It's only open a few hours a day and looks like it's been there, in the same exact spot since before Teddy Ruxpins existed. Exactly my kind of burger joint for lunch when on the road!!!! I grabbed a double cheese burger with bacon and jalapeños and a side of onion rings. I am team mustard so I got yellow bliss added to my buns and I asked for the lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickle be spared as I had to eat on the fly. I really wish I'd have got it tho!!! The burger didn't need it, but I would have preferred it. So this burger was so freaking good!! Patties had this beef flavor that just kicked my taste buds with a tire iron in the best way possible. Then I had bacon stop by and say hi while slapping me a jalapeño kiss . It was hard to keep my truck between the mustard and mayonnaise stripes!! This was an emotional cheeseburger experience!! My onion rings were solid and delicious but for my preference a little too greasy. I'd eat them again but would opt to try the fries if I make it back up that way again!!! Im so glad I stopped in!!! Tonight they not only messed up an item on the order, they repeated the same mistake they were "fixing" to start with. They'd left out the locos last time which I'd discovered when I got home, so I just called and they said they'd add them next time which worked great for me. Only this next time they left out TWO orders of locos. We caught it as we were pulling away from the window this time, but in order to get them we had to get back in line behind six other cars meaning another 20-25 minute wait as the doors had locked ten minutes earlier. They were apologetic, but their solution was for us to wait in line for the food or wait in line for a refund. The best customer service response would have been to just run them out to us real quick. Instead, we left annoyed and without food for which we had paid for a second time in a row. It was just too much. Hence, the negative review. In a small town, we don't have a lot of options, but it's not worth the frustration of paying for items you don't receive.

There was plenty to choose from on the menu. Our burgers were very good. Thin, handmade patties with a nice toasted bun. All the ingredients were fresh and made this a wonderful "backroads" burger. The onion rings were the best I've had in years. The customer service was fast and pleasant. Most of the main items on the menu ran between $7-9. I will be returning to the great little roadside burger joint my next time through Thomas no doubt.
