3/20/22 The Geek Squad, at Best Buy Margate, is exceptional. Recently, I brought my computer in for service. It needed some internal corrections. Agents, Daniel and Brandon, did a super job that was quite challenging. In addition, Alberto, Advanced Repair Specialist, and I, corresponded earlier, and he was very helpful, as usual. Finally, I want to thank all the Geek Squad online agents. They do a great job and provide terrific customer service. Recently, it was a pleasure speaking with Laura, who was very amiable and knowledgeable. The Geek Squad has created a fantastic model for amazing customer service. Best Buy and Geek Squad deserve a zero rating. Unprofessional and no attention to the paying customer. I booked and prepaid fin July 7th for a Geek Squad diagnostic visit on July 16. They gave me a 7a-1p service window. After waiting for 5 hours, I called. I was on hold for 39 minutes. When a rep came on the phone, I gave them my order # and was told that the technician had canceled my appointment and rescheduled it for a full week later!!!! No phone call, no email, no common courtesy no anything. Go to Walmart or Costco. Avoid these inconsiderate incompetent laggards read more

If I could give Zero - I would We bought my dishwasher from Best buy apparently they trusted Geek Squad with the delivery. I received an email that the dishwasher will arrive between 1-5pm . confirmed it. So we stayed home waiting for it I called best buy/ geek squad several times to notify that they mst arrive before 5 or the building will not allow them in. finally by 3 pm I was able to speak to someone after a 35 minutes wait. I explained the situation - the girl promised to "leave a note" for the driver. that was the most she could do. wow. at 4:10 I missed a call from a D Lopez - apparently the driver - I called right back . 4 times. sent me to voicemail. I sent him text - IN SPANISH . no respond I called Geek squad. waited 20 minutes - the agent claimed they have not yet reached my destination. They are en route - and hung up on me. GREAT SERVICE BEST BUY/GEEK SQUAD - but- to take my cach they were very quick. Much quicker! Remind me never to do buy anything from there! read more

What a surprise. I had the tech support help for years and loved it, but now that they are working from home and possibly not having to account for their work, I have been strung out to dry. Three days of calling, logging in, going through the same instructions to no avail, staying up til midnight due to the wait time, but they never got back to me anyway. When I called for the fifth time, in the notes, the rep wrote that he emailed me and resolved the problem. Total lie! And I have purchased total tech support, yet to come out to the house, they are going to charge me again. The hours and precious time this has all taken is beyond comprehension. I know with one complaint, there are many many more. People are too disgusted, busy, and distracted to take the time to do what I am doing. Terrible experience. The young Hispanic guy was disrespectful and dismissive.. very rude.. ignoring people and don't talk to you if you are late to the appointment 5 minutes. I don't come to this geek squad at Best Buy.. if you have to, talk to the girl. read more

The Geek Squad techs are amazing! Specifically Angela and Hector! They are the most efficient, hard working and knowledgable individuals there. I've been a customer at this store for a little over a year and have always gotten outstanding service by both of them. They go over and beyond to help you with any questions or concerns. I took my iphone 6s into the Best Buy Geek Squad to replace the battery. The tech quoted $69 and asked for my Apple passcode and told me it would take 3 hours because he had to charge the battery. I refused to give him my passcode and left. The next day I had the battery replaced at the Apple Store for $49, it took 40 minutes, and I did not have to give them my passcode. The battery was not fully charged, but I did not risk having my security breached. read more

Do not buy their service plans . Worst customer service .No shows without calling was experienced . Automatic without checking re-appointments made at odd hrs . Long long wait times to speak to Geek squad with their only ability it appears to simply relay messages . Sounded as if they were a third party answering service . Very frustrating . My recommendation to Geek squad is to hire more managers who would directly deal with customers vs answering services. Lastly Geek squad needs to cut down on telephone wait times . After being told that there would be a call back, I waiting an additional 25 minutes for someone to answer the phone . The only person who was conscientious enough to follow up was Geek squad field manager Dina Cosarelli . She finally got involved and cared enough to both text me as well a personally call me to confirm the date for the repair . She was outstanding and needs to be recognized by the company ! Lastly I feel the technical person Hernando she sent down was excellent and should be recognized as well by the company. read more

I dread calling the Geek Squad of Best Buy. Waiting, 2 hours, for a tech, is lousy service, poor management and a shows a disregard for time. After my contract is up, I intend to find another tech outfit that operates more effectively. The service is awful...and not worth it. read more

Brought in my three year old Dell Inspiron 1721 notebook when it fell into a coma last month. After fondling my unit for a few minutes, the Geek at the counter told me that he'd have to mail it to the Geek Squad service center in Kentucky. When do I get my computer back? "You could get it back in two or three weeks." What's it going to run me? "Depends. At least $400." I bit the bullet and decided to trust the Geek. 12 days later, a computerized Geek voice leaves me a Geek message letting me know that my unit is ready for pickup. Anxiety be-gone! Pickup day! A different Geek handed my unit back to me half-sheepishlike. "We're not allowed to open this model." The Geeks never even opened it! That's right, my 17-inch unit was uncut! 12 days to let me know that they wouldn't attempt to even diagnose the issue. Ooh, this made a.t. the opposite of happy. And a.t. let that Geek know. And all the Best Buy customers within about 50 feet of the Geek counter got to know also. Advice: Use Preemo. Jovary will take good care of you. And your unit. read more

These guys have no clue what there doing. Theryre just posers and not real IT techs. I took in an external hard drive that stopped working. The guy plugged it in...saw it wasn't working, gave up And threw his hands up. Said I have to mail it in... Could take weeks and no guarantee of data recovery. I said no thanks. Called up a buddy who I know is an IT pro and he gave me a command prompt to enter.. Worked like a charm. Don't go here expecting anything to be fixed. They're going to tell you they can't and tell you to mail it in go a ton of money and no guarantee. Waste of time. read more

My husband & I make the mistake of purchasing a BOSCH washing machine from BEST BUY. If you want to save your sanity, DO NOT make a purchase at BEST BUY. The GEEK SQUAD service is horrendous. It took 4 calls over a week to lock in an appointment to fix the washer, that their "tech" has been here to fix 3 times previously. Today was the day of appointment # 4, between 8-1pm. Repair never showed up. I called customer service and was on hold 40 minutes, then was disconnected. I called again, was on hold for 38 minutes and finally a rep picked up and said the appointment was canceled, no call to me or reason given. I told him I need someone here today as promised (we are away the next 2 months). He hung up on me. I then decided the leave my number and have them get back to me. 36 minutes later, another rep called and I explained the situation again and guess what? He hung up on me as well. I now will place a call to BOSCH to see what they can do to get this machine fixed in September. WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! read more

They are the WORST! Tried to set up an appointment for repair. After 20 minutes on the phone the agent said that she would have to call me back due to technical difficulties/. They never did. After waiting 45 minutes on IGNORE when I called back the next day, I just gave up. They are the worst. I predict that they will be out of business in a year. Geek squad guy came today to set up my new apple computer, transfer files from old PC and upload new programs. I bought Adobe acrobat as I use it a lot in business. He networked my printer and I wanted to scan one document to make sure it worked. He knew nothing about adobe. It took close to an hour to scan a document...a single document...and in the end...we could not figure out how to name the document. I was so frustrated. I had prepaid for an hour of training to help get to know my new apple. But that was used up trying to figure out how to scan a document and we never got to try anything else on the new computer. Rude people. the protection plan is a scam, they do not replace your damaged item. They do not credit your credit card. As a great thing they gift you an e-gift card, under the market value of the damaged item, the gift card does not cover for taxes and on top of all they cancel your protection plan. In a way they are forcing you to buy from Best Buy again, and not only that, but you have to spend more money from your own pocket to cover the extra expenses. Big scammers. read more
