This has become my go to snack at Gaucho's. This patty is available with cheese and beef or just cheese. The patty in the picture is the beef patty and I'll say it's so good. The service is quick and they give you a beeper while you wait. Once you receive your meal you also receive a side of sauce. The only thing I would chant would be to make the cup of sauce bigger.
I wasn't super blown away by this place. I came with some friends of mine and after looking at all the food options at this food court area, Brazilian fare sounded the best. These food court places in general are not my favorite, no matter where they are. I feel like the food is always overpriced and under-delivers. Unfortunately I thought this was the case for Gaucho's Fire. I ordered grilled beef Chimichurri fries. I thought they were not bad, but pretty underwhelming. For the price, I don't really think they were worth it. The beef wasn't punching me in the face with flavor like I expected, and the whole dish I thought was pretty carelessly assembled. As far as the service, I would say it was pretty standard. The ambiance is pretty fun and exciting, given the whole hustle and bustle of the food court scene. I think the next time I'm back here I may choose a different spot.
My work is currently looking for new options for food trucks. Gauchos was mentioned and it just so happened they'd be close to my home for a food truck Friday. I stopped in and loved their selections! I went with the Brazilian steak on a bed of lettuce. Portions were huge and it was so good. If I could eat the bread, I can only imagine how much better it would be. The staff were so friendly! We will definitely look to book them in the future!
I visited Indianapolis for the weekend. We tried Gaucho's Fire Express. It is inside a food hall with several local restaurants. Plenty of seating and we did pay for parking. The customer service was excellent and suggested to order the Ultimate Brazillian Sandwich. It was decent but could have been better. I do wish the French bread was toasted and had more gaucho sauce. The steak and sausage were cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the experience and loved where it was located.
While I was getting my complimentary meal from Clancy's courtesy of Yelp Elite Events, my better half ordered from Gaucho's Fire. We both have been wanting to try this place since our first visit to The Garage Food Hall. The service was great. The staff was nice, explained the menu options for her and the food was served up quickly. She ordered the Chicken Fries. It looked really good and was less than $10. The basket came loaded with fries and grilled pieces of chicken smothered in cheese. She also had grilled onions added which are optional. The gaucho sauce combined with the cheese was yummy. She would take her fork, add a fry, a piece of chicken and a sliver of onion, all covered in cheese for the perfect bite. She couldn't eat all the fries, there were just too many. But she ate every piece of chicken and all of the onions. There were these bread cheese balls that she wanted to try next time. She would order them to share with friends; they looked really good. I on the other hand, have had my eye on the Brazilian Steak Sandwich from other Yelp reviewer's photos. The only negative she had was they only served soda in cans. She loves fountain drinks with lots of ice. So she had to stop by Clancy's to get her drink. She hopes they add a soda machine soon.
Its OK. Not great. I got the Ultimate Brazilian sandwich which was a combination of steak and sausage and peppers and their special sauce. It was different and I guess that's what made it interesting. Sometimes when you try something new it wakes up your taste buds and you find yourself craving it and needing to have it again. That was not the case here. It was good...I don't regret ordering it....but I also don't think I'd get it again. The people are nice and the service was fast.
Food truck can be called into your neighborhood! It was so convenient for us to place an order by online. You get notified by text message when food gets ready. Since food truck was parked in our amenity center, it was a quick order and pick up. You can also walk up to the food truck and order. They cook really quick. French fries were very crispy and meat had some good flavors. We really enjoyed our food.
Visited The Garage food hall downtown in the Bottle Works area off 9th and Carrollton. There are over 20 different food vendors to choose from offering different food options from around the world housed in an attractive industrial food hall with plenty of tables and chairs to sit and eat. We chose the Gaucho's Fire and their menu of Brazilian food. I selected the Ultimate Brazilian Sandwich - a French bread hoagie filled with homemade seasoned steak, chimichurri, tomato, tortilla strips, sliced sausage and grilled onions. We also split a side of fries. The sandwich was quite large and the meat was very tender and well-seasoned. All in all, it was a very satisfying meal. The decor of the food court was great - it provided a welcoming place to sit and enjoy our lunch. I can't wait to go back and try another meal from a different part of the globe.
The people are always friendly. The food is always good and the establishment is clean. This time I ordered Gauchos Fries, Cheese Bread and Crème Brûlée. The Gauchos Fries are always filling with flavors that would suit any taste buds. The Cheese Bread is one of my favorites. A stranger asked me about them, so I let them try 1 and they liked them, also. The Crème Brûlée hit the spot! I can't wait to return for more!
Gauchos fire tasted fire Often looking for more "Spanish" based cuisine and street food options, we were pleasantly surprised with this shop. They have a food truck as well, but to order and sit down made it even better. The kabobs were perfectly seasoned and cooked, the fries were crispy and delicious, and the cheese bread was like a taste of home. (Colombia) The wait was longer than some of the other locations, but I think that's an indication of how delicious their food is. I will certainly be back for more!
Delicious We ordered chicken sandwich, fried bed Chimichurri and chicken and fries. The online menu needs updating as they have an item I listed they don't have anymore and we were disappointed. Beef was tasty but could use more of the Chimichurri. Fried were nice and crispy.
Was lucky enough to grab some Gaucho's at work. This food truck has some amazing smelling food. I wanted to try everything but opted for the beef chimichurri. It was amazing! The flavors are bold and spicy but in a great taste way. The meet is cooked to perfection with a little char and the fries soaked up just enough of the delicious juices to make them flavorful but not soggy. I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could have tried more. I probably won't get this chance again unless I chase them down on a day off. This food truck is the bomb! All my co-workers raved about everything they got and I'm lucky enough that I have a few BFF Co-workers that I was able to try some of theirs. I highly recommend Gaucho's food truck.
The flavor of the Brazilian Steak sandwich was tasty, especially when you hit the middle of that bun. We also got the cheese fries. The cheese sauce isn't anything to write home about, but the fries were crispy and delicious - dare I say almost could do without the cheese? All in all, a decent meal. I think Gaucho's has a lot on the menu I still have left to explore.
I ordered the #17 - The grilled steak salad. It was good and tender, but it could have used a hint of additional seasoning. The salad dressing would probably be more properly described as a juicy vegetable medley. It was very good, but I would recommend asking for an additional or double serving of dressing on the side because the amount the provide is quickly absorbed by the steak. The salad was crisp. There were two large sliced tomatoes on the side. I'm not sure why they weren't diced and included in the salad, but there were there. There were also tortilla chip strips added for the extra hint of crunch. They too probably quickly absorbed the dressing. The staff was very pleasant and efficient. read more

Great food truck! For a healthy option, we had the steak salad. It's a generous salad, the top covered with steak, half a hard boiled egg, tomato, onion, tri-colored tortilla strips, and vinaigrette. The vinaigrette is very light, so it doesn't overpower the good taste of the steak and veggies. I loved the beef pastel. As others have said, it reminds me of an empanada. The crust was a very nice crispy golden brown, and the beef had a nice flavor. If you are used to empanadas that are a little greasy or that have sauce, you may find the pastel a little dry, but it has such a great taste, it honestly doesn't need to be greasier or saucy. Next trip, I'm trying the steak skewer and fries! read more
Since my last two reviews, many, many more options have been added to the menu, including vegetarian options! Looking for a delicious, fresh grilled cheese-esque sandwich? Look no further. It's one of my favorites! (It's listed under the chicken sandwich on the menu.) read more

Food truck Thursday! Oh boy was I excited as I saw a few trucks lined up outside Riley hospital. I had to make up my mind and I chose gauchos fire because I saw the long line of people waiting to place their order here. I figured this has to be the best option! I ordered a #9 beef steak sandwich with melted provolone cheese!!! I had to wait 15 mins and it was worth it. This has to be one of the best steak sandwiches I have had. Fresh, juicy and very flavorful the least to say! Their other famous options are the chicken sandwich, beef skewer and the croquette. They recommend the authentic Brazilian drink gurano which is very nice aswell with a berry flavor. Next Thursday I'm trying something new here because it's authentic dining for real! read more

Decided to check out The Garage today for lunch and wow! What an awesome addition to the city! Gaucho's Fire was the first place to catch my eye so that's where we decided to eat. My friend and I wanted to try a couple things so we ordered 3 meals and shared. First up was the chicken fries. Wow so much flavor in this dish! The chicken is seasoned to perfection and the sauce balances the meal fantastically. Fries still have a crunch too! I definitely recommend adding the sautéed onions. They're delicious. The two sandwiches we tried the Brazilian Steak Sandwich and the Ultimate Brazilian Sandwich. Out of these two I would say go for the ultimate! The sausage on here is so tasty! The chimichurri and gaucho sauce add great moisture to the sandwich, but it's also not soggy! Both sandwiches are on French bread that are fresh and soft. I still really liked the steak sandwich too; don't get me wrong I just am not a Mayo fan so I got it without it and I think that probably would add more to make it less dry. I will definitely eat here again soon! I really really loved the flavors! Super unique and also The Garage is fun place and I see it really taking off when all the COVID restrictions are lifted. read more

The food trucks at the statehouse can be overwhelming because there are so many options. I settled on Gaucho's Fire but again the truck had so many options so I took forever to decide. I narrowed down to picking either the gaucho fries (looked Amazing) or the steak salad (looked hella tasty) and it took me up until the register to pick. I chose the steak salad accompanied with a guarana soda. I was happy with my choice the flavor good and I got a great portion. The steak was on top of romaine lettuce, tortilla strips, diced tomatoes with a nice spicy vinaigrette. It was a perfect salad if you are watching what you're eating but also need some protein. I will definitely go back to try some of the other dishes. My friend got the steak sandwich and he was very pleased with his choice. He also said he wanted to come back. read more
I've never really experienced Brazilian food until now, and it was fantastic! I got to try Gaucho's Fire at the first trivia night at Hotel Tango. I got the #20 which was fries covered with steak and chimichurri sauce! Holy moly was it good! The fries tasted like they were hand cut, and the chimichurri was fantastic. My sister got a similar dish with fries, smoked sausage and added grilled onions. She said the onions were the best part! We also got a small order of fried ravioli with the same chimichurri sauce, and those were nice bites too. The prices are great, and I will keep an eye out for this truck wherever I go. I hear they'll be back at Hotel Tango soon so I may just have to make my way there again! read more

The so called "nachos" with chicken. Literally just stale tortilla chips with nacho cheese sauce. No flavor. Don't waste your money read more

Gaucho's Fire was very below average. I got the chicken fries and they were some fries from the freezer section topped with overcooked yellow chicken that had no taste read more

On my way from computer class downtown I noticed this food truck parked on the street. I have never tried Brazilian food before and was very curious. I picked the right time to get it line because I was able to order fast and get my food within 10 minutes. I choose the grilled chicken sandwich. It had grilled chicken , lettuce, tomatoes, provolone, and mayonnaise. It also came with fried for $8. Which I wouldn't consider bad due to how big the sandwich was. I'm not sure what kind of bread it was but it was hot and buttery ! I will definitely buy from this truck again. I plan to try one of the steak salads and this ginger ale like drink they say is so delicious. read more

Amazing southern Brazilian food! The true Gaucho experience in Indianapolis. Being from southern Brazil myself I know how to rate this as truly excepcional. The coxinhas are fresh, the pastel has great ingredients and the meat (picanha) comes just right. It's an excellent meat cut you cannot find in Indy but here. My family and I tried it all on a sunny Saturday downtown, it was enough food for everyone at a very reasonable price. Now and then they also do churrasco (BBQ) training and serving at another location. That's the next step. read more

Ok I don't know what Brazilian food is suppose to be like but this was good. I got the item on the menu that looked like an empanada. The best way to do scribe it is a good mix between an Jamaican paddy and an empanada. They are nice sized like a Jamaican paddy, I ordered 3 and was very full after just two of them. It was full of a beef mixture that was not greasy or messy. This was a significant plus because I was eating on the move. The shell is like an empanada but very flavorful and surprisingly not greasy like empanadas. I was happy that I found this place and looking forward to trying something new!! read more
One of the best food trucks around. I had this not too long ago and I am waiting for its triumphant return! I had a Brazilian steak sandwich, piled high with all kinds of stuff. They even had some Brazilian soda. It was all very good and VERY filling. The service is good and fast. Give it a shot and you will not be disappointed. read more

I've eaten at this Food truck twice now. They've been nice enough to travel up from Indy to Kokomo and we much appreciate that! There's usually 6-8 options and prices vary from about $7.50 to $12. I only have 4* because oh my first visit, I ordered the steak sandwich, but it was only okay. Maybe unfortunately for me it seemed very bland and by the time I found a seat the sandwich was completely soggy. But my second trip I ordered the loaded fries when grilled onion and sausage and was not disappointed. I also tried the Brazil soda they offer, it's very fruity and refreshing but at $2.50 for a can, a bit over priced in my opinion. read more
