BEWARE - Poor customer service and dishonesty…read more We bought an LG refrigerator from Canadian Discount Appliances, 808 Courtland Ave E, Kitchener, on January 26. About an hour later, we called to request a refund after finding a better option at Costco with free delivery. The store said a full refund was not possible because delivery was already scheduled, but they agreed to refund $50 back to my Mastercard to match Costco's free delivery. Delivery was scheduled for the next day between 8-11am, and we specifically requested a 15-minute call before arrival, which was agreed to. No one called. At 2pm, we were told deliveries were delayed. Around 4:30pm, the delivery driver called yelling, screaming, claiming we didn't open the door--despite never calling ahead. His behavior toward my husband was rude and unprofessional. As of February 6, the promised $50 refund back to my Mastercard was still not issued. When we called the store, the manager was hostile, made false accusations, refused to listen, and hung up. The store manager made statements that were untrue to justify refusing the $50 refund. Very disappointing experience. Poor communication, unprofessional conduct, and unresolved refund. Save yourself the headache and shop at a reputable big-box store instead.

I've dont some uber ests pick up coincidentally in the mall, there hadn't been a food place I quite enjoyed for quality or hidden gem and the markings on the floor for social distancing are Soooooo confusing. The mall has a few entrances, you can enter from the main entrance where the Osmows and east side Mario is. My favourite less crowded entrance is the back where the new bowling alley is, the entrance has enough parking you can turn in from Conestoga Blvd and you're there -plus the Zehrs is there the Starbucks inside (yay). There is some good outlet shopping here, theres a Marshall's and theres some others. I swear I bought the cutest cocktail champagne dress that was retail $200 for $20, so there are deals here. Now that the pandemic restrictions have been lifted there are return options where stores were pretty much forcing final sale. So if you're in the area or just need an indoor walking gym, this is the place. It feels empty but I feel my shopping is efficient, no lines up :)

Their cup supplies were not very well organized and it took some time to find it. We went through the grocery section and noticed that the prices are basically grocery store prices. There is no wholesale. If someone was looking for much larger sizes of things for a restaurant, they could certainly find it there. However, I found it expensive they have fresh produce which could be purchased more cheaply at Costco at the cash register. We were asked if we would use our PC optimum card and that's when we realized this is a grocery store with some restaurant supplies, one of the big things that should have triggered that thought was that there's no membership required. In terms of the staff, I found people very friendly, and the location is quite good. If I were just reading the staff, they would get a five star.

I have a weakness for candy and desserts. I got white chocolate popcorn, beer nuts (pumpkin and peanuts), and graham cracker pretzels coated with dark and white chocolate. All six bags were under $16. The store also sells Kawartha ice cream, salt water taffy, sponge toffee, fudge, chocolates, and more. I would come back to visit these two stores. I don't need to put on my makeup face to get a pack of socks, catfood or chips. When a wealthy looking lady shops, she is treated just as kindly too. The staff are honest, good people. The manager has been there for years and sure has showed his decent attitude over the years. I was been discreetly helped when I was ashamed that my 2 year old son pooped behind a rack there. Now he is going to college and that store is like home. We hope the Gentrification of Downtown Kitchener doesn't change this gem.
