As a mom of a child with allergies, finding solid vegan kid-friendly options is no small feat. We initially considered other spots, but nothing hit right until we found BurnBox in Kettering. It's located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking, and the minute we walked in, I noticed a sign offering a free Plain Jane pizza when you download their app. You already know I paused entry to grab that deal. The interior is bold and modern -- black, white, and red décor, floor lettering that reads "Good Vibes Only," and an open kitchen where you can watch your pizza being made fresh. The staff was friendly, greeted us immediately, and helped us with our order. We ordered the vegan "Plain Jane" for my son and "The Godfather" pizza for the adults. Total was $23.44 before tax/tip. I appreciated the extra touch -- once the pizzas were ready, we were asked if we wanted additional toppings. I added some Old Bay to ours and oregano to the vegan pizza. My toddler loved his pizza so much he prayed over it mid-bite and almost finished the whole thing. That says a lot! Midway through our meal, I decided to try the wings -- 8 wings for $11.49 (half buffalo, half honey lemon pepper). The buffalo wings were my favorite -- crispy, juicy, oven-baked, and flavorful without being drenched in sauce. The honey lemon pepper was more of a dry rub but still tasty. Final thoughts: Kid-approved (which is tough!) I have ordered here more than a few times with no issues. The pizza is pretty good and my go to is the Mamas Favorite. This place serves up a bit of everything but I mainly stick the pizza and wings. The wings are good sized wings and not like those little nubs of overcooked and over sauced you get from places supposedly specializing in wings. The only issue I had was that if you were to order via Uber/Grubhub is that they use their own drivers. This makes it hard for you to track your order once it leaves the place for delivery. In all actuality just use their app where the prices are cheaper and there are coupons. I would give this place a solid four stars in the local pizza shop category.

The coffees are okay, nothing special. Pizza is the same. However the lovely friendly service, and the cheap prices, and the fact that you can bring your kids and coffee lovers here and they'll have something just for them while you munch those Yoder Ribs and Sadie Ann Pretzels, is very welcome. I typically order a pan pizza with the Carryout option that allows me to get it for around $10 and I try and get extra sauce. They don't always get the extra sauce part right but I almost never have any other issues. They do sometimes have younger ones working here, but that's fine as it gives them the sense of responsibility that they need as they continue to get older. All in all don't not order from a place because someone had a bad experience. You never know until you give it a try and I think this Dominos is worth that.
