Funny story...I am an artist of sorts and am out here on the Cape caring for a family member. My friends asked me if I'd painted anything interesting since I got here and I said, "like what?" One said, "we'll, any rocks or sea shells?" So when I met the owner and she asked if I was looking for anything special, I said, "Well, since you asked, do you have any large cape sea shells?" (Just expecting her to laugh.) But she said, "just a minute" and then came back with two large clam shells she and her husband had gathered from the bay last summer. She gave them to me for free. It took a ton of self control to not buy the big shark statues which were so reasonably priced compared to other stores in the area. The shopkeeper (possibly owner?- extremely friendly blonde woman) was so sweet and gave us recommendations for places to explore based on our experience. There is plenty of parking available between the street and the city parking lot. Cynthia also does commissioned pieces and we had her do a school of her awesome fish. She was great to work with and the price was very reasonable. If you've been before, go again. There is always something new when we go and even our tween boys are pitching for their own pieces.
