This is the restaurant in the Hyperion Hotel Basel. We decided we would just eat there instead of going out in the cold again. The food is pretty good, but everything is rather pricey. I ordered a bowl of barley soup as my meal (10.5 CHF) and my dinner companion had the grilled salmon with risotto (not sure of the exact cost, but definitely more than 25 CFH). Surprisingly, they served an assortment of wonderful complimentary spreads with a basket of bread. This, with my soup, was definitely enough for a meal. The spreads included a caponata, butter, and a tuna salad. Both the caponata and tuna were delicious. My barley soup was thick and delicious and very hearty. The grilled salmon and risotto, which I had a taste of, were also delicious, but the risotto was a bit too salty. The salmon was moist with a nicely grilled skin. No tap water is available, so if you want water you have to buy a bottle. All in all, it's a good place to get a meal without leaving the hotel. read more
