Not being from New Orleans I looked for a shuttle service on Yelp that could take me from MSY to my hotel near the French quarter ( and back). I thought it was a fairly simple request but only Bernard transportation had the courtesy to reply to my quote request. Ruben contacted me right away and connected me with the driver "Mr. Harold". We made the arrangements for pick up, destination, and cost within a few mins after contact. I checked in with them 24hrs before my flight arrival and when I got there Mr Harold was waiting for me at a door outside baggage claim and we were off. Mr Harold spent the drive giving me the lay of the land, and restaurant recommendations; several of which I visited with my colleagues during my week long business trip. Had a perfect start to my first ever visit to NOLA and Bernard Transportation was a big part of that experience. Lastly, my flight out of MSY was scheduled for 5am. My husband and I used this service when we vacationed in New Orleans this fall. The pick up from the airport was my only problem and that is because they forgot all about me but we did confirm by email and unfortunately he forgot. However, he did send someone in his place and he was very nice. He apologized for the error and suggested restaurants for us to visit. Vehicle was clean and he even had cold water for us. The fee was the norm for all transportation. However, through further investigation we catch a cab on our return to the airport and it was at least half the price. I recently completed my annual "Girls" trip and fifth visit to The Big Easy. My group of 9 needed roundtrip airport transportation and I opted for one vehicle versus taking multiple cars. I did a internet search which lead me to Yelp where I found Bernard Transportation. The owner, Reuben was fantastic. Not only was he prompt, he was reasonably priced and provided a warm welcome. He created a sign for us ladies, beads, a Kings cake, and postcards. That was so very nice of him to do. We also utilized his services for transportation to a restaurant about 15 minutes from the Quarter and a swamp tour located about 20 or so minutes from the Quarter. Mr. Bernard is New Orleans! Very responsive to my phone calls and texts! He was at the airport with a sign welcoming us! (My name was spelled wrong, but it happens a lot so no biggie) He helped us with our luggage, loaded it into the van. When we got in the van, he handed my mom a gift bag with beads, post cards and a shot glass and then he gave me a cake. Got us to our hotel and picked us up 4 days later, on time to get back to the airport. He told us he does private tours too, I wish I'd known, my 81 year old mom would have enjoyed that way more than how much we made her walk around the city! We will save it for next time. What a delight to meet Mr Bernard! Not only did he pick up his phone immediately when I called, he also kept checking with me regarding my date of arrival and the arrival time. Greatly enjoyed Reuben's tour of New Orleans. For our group of 5 it was $49 each. As we were only in town for 3 days it was a great way to get an overview of the city and figure out where we might want to return to. We spent a lot of time learning about how Katrina affected the area, and seeing the levies. We got out at one point and walked up a levee in order to see how the water line was high above the town itself. That was my favorite part, and I wish there were more places we could have gotten out of the van and had a quick look around (such as the cemetary and near the big Lake). At the end he dropped us off at Parasol's for some great Po'Boys. Very informative. He also picked us up from the Cruise Port, as well as drove us back to the airport. WOW!!!! Like so many others, my family and I had an incredible experience in New Orleans with Reuben Bernard from Bernard Transportation going back and forth from the airport to our hotel. I had planned on checking in on multiple transportation services for my adult family of 5, but after calling Reuben first I was convinced he was the company for us. Plus his Yelp reviews are off the chart (rightfully so). Reuben was at our baggage claim area holding a sign with my name. We were warmly greeted and Reuben presented us with beads. Booked Bernard Transportation for a ride from the airport to the Central Business District/French Quarter on February 12 and for a ride back to the airport on February 15, 2021. The whole booking process was seamless and easy. Mr. Bernard was very quick to respond to text messages and communicated well. He greeted our party of four at baggage claim with beads and a welcome cake. He made a great first impression with his friendly and welcoming attitude. He and his partner (Reggie) loaded our bags in a black escalade SUV and promptly took us to our hotel.
