals. read more

Typical mall with plenty of clothing shops and other variety of places to shop around located on the west side of Madison. Usually, we only come by if we have something in mind that we want to pick up or browse around for. Sometimes it gets a little tough trying to find parking but otherwise there are plenty of spots around the parking lot that surrounds the mall. Be careful coming in and out of the parking lot, watching out for other cars and pedestrians. Otherwise, with the selection of retail stores, food court and a few other food options located around the area, it's a good spot for a quick trip or a stroll through the mall. Keep in mind, there's the new Youth Escort Policy (YEP) in place for Friday and Saturday where unaccompanied minors will be turned away if there is no guardians. read more

West Towne Mall has seen better days. The roads around the mall are in wretched condition, pocked with suspension-eating potholes. During peak times, finding a decent parking spot is next to impossible and the mall itself is noisy and crowded. Now that the Apple Store has moved to Hilldale, I find myself visiting far less often. The main food court is populated by the type of chains you'd come to expect from a suburban mall (Taco Bell, Steak Escape, Subway, Auntie Anne's, etc). The recent addition of locally-owned Fancy Roll, featuring Thai rolled ice cream provides an appreciated respite from chains. The public restrooms are not for the faint of heart, I'll leave it at that... read more

The management for the mall along with Portillos act like a bunch of five-year-olds and when it comes down to figuring out who is responsible for the roadway around the mall. The potholes are almost 3 feet in diameter doing damage to many vehicles. Both properties are pointing fingers at each other and no one's fixing the problem. read more

It pains me to give places 1 star, but it's necessary. West Towne Mall is more of a hallway than a mall, and a few stores have left recently. None of the stores really grab my interest, and the ones that usually do (Pottery Barn, Athleta...) are tiny. I've never seen a smaller Pottery Barn! It's always a little dirty and dingy, and I feel dirty when I'm in there. I'd rather skip it and visit the few stores that I like there online. The food court currently has 3 empty restaurants (out of 13). Three of these appear to be local establishments, which also seems a bit unusual for a public food court (pizza, African? and gyros). Although the overall variety seems decent enough, I'm still somehow left underwhelmed. I think my overall discomfort is mostly due to the the empty businesses. I used to find this place a decent, quick stop when shopping, now I'd be more likely to seek sustenance elsewhere. read more

Barf. Really. That is the only way to explain West Towne Mall these days. Between the man-eating/car eating potholes (yea yea yea, cold patching sucks, I get it, but it's better to cold patch THAN HAVE MASSIVE POTHOLES ALL OVER THE PARKING LOT) and the disgusting bathrooms, this place is becoming gross. While I can't speak for the mens rooms, the ladies rooms here are ATROCIOUS. You better bring your puddle jumpers, because the floor is constantly wet. With what, you might ask? Who knows. I am all for mall loitering/drinking coffee while walking around/looking for new and sparkly crap to bring home, but these days I avoid this place like the plague. If I need something, I get in, and I get out. Can we also talk about that little booth in the center of the mall (near Francescas) with the European guys trying to sell me a new hair straightener? When you whistle at me to try to get my attention and say "Come here lady", be prepared to get mean-mugged... if not worse. I have no problem (kindly, of course...) telling those fine, polite gentlemen where to go. Unless I need something that can only be found at a store at West Towne, I'm out. Fix the dang potholes. Fix the nas-tay bathrooms. And get rid of those terrible men near the Francescas. They creepy. read more

Ah, West Towne. When I was a kid living in Stoughton you were the fancy mall that had little of interest to my pre-teen self. You've kind of maintained that vibe over the years, but as my interest in swirly polyester shirts and knock-off CK One has waned, I've grown to like you more. I don't spend a lot of time roaming, but you've got a few stores I hit fairly regularly (holler, cheap-wares peddlers Forever 21 and H&M, sale-bonanza JC Penney, Charming Charlie when I've got a wedding or need to otherwise color coordinate, and Sephora when I pretend that I actually wear makeup). A couple years ago I found a couple reliable areas to find parking, which has greatly improved my shopping experience. Do you have every store I want? No. Could I tell you off the top of my head what's missing? Also, no. And for that, I'll call you A-OK. read more

I agree with the others that the food court is nothing to shout about. But West Towne is definitely better than East Towne, in my opinion! Two things I observed while doing last-minute shopping (my husband's fault, not mine!!) here: 1. People in this mall, or maybe in malls in general, do not know how to walk. There's no right of way, or any walking etiquette, whatsoever in this mall. 2. WTF happened to Abercrombie & Fitch? I mean, I know they were always over the top in terms of cologne-reekness, but seriously?!?! I smelled the store from three stores away. As I walked by, I had to hold my breath. This is an average mall with stores including H&M, Forever 21, J.Crew, Gap, Sephora, William Sonoma, the Apple store, etc. it's a good place for casual browsing. But if you're looking for something special this is probably not the right place. However, the people that work here are wonderful. We went during Easter season and got to decorate cookies in William Sonoma. The staff were very nice and helpful. Actually every store we went to had friendly employees. And the food court has a great Gelato place with a lot of yummy flavors (I think it's more worth while than the Froyo place next to Potbelly) But the area can get very crowded on the weekend. read more

This is my go to mall for one stop shopping. i don't frequent as often as I used to cause I love to support more local non-chain shops when ever I can. They've got American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister the stores that I used to love in High School or more so just wanted to look like everyone. Now that I fell I have discovered my own style i shop at Banana Republic, J.Crew, Gap, Victoria Secret's, Sephora and for super cheap buys H&M and Forever 21 For the Foodie I am I LOVE Williams Sonoma. They've got everything for a cook, a baker or grill master plus dishware for a lovely table setting. You can't go shopping and not get a cup of coffee or a chiller at Gloria Jeans. They have a food court that fit every eater's taste. Pizza, chinese, Mcdonalds, Taco Bell, subs, burgers and more. They also have Paciugo gelato. There are a couple of restaurants and that are attached to the mall on the outside but can't get to them from the inside. Menchies a yogurt shop was add this summer. Was super excited about that cause im froyo crazy. Now these are just the places I like to stop at but there are tons more listed on their website. read more

West Towne Mall in Madison, WI I am from Dallas, Texas, aka the home of huge amazing malls. For this reason, I ask that you take my word with a grain of salt. I am sure this mall is the best to some people, but I have seen much better. The selection in my opinion just is not up to the standard that perhaps I am used to. there are only a few stores, most of which (probably all of which) are chains. This makes it so that you are never going to find something unique and super special because it is the same thing everyone else has just about everywhere else. The food court is getting better. They just added a Cheesecake Factory so that has lured in a lot more guests lately than usual. They also have a Granite City which I would liken to a up scale Chili's. Other than that the food court consists of everything you would see in any other food court--a Sabarro, Potbelly's, Auntie Anns etc. Now the service... yeah, that is just about as lack luster as everything else. The mall is located across the street from a high school which I think is where they acquire most the their employees. The students are rude and unhelpful at times, but this is also the case within most malls. Overall, if you want a unique shopping experience, I would suggest heading down to Chicago. read more

Tried to send this to CBL on their site, but it is not working right. I am not surprised. Probably don't want to hear this... I was at the mall recently with my daughter and was rather disgusted at how dirty the food court area. People were collecting trays and wiping down table tops, but chairs and seat cushions were dirty, and the tables had clearly not been carefully washed for a long time. Our bench was covered in dry rice from an earlier diner, but the table had been wiped. Just sloppy cleaning. When I looked closer, I couldn't help but notice how really dirty the surfaces on pillars were, how filthy the floors were. Everything I looked at was dirty. The grout was nasty. The whole food court needs a deep cleaning and not just the quick mopping it maybe gets. I wiped our table and seats with Clorox wipes before we sat down, and it took 4 wipes and they were black with grime. I would have just thrown away my food and left if it weren't for my daughter's expectations to eat and shop there. I didn't dare check out the bathrooms. Additionally, I was disappointed with the parking lot design. It is not very disabled friendly. I watched as a lady struggled to help her elderly father to her car. They were in handicapped parking but there was no way to walk straight to their car without going up the curb. He had to take many extra, shaky steps around to the one small cutout which had uneven pavement. After watching him almost fall I got out of my car and helped him to the car. This was near the Dick's Sporting Goods store. Why not design it more open? All the uneven, broken pavement in your mall parking lot is dangerous to cars and people. I almost went in a huge 4-foot wide pothole by Best Buy this past winter. If the mall felt less rundown and more inclusive to the elderly and disabled I would go there more often. It was also really warm in the mall like they turned down the AC to save money. Like I want to get all hot sweaty just to do a little back to school shopping. If the experience is dirty and uncomfortable, why go to the mall? These conditions are not helping you compete with online shopping. And seriously, there is not room for two cars on each side of your driving lanes going around the mall in the parking lot. That is just ridiculous, it is too narrow and horrible in our winters. read more

The one thing that really surprised me about Madison was the number of malls near to one another. Oh well, West Towne is much nicer on the inside than the exterior. You'll find your standard mall store fronts like Godiva, Sephora, Victorias Secret, Banana Republic, GAP etc. Nice selection for what I assumed was a near dead mall from the outside. The one thing that really shocks me is the few number of patrons at the mall. There's hardly ever anyone here. Which, I suppose, is a good thing. No teenagers clogging aisles and the such. The parking lot could use some renovation. The flow of traffic is odd sometimes and I've seen quite a few people get pretty confused by all the one way arrows. Overall an OK mall. This mall is disgusting. Trash not picked up at all and what really pissed me off was the mall cop stopping me and asking me for an ID. I guess there's a new rule that anyone under 18 can't be in the mall at a certain time. The mall cop should of approach me in a professional manner and also use his best judgement. Nice shopping center, and I particularly appreciated it when the security guard let me continue through the mall to stay out of the cold last Sunday - Boston Store was open and so were the restaurants on the other side, but everything else was already closed at 6 pm. I love coming to this mall, it is big, has many of the stores that I like to shop at. I went here on Monday 6/27, and it was very clean, and not too crowded. I visited the Apple Store, and had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. when ever I need to do some shopping, depending on the stores that I need to visit, I go to the West Towne Mall in Madison to meet my needs. read more

As far as malls go, this one is pretty decent! It has a good selection of stores, and very few empty ones (like many other malls I have been to). The H&M was surprisingly really big, and they have an Apple Store and a Sephora. The food court could definitely do away with a couple of the "stir fry" options, 3 is more than enough, and the bathrooms definitely need more cleaning. Overall though it is a mall we will more than likely be going back to! They are adding on a Cheesecake Factory, so we will have to come back to check that out. read more

We had a great time at this mall! Lots of our favorite stores Victorias secret, banana republic, new york and company, Jc penny, Sephora etc etc. Lots of great deals! Rogers and Hollands there gave us a great deal in a band for my ring and even threw in a pearl bracelet :)! Would definitely go shopping in this mall again! Potholes everywhere in the parking lot. Mediocre food court. Even the stores are surprisingly lame....lots of older people type of places. And the places for the younger set are generally littered with clothes on the floor and unhappy tweens complaining to their moms. Most stores in this mall seem to have a low selection, so buying online with a free shipping coupon is often a more attractive option for us. The stores are fine; nothing unusual. Apple Store is best part of the mall. The level of noise in this mall is annoying.
