I contracted for a Rolls Royce for myself the bride and the limbo bus for my bridesmaids. My driver was awesome. However the driver for my bridemaids was horrible. When they arrived at the venue, he threw all of their bags off the bus on to the ground. There was also a guess that witness him doing this. This is an elite company, who came highly recommended by my Military friends, so thats why I choose them. I contacted the company to report this matter and spoke with a representative who said that he would get the drivers side of the story. I have not heard back from them. read more

Hired two passenger buses and the Rolls Royce limo for my daughter's wedding on 10/21. Buses were perfect as were the drivers. The limo, however, was not. As it left our home to head to the church, my husband and daughter smelled terrible gas fumes. They thought it would go away as they drove but it got worse. They called me in the bus and said that they'd have to get on the bus with family and bridesmaid group as soon as we all arrived at the church. They could not stay in the limo. As they got on the bus with us the smell on their clothes was obvious. Clearly strong gas smell. I emailed the company Monday after the wedding and still haven't heard back. In short, do not rent their limo. read more

We were advised to be outside our hotel by 12:30 PM. The bus didn't arrive until 12:50 PM. Had we known the bus was going to be 20 minutes late, we would not have waited outside in the 80° heat with humidity in the middle of the afternoon. Once picked up, the driver made no effort in welcoming onto the bus, gave zero directions what was going happen after our tour was done( if we were going to have to same driver) or even how we would know which bus to get onto. Our driver, for whatever reason, decided to make a U-turn out of nowhere, parks the car in front of a random Burger King parking lot, then we sat there for 15 minutes without a reason why we were just hanging out. It wasn't until another group of people from another group showed up, that we learned they were just combining trips . read more

I recently used Alert Transportation for a group trip to New Orleans and Carnival cruise to Cozumel Mexico. I hired the 25 passenger min-bus for our three transfers (airport, cruise port, airport) and added a city tour for our group of 18 travelers. Each experience with this company was FIRST CLASS!! Our three drivers were very timely and extremely professional. My group had children, adults and a person with mobility issues and Alert handled us exceptionally on each transfer. We also scheduled a 3-hour city tour upon our return to New Orleans prior to our transfer to the airport. Gary, our driver and tour guide was exceptional! His knowledge of New Orleans history (to include Hurricane Katrina facts) was amazing. Then entire experience from scheduling to our final drop-off at the airport was flawless!! The bus was clean on the inside and outside. The traffic conditions were particularly bad in the area of the city that was our destination that evening. We were a group of 6, arriving in New Orleans after a week long cruise. The van met us at the ship, gave us a six hour tour and delivered us to our French Quarter hotel. The driver was a native of New Orleans and took us to all the places we requested and several he recommended. Terrible!!! Really bad customer service! My fiancé and I called them on Saturday and spoke to a girl. We told her that we wanted to book an 8 passenger limo for 2 hours for a wedding. We went over where this was taking place and where the drop offs would be so she was well aware of the city. She quoted us a reasonable price and let us know that in order to book we would need to fill out a form and pay half the total. We said we would come on Monday and she told us to come at 3. On the Monday my fiancé called them to reconfirm. They told him that the girl had misquoted him and told him it would be an extra $100. A conversation took place for 30 minutes involving different people coming on the phone. After this they agreed to do it for the original price they had "misquoted" us and told us to drive over and do the paperwork. When he got there and started the paperwork another guy got involved and said that they couldn't do this. Waste of time. Bad attitudes. Wouldn't use if they were free. All in all they did us a favor as another company has given us a cheaper quote than these idiots and they seem to understand customer service and professionalism. read more

Picking a company from the long list of available limo services in New Orleans was a bit bewildering. I selected Alert on a whim. Needed to get from the airport to the French Quarter with wife, nanny & two little ones (3 & 4.5 years old). Skip, who said he was a supervisor, picked us up. He was sincerely warm & friendly, and brought a beautiful, spotlessly clean van. He immediately endeared himself to the kids, and gave us many helpful suggestions on tours, and gave us our own along the way. He thoughtfully brought us by a convenience store to pick up milk & the like for the kids, and, much to everyone's delight, brought us to a top notch snowball stand! We travel to NoLa frequently, and will certainly be back to Alert for our transportation needs on the ground. read more

Worst Limo transportation business in New Orleans. Watch out for their so called quotes. There's a high possibility the quote will increase when reserving vehicles. They lost out of $851.00 over a $72.00 increase. I went with Capital City Trolleys and AM Party Bus. My total is now $715.00. Far more better Limo services in New Orleans than Alert Transportation. I used Alert for a family trip to New Orleans. I hired the Town Car for two separate transports -one from the train station, the other from the airport and a group transport of 30 people from the airport to the hotel and onto the port the next day. EVERY EXPERIENCE WAS TOP NOTCH! Our driver Lemoine (sp) was timely and professional. My group had small children and several seniors with mobility issues with all of the equipment that goes along with it and Alert handled us excellently. They even sent an extra bus to transport our luggage on cruise day (yes we had that much!). I chose them after finding them on an random Internet search and they far exceeded my expectations. Special shout out to Lacey and the ladies that are in the office! They were professional and extremely thorough. I will be using Alert from now on for all of my NOLA transportation needs. Alert Transportation did a great job the night of our wedding. They were easy to get in touch with and coordinate with beforehand. The driver was early, friendly and held up a sign so he could find us in the hotel lobby. And when we weren't quite ready, he patiently waited. Couldn't have been more happy, we had a great time riding around in the Limobus. One of the favorite parts of our wedding was the limobus ride with the entire bridal party from the church to the reception; we had a blast! The driver we had for our wedding day transportation was terrible. Despite reportedly having 8 years of local experience, he did not know the locations we needed to get to by name or address. He did not know how to get to them! He had trouble navigating there even when our wedding photographer and the groom navigated using Google maps. He gave us his cell phone number so we could call to be picked up from a certain location and then was extremely difficult to communicate with! He made us walk in the rain when the entire reason for the shuttle was to avoid the rain! When I reached out to Alert Transportation to discuss this issue, I was essentially told it was all my fault for the wedding date I chose. We booked a Plantation / Air boat tour through a service that happened to use Alert Transportation as their shuttle service to and from the tours. We paid $500+ to take these tours and Alert Transportation ruined the entire day / tour. Our driver, Brian W. was awful. He drove very fast passing nearly every car on the freeway the entire way there. I was just hoping to get to our tour destination in one piece. My wife and I were both scared and uneasy. The driver also would not stop talking and laughing at his own 'jokes' the ENTIRE trip. He was even talking to himself and laughing at himself as he drove. Sometimes he took a break from this to talk on his cell phone. Imagine all of this as he is driving at a high speed down the freeway...in the rain. Finally, I made my way up to the front and asked him to slow down. He was sooooo offended and made a big, dramatic production out of it. It was VERY embarrassing. We were not really able to enjoy our tour because we were worried about surviving the ride home with Brian W. read more

Kathleen went on a city tour with them and truly enjoyed herself while learning a lot about the city. They picked us up promptly for the return to the airport and once again the driver was very helpful. You might want to book this on your own rather than use a concierge as it will probably be cheaper for you. Today I tried to book transportation service for a company event in next week, the lady answered the call was really impatient and rude. I called from California, and I am not an Indian, she asked me if I was calling from Indian and she said I sounded suspicious?! Not sure what is going on in her mind, not sure how she talks to other clients, but the way she talked to me was not acceptable and certainly made me decide not to use her company service ever. Wish the owner could see my feedback and improve the customer service in his office. Our driver responded to each request with gracious courtesy, supplied professional and personal attention, and ensured all of our guests were transported to each destination safely and on time. My husband and I hired Alert Transportation to transport our wedding party, our families and our out of town guest to City Park for our wedding and reception. We arranged a single bus to pick up the wedding party and family members first and then loop back to pick up the remainder of our guests. We then arranged to have two buses pick-up everyone at the same time at the end of the wedding because we were surprising everyone with a secondline through the French Quarter. We paid more money to have the two buses pick-up at the same time. One bus came picked up more than half of our guest and left only to drop off all the guest at the hotel and not at the start of the of the secondline. The other bus came at least a half hour late. So more than half of the guest did NOT get to experience the secondline that we paid $375 for a parade permit, $1200 for a second line band, $300 for secondline umbrellas & beads to throw, $200 to be recorded by our videographer and $120 more to have both buses there at the same time at the end of the evening. I was so upset that so many people missed out on the surprise, I barely enjoyed the secondline through the Quarter. Not to mention spending $2195 for less than a third of our guests. When I called Milton to discuss what happened, he offered no apology, no inquiry if he could make it better. Milton just kept telling me it was not in the contract that the buses had to leave together. BUT the buses didn't even arrive together. For all we know, it was the same bus because we waited for at least 30 minutes for the second bus to arrive. I spoke with all three women that work in the office taking the transportation orders and I explained to each of them that we were surprising the guest with a secondline and needed the buses to be together and to drop off four blocks short of the hotel. Paying $120 extra for the two buses to be there together implies that I want them there at the same time, if not I would have set it up the same way we went to City Park with the bus loop. read more

Terrible! They don't even deserve 1 star... Picked me up on my wedding day and was so rude! Threw our bags were in the trunk in the hallway of my wedding reception.. Then at the end of the night me and my husband had one of the limo cars come pick us up we waiting outside for 15 mins then decided to call bc they DIDNT EVEN COME PICK US UP!! Once I got in touch with them the man said he tried calling someone's phone (which was my mothers) 30 minutes before they would leave to come get us and no one answered the phone so they didn't come... For one why would anyone answer the phone especially my mother bc my wedding was still going on!!! I am furious... That guy made us sooo mad and that was on our wedding night and not to mention I've tried calling and nothing was ever settled they just took the charge off of my card for the one that didn't show!!!
