Great customer service! I Highly recommend Eric and his company to anyone with computer issues for a professional, honest and affordable solution. He was on time, friendly and explained everything thoroughly. I needed help with a desktop and he responded quickly. We agreed on the best way to get it fixed and scheduled a pickup, which is a great service in itself. He kept me informed throughout. He found the problem and suggested the best solution. He never tried to upsell, which I've experienced with other companies. I will definitely use his services again and recommend to others. read more

I highly, highly recommend Geek4Cheap to anyone looking for computer services in the San Fernando Valley. I worked with Eric to get my 5 yr. old ASUS laptop back into top shape for the upcoming school semester. He was extremely professional and provided the best customer service I have ever dealt with anywhere. Honestly. The prices were very reasonable (even for this broke college student). After getting my computer back and seeing the HUGE difference in performance and snappy response in everything I do, I know my money was well spent. I will be recommending all my friends and family to his company. Thanks again Eric! read more

My Apple MacBook Pro stopped working, it started up, but gave me the empty file icon ... might as well have been the finger! Apple Genius was kind, but came out with pictures and said "you have liquid damage." The best they could offer was selling me a new computer and responsibly recycling my laptop. Then I found Eric totally by accident ... his flier showed up in the mail advertising his services right when I was looking at replacements. I called, he picked it up that day and by the next morning gave me a full report. He was confident that he could repair it, and that the "liquid damage" should not be a problem (the liquid was some hand cream that spilled into my laptop bag and took a year to show up as a problem. I approved of his repairs (which included a thorough cleaning and new SST hard drive at a Super Reasonable price, and now I have my computer back working GREAT!!! I want to add that Eric was very conscientious and checked back with me about a week or so later to make sure everything was working well and that I was happy. I highly recommend his work and the fact that he was able to fix what Apple deemed unfixable. Thank you Thank you Thank you! read more

I was very impressed. Eric got right back to me and came and picked up my computer on a Friday, over Labor Day Weekend, and brought my computer back to me on Wednesday. It was nice not needing to go anywhere. He gave me a quote and stuck to the quote, which was great! He was prompt and kept in touch the entire time he had my computer, and even gave me tech support after returning my computer. I would highly recommend him. read more

Eric is a rockstar! We had 3 HP desktops used by previous employees and we forgot the passwords on them. Rebooted back to factory settings and ready to worked on again in less than 24 hours. Thanks my man! You helped us out a lot. read more

We scheduled an appointment on a Wednesday at 10am but he emailed me an hour before saying he was called for another job so he had to cancel my appointment. We then rescheduled for today at 10 am. At 10am he was a no show, called him a couple times and emailed him and didn't hear from him until later in the afternoon asking if I want to reschedule for the third time! Nope, I had to move on to another company. Things might have been different if he called to tell me that he's going to cancel instead of being a no-show. read more

I found Eric to be personable, knowledgeable and reliable. It didn't hurt that he lived in Porter Ranch as well, and was at my door within minutes of me contacting him. My desktop computer was around 6 years old and had crashed and wouldn't boot again. He was able to fix it for me for a low price, save some critical files, clean out the extremely dirty insides of the computer, and recommend upgrades that sped up my computer at minimal cost. He replaced my old mechanical hard drive that had tons of bad sectors with a much faster SSD drive that sped up the computer like crazy, but he only charged a couple of hours of labor + cost of drive from Amazon. I even asked him if it was worthwhile upgrading memory or CPU but he said it wasn't worth it at this time. I appreciate that someone will give me their honest opinion and not try and oversell me. After receiving the computer back, I had a few follow up questions to ask, and he was extremely gracious in providing me after care service for free. I highly recommend Eric and Geeks 4 Cheap for all your computing and tech needs! read more

I purchased a MacBook to replace my iMac and needed help setting it up and moving data from the old computer. After seeing the reviews on Yelp I quickly contracted with Eric to do the work and I was not disappointed. Everything I asked for was done and he had suggestions for improvement. His work was so thorough that I haven't had to call him about anything so far. He knows what he is doing! But more than that, he is a very conscientious person. He made sure that I understood everything he did and he took plenty of time to explain things. I highly recommend him. read more

I have a 1 1/2 year old HP Spectre X360 laptop that needed the keyboard and clickpad replaced. Eric diligently researched the parts and found an OEM replacement for the entire face of the keyboard/clickpad assembly for a very affordable price. He picked up my machine on a Friday afternoon and I had it back Monday morning, so I didn't miss out on work. He kept me informed throughout the process, and I believe the total cost of his work and time was very reasonable. Would recommend. read more

I get it; I get all the reviews. After a couple of really bad experiences using friends for tech-support, despite paying them full price for their services, I decided I wanted to use an outside company when my machine was experiencing issues. I was referred here from a couple local photographers and I'm soooo glad I was. Eric was quick to reply to my questions, gave me cost effective solutions to my issues, didn't try to upsell me, and was super patient with all my questions. He had a quick turnaround, dropped off the machine to my house when promised, (even shared the find my phone option with me so I could see where he was) and it's working really well-better than promised! read more

And this type of work is never "cheap", but he's very reasonable and really tries to keep the cost down. I've already recommended him to several of our friends and they have been equally impressed. Geek4cheap is a professional, convenient, and fast service. I contacted Eric because I was having problems with two of my laptops. (1)Asus Laptop: The operating system was no longer functioning. It would no longer load and I kept getting different error messages. I thought this one was done for. (2)Dell Laptop: I had just recently bought this laptop. Unfortunately I spilled hot coffee all the over it: the screen, the TouchPad, the keyboard. Basically Eric took care of everything from the begining. He explained that if he could not fix them there would be no charge. He asked me to explain the problem beforehand and then gave me a price for each one. True to his word, I did not pay a dime more. He came and picked up both of the computers. He left me a form detailing exactly what was exchanged for each one(i.e. laptop charger). He did not charge me until he brought them back in working condition. One was brought within 24 hours. The other needed a part replaced. I was called informed and asked before anything was purchased. I received a tracking number for the part and received my laptop back on the day the part arrived. I tested each one before paying. He left me an invoice/receipt. What more can I say? He was easily accessible. He emailed and messaged me to update me on the progress of the repairs . He brought it back to my house at a time of my choosing and he was always on time. He clearly has his clients best interest in mind and knows what he is doing. It was also relatively cheap. I have already recommended him to my friends and I'll definitely be returning if I have any problems with any of my tech later on. read more

If I could give Eric a 10, I would. He responded over the weekend. He gave me at least 3 options to fix on my own, without any promise of pay. Once we connected on Monday, he was personable, funny and professional. He went above and beyond. Not only did he get rid of a nasty virus (2009 Mac desktop) but he added additional protection and updated my Mac to a system beyond its market capabilities. I am thrilled with the customer service. It was such a fantastic experience. For the record, his price was amazing and he spent way more time with me than his hourly price. You will NOT be disappointed!! read more

Calm, knowledgeable, and professional are a few of the words that best describe Eric. My iMac hard drive died. I previously took it to the Apple Store but they couldn't do anything. I called Eric who patiently listened to what was going on. I gave him my computer and although he was unable to rescue the data from the broken hard drive, (he removed HD, sealed it up and prepared it for me to send to another place at no charge), he was able to clean out my iMac and replace the original hard drive with a Solid State Hard Drive that made my computer faster and more efficient. I then, gave him my MacBook Pro to do the same. He backed everything up and updated both computers and made sure both were running perfectly. He never oversold me anything, was very honest and took the time to go over options with me. Eric follows up and encourages for you to call him for any computer questions/needs. He is very reasonable, worth what he charges, he will take great care of your computer, and I highly recommend Eric at Geek4Cheap if you are experiencing computer related issues. read more

I called Eric because I wanted my old computer fixed. He came to my work place to check it out and informed me that he could fix it, but it would be more cost-effective to buy a new computer. He did not charge me. Before he left, I asked if he could help me buy a new computer. I wanted a good computer, but I did not want to spend a lot of money. He said he could. He lent me his laptop so I would not get behind in my work. He ended up finding me a used computer and laptop. He installed new hard drives and delivered them to my home. I'm very happy with them! Eric is very knowledgeable, professional, reliable, and considerate. I highly recommend him! read more

Eric is a lifesaver! When my Macbook Pro suddenly refused to boot up I was stressin' BIG TIME. I didn't have my info backed up and I didn't have money for a new computer or new hard drive (actually kinda just didn't have money PERIOD). I researched the problem and tried everything to fix it on my own for 2 or 3 weeks until I finally threw in the towel and decided I'd have to hire somebody to fix it. I found Geek 4 Cheap and talked to Eric, who was super helpful. He took it with him and brought it back the next day; running smoothly, with all my info intact!! He even added some helpful stuff and took the time to run through it all with me. I expected him to want more money because it was a lot more work than he originally thought but nope- still the same price he quoted me before. He even called me a few days later to check in and make sure my laptop was still running properly. Fantastic service! Happy I found these guys, and I'll definitely be calling them again the next time I screw something up on my computer. read more

Eric was great. He cloned my hard drive and installed a new one I bought to upgrade my 2009 Macbook Pro. Very professional, friendly service - and when I ran into a slight issue after the clone he walked me through it and offered to come fix for free (though I ended up figuring it out). He followed up a few times to make sure all was operating perfectly - would definitely recommend Eric and use him again! read more

We had a hard drive go belly up on us on Saturday. Eric met us out while we were running errands, said he'd fix it overnight, and get it back to us on Sunday so that we could have the computer up and running for the work week. As promised, it was ready mid-day Sunday, and he dropped the computer back off at our house. We didn't even have to put on shoes. He walked us through the fixes, and showed us how everything was exactly the same as our old hard drive, only with a few hundred extra gigs to spare now. And for a great rate, too! Highly recommended. read more
