Ask the Community - Geaux Scottie

Good evening. I'm currently planning a trip for my mother's 60th birthday for July 28th-July 31st and wanted to know how we could arrange for transportation throughout the entirety of our trip with your company? Do you provide this type of service?

Hi Che, to better answer your questions I need to ask you a few to know what services to offer you. Will your party be flying in and need transportation from airport as well? How many is in your party? Would you prefer to charter transportation… Read more

Amazed by the amount of great reviews, I decided to call Michael for our car service to and from…read moreour hotel and airport. I emailed him two months in advance and he was so communicative with me, gave me a fair and great pricing. Furthermore, I love supporting privately owned and small companies, because I value their dedication and amazing service. A week before our arrival to New Orleans, he followed up with me, confirming arrival times and flight number. As we arrived, he was already waiting at the baggage claim and along with hand-held sign with our name on it. We loved that without having to repeatedly call and worry where he is parked or where he is waiting. His luxury SUV is pristine and a beauty--a black Lincoln Navigator. There was so much comfort and leg room and his car was air conditioned already along with our seats. He also handed us two cold bottles of water, which we greatly appreciated after coming from a long flight. He drove us to our hotel and the ride was so smooth and we felt so safe that I fell asleep! Haha! Michael is wonderful in his demeanor, his personality and his service. On our last day of our vacation, he was already at our hotel exactly at 3:15 pm with the SUV ready and set to go to the airport. We will always remember Michael for our transportation needs and hope to come back to New Orleans. Very nice, courteous, and professional man.

I boarded from new terminal; 3rd level; over by Southwest I believe. 2) signage is horrible at the airport - but after asking hospitable airport workers, I made my way to the stop that where city buses stop. (Farther outer island) 3) the bus is local which means many stops and is used by working folks and urban commuters. I felt completely safe the entire morning journey. It travels the route of non-tourist, and common strip malls, medical buildings, etc. Not pretty 4) the bus requires exact cash - but if you use the "transit" app- you can find New Orleans RTA and buy all types of tickets using the app. 5) bus takes a lot of time but is far cheaper than the $50 ride share return to airport I made several days later. 6) bus clean, seemed safe, and while I had my roller luggage - not set-up for travelers. I can't believe this is the only public transit to/fro from airport bc it's really a everyday city bus, but maybe that changing? Sad that there wasn't a more efficient option (as in, under 30-40 minutes). The people of NOLA deserve it.

With less time I'd suck it up and pay $35 for an Uber. But listen to my math and learn how the…read moreeconomics on this bus works. If you take this bus to/from the airport you're saving around $30 and adding about 30 minutes on to your journey. Therefore, you're making about $60/hour to ride this bus vs. taking an Uber. I don't know about you, but I don't make $60/hour at my job so I'll happily take the E-2 bus if I'm not in a rush. Throw on a set of headphones and watch a couple episodes of your favorite show and the time will pass by.
