The Downtown Kitchener store has been a pillar of my 20 years raising a family here. It has fixtures reminiscent of my childhood Woolworth's in a small town.
Regular people can shop here. I don't need to put on my makeup face to get a pack of socks, catfood or chips.
When a wealthy looking lady shops, she is treated just as kindly too.
The staff are honest, good people. The manager has been there for years and sure has showed his decent attitude over the years.
I was been discreetly helped when I was ashamed that my 2 year old son pooped behind a rack there.
Now he is going to college and that store is like home.
We hope the Gentrification of Downtown Kitchener doesn't change this gem. read more
