Fantastic lunch at Gator's Dockside today for mom's birthday. Friendly service, clean comfortable atmosphere (we are inside, but outside patio looked nice too), and food was great. I was craving lemon pepper wings and fried mushrooms.. and it was a total let down. It was nasty . The food had no seasoning at all. The mushrooms tasted like dough. It tasted as though it was leftover and they warmed the food up and served it to me. I did speak with manager Sean and he stated he had refunded my money back. Sorry but for the money I paid, I should have been able to taste something! Sadly the food was bland. No thanks. I won't be eating here again. read more

Came here a few months ago with my mother and sister. We got some all you can eat wings which were very reasonable priced and continuously brought out so we didn't need to wait once we were finished with the previous batches. All of the different flavors we got were delicious and fresh including the crazy spicy one I got !!! Ate at Gator's earlier this evening. Food good. Kitchen a wee bit slow but server was good. Only true complaint = It was FREEZING. When servers are wearing sweaters and jackets, you'd think mgmt might notice and adjust temp. I doubt we will return... unless we can remember to take our parkas. read more

Frustrated with our experiences here. First night (a Friday) we were seated on the patio and waited nearly 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged, and only by a server asking if we were still waiting on service. Never did see our real server. So we left. Tried again the Sunday night because we wanted to watch the football game. The City was shutting down the water so the restaurant was closing early. No problem, it was an hour still so we would be done eating by the time they were closing. About 5 minutes before our food came we were told they shut off the water early but since our food was almost ready they would bring it out but that they couldn't provide us any more water. About 5 bites into our dinner, the manager turned off all the TVs in the restaurant and turned the sound off the game. It was an obvious "get out now" signal to everyone. Our bartender was apologetic but her hands were tied. The gesture by management was very disrespectful to the patrons in the restaurant. I would understand if we had overstayed our welcome and were just hanging out well beyond finishing our dinner or even if it was past closing time. But we had literally just received our food and the restaurant was still serving others. Very disappointed. read more

Do not order the shrimp tacos. Ordered them grilled and the shrimp had no seasoning or taste whatsoever. Also one bite into the taco and nothing but water came out. Came here today after landing from our trip. We were all tired and decided to eat some wings. We enter the establishment and they greeted us right away and we got a table. Our waiter came around took our order fairly quickly as well. I think receiving the food was what took a long time. It wasn't busy, so we weren't able to figure out why it was taking so long. This is not a place I would ever again take my kids. Low key beer-drinking date night, sure. We went on a Saturday night around 5:30 and were seated quickly on the patio, which looked lovely. Food: mediocre/decent. I had the mojo tacos which were enjoyable. My husband had a Cobb salad. The kids ordered off of the kids menu and were content with the portion sizes. Ambiance: Would be cool for watching football, but the patio was NOT cool with our kids present. Another group seated next to us and were shouting curses so loud, our kids were looking at us wide-eyed. We also weren't aware that smoking was a thing on the patio, but as soon as the sun set, we were choking on cigarette smoke. It was awful. Price: Reasonable, no complaints. Overall, my husband and I would come back, but I would seriously hesitate to call this a family restaurant. After living in St. Cloud for nearly a year, I finally got a chance to try out Gator's Dockside. It has a nice family friendly, sports bar feel to it. Similar to the Ale House franchise. They seated us quickly, and at first glance, I was happily surprised by the menu. They had your typical bar food, but also a few things that you dont nornally see, including fish and shrimp dishes. Out of the meals we tried (fish tacos, ribs, burgers, ribs, chili cheese fries) everything was pretty good! I would definitely go back again. The only reason I rated them 4 instead of 5 is the food took a while to get out, and it wasnt particularly busy when we arrived. All in all, I will be back to try more of the menu. Gator Dockside, Saint Cloud, FL Visited this establishment Monday, May 11 around dinner time. Ever since the place opened, it's been pretty packed and busy. So yesterday was the perfect day to stop by. They have free valet parking and plenty of parking spots. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our drink order was taken and a different waitress came to assist us. I think her name is Jen. She was friendly, polite and very professional. She gave us a few suggestions to try. we ordered Ahi tuna, gator tail fritters, baked potato soup and a blue n bacon burger. The food was brought to our table in less than 20 minutes!! Big portions too. Our waitress was super attentive, on top of our drink orders and asking if we needed any help. The food: it was just ok. There was nothing special. Theand pricey. Those few things we ordered were about $50 no tip included. Would we go back? Not really. read more

It's a Gators Dockside. It is a chain. That doesn't mean that you will be dissappointed. Saint Cloud has a pluthera of Sports Bars to choose from, but this will be my favorite of the bunch for the foreseeable future. The menu has variety, the place has an open clean feel, there are T.V.s everywhere, awesome drink specials!! (my margarita for happy hour was less than 4$), and some arcade games with the requisite claw machine for the kids. They have two bars, one inside and then one with an indoor side and outdoor side that has a patio too!! Some of the servers are new to the profession as far as I could tell, but they were trying very hard. The food came out quick and the drinks were cold :) They opened this past Tuesday. Had gators today for the first time did not dine had door dash delivery. I ordered wings with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The wings I got were traditional mild very good and crispy perfect amount of flavor. Garlic mashed potatoes were yummy and the coleslaw the best I've had from any restaurant!! Most restaurants I find cannot make good coleslaw but Gators have nailed it I loved it! I will be returning to dine in. read more

This is a good addition to St. Cloud's limited choices of restaurants. My first visit here was two weeks ago. It was packed on a Thursday, after 1PM. I guess everyone was excited to try out the newest addition to town, and that was the first week of opening. Our food came out late, but it was good, and our server was very attentive and made sure we received all the modifications (or add-ons) we wanted. Then I went back to this restaurant yesterday evening with co-workers for happy hour. We got there before 5pm, and was able to be seated right away. Our drinks and food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but still rather slow. Our server was pretty pleasant, but the young man who delivered our entrees definitely needed more training on good customer service. I ordered 10pcs of grilled wings in Scooter Sauce, Extra Wet. When my food arrived, it didn't look "Extra Wet" to me. So I asked the young man who delivered my food for extra sauce. He said my wings already looked very wet to him. OH NO!!! First rule of great customer service in a restaurant: Ensure your customers are happy with how their food look upon delivery! And acknowledge your customer's requests! There are a couple of other restaurants in St. Cloud that serve good chicken wings and drinks. I'm still gonna come back to Gators next time. Needed a late lunch stop on our drive through and decided to stop here as it showed outside seating. Thank goodness they have outside seating or we would have froze inside. But hey, gives people options. So this is a pretty cool place and and the time of day we went it was so fairly quiet. I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich without the bread, and my side was the onion petals. My husband ordered the sausage and pepper sandwich on lettuce (trying to be a little healthier). Lol His side was the gator chips. Food took a little while to arrive, but was hot and fresh. Nice size portions (even without the bread). Flavor was great, and our server Janice was super! The highlight of our meal was this little squirrel that came up to our table and begged on his little hind feet! I'm a softie and handed him a chip, yes, he actually took it out of my hand gently and sat and enjoyed it while we ate our lunch. OK so I've never been inside this location just always ordered pick up or to go. The parking lot is a little shabby but that's because they're doing construction and hopefully one day they will be finished with 192 and the renovations. Anyway it's been solid every time I have had it with has usually been the Philly cheesesteak or the wings. Very good flavor very good consistent see even the one time they did mess up my order but they gave me more wings of the other flavor that I ordered. I really have no complaints about this place! Granted it's not the fanciest spot in town, yet it's a nice surprise! We just moved to St. Cloud from Orlando, and we used to have our late night bar just around the corner...Working in the hospitality industry orselves, we also have late nights... and it's great to know you have late night bars that you can go to after work to have a beer and apps! I have driven by this place on the 192, just a few minutes from home, but from the outside it looked like a dive bar, but one night we got home late and were really hungry so we finally gave it a try. It's very clean and neat inside, and service is super friendly! Food is not bad either, and they have a nice variety of bar food items plus specials every day! Gators is my favorite place for wings, they are the best hands down! The sauces are awesome, I love the Caribbean jerk and Cajun creole mixed with hot garlic! Everything I've eaten there has been great and I love the fact the have gluten free buns now! The fried pickles are hand breaded and are the best I've ever had! The pretzel with beer cheese is my other favorite appetizer, you can't go wrong with gators Dockside, I highly recommend it! read more
