Mike did a great job of getting our computers set up after crashing and all but loosing my old hard drive and all that was on it. He did a fab job of recovery and setting me up on a 500GB SSD. It works great. We got my wife's computer hooked up to the printer again. Only the next day when she went to use it, it was back up to it's old tricks again. Don't use this company unless it is an easy fix. When I called to have them come fix my computer I told the guy what was going on. He said to me it sounded like I messed up the registry and that someone would be out between 3:15 and 5:15 pm it would cost $129 for the first hour and every 15 minutes after that was more. The guy showed up an hour late (OK things happen) I offered him water and gave him a $20 tip ( I tip everybody that works at my house) I told him we are not rich so please keep it at the 1-hour minimum. He was not able to fix my computer and told me I was going to have to go buy a new computer. Then he asked to use my bathroom (which I hate other men using mine or my wife) He pissed all over my toilet, moved my housecoat off the door, and wiped his hands on my bath towel. All for $149. To top it off I thought that after 6 days they were not going to charge me (as my card hadn't been charged yet since they couldn't fix it). Then on the 7th day, I got the bill and asked me to leave a review. Their mistake! I could have used the $149 on the new computer that I spent $700 on. I almost forgot the guy didn't even wear a mask! I don't know if the last place he was at didn't pass Covid onto him. I shouldn't have to wear a mask in my own home he should read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! THEY DAMAGED MY COMPUTER AND DID NOT DO THE SEVICE THAT I HAD ASKED FOR Case # D210507008985 / Dispute re: charge from Geeks for you for $149.00. My first contact with "Geeks For You" was because I was having trouble with the display on my laptop.  I asked them to check the video card to see if that was the problem.  They told me that they would log onto my computer and check out the video card, which would take 10-15 minutes. I NEVER AUTHORIZE ANY OTHER WORK TO BE DONE, THEY WERE ONLY TO CHECK OUT THE VIDEO CARD. Instead of the 10-15 minutes they told me it would take; they spent 2 1/2 hours and they loaded a bunch of malware, spam and other software on my computer which caused my computer to run very slow.  They never checked out the video card, but instead told me they would have to come to my home to check out the video and that would cost me more money.  I then told them that I did not want them to come to my home and that I would find someone else to fix my computer.  I also told them that I wanted a refund for the $149.00 that they charged me since they did not do the work I asked them to do; which was to check out the video card.  They told me that they would not give me a refund since they spent 2 1/2 hours on my computer.  I then asked to speak to a supervisor since I never authorized them to spend 2 1/2 hours on my computer and the fact that they did not do the work I asked them to do.  The supervisor told me that he would only give me a refund of $66.00 dollars.  I told him that it was not acceptable that I wanted the $149.00 refunded and that if he did not give me a full refund that I would file a dispute with my credit card company. Because of the malware and other software they put on my computer I had to hire another company named "UbreakIfix" to fix the damage that "Geeksforyou" did to my computer which cost me $284.75. I cannot recommend this business. I needed a simple ethernet cable replaced which took 3 different techs who all came unprepared without any tools, did a sloppy job, left a mess and did not solve the problem and way overestimated the time they spent at our business. The communication by their management is seriously lacking. They did reduce the billing but only to the actual amount of time each of the techs spent just not what they lied about. I still had to hire someone else to resolve the problem. $500 to replace an ethernet cable is ridiculous read more

They did an excellent job on my laptop replacing the fan which was very hard to replace because it required removing the cpu board and one of the screws was stripped. Experienced, bright, I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

First time hiring them to come fix my work computer. They say they'll get you an appointment between 24/48 hours. I was scheduled 48 hours out. They were to show up between 12-2pm. they called after 12pm to let me know they can't make it and that I can't get another appt. for 5 days. I could've found someone else and instead I waited for my appointment and now I'm at square one with a computer problem. Won't recommend, won't hire. read more

Technician spent the entire time downloading something on his phone which did not address the issue, then charged me full price for the hour with no resolve to the issue, and left.
