She buys and refinishes quality furniture and does a nice job. No "shabby" sheik here. The artwork from a local artist upstairs is good too. You can tell the owner is picky about what she offers. Funny story...I am an artist of sorts and am out here on the Cape caring for a family member. My friends asked me if I'd painted anything interesting since I got here and I said, "like what?" One said, "we'll, any rocks or sea shells?" So when I met the owner and she asked if I was looking for anything special, I said, "Well, since you asked, do you have any large cape sea shells?" (Just expecting her to laugh.) But she said, "just a minute" and then came back with two large clam shells she and her husband had gathered from the bay last summer. She gave them to me for free. It took a ton of self control to not buy the big shark statues which were so reasonably priced compared to other stores in the area. The shopkeeper (possibly owner?- extremely friendly blonde woman) was so sweet and gave us recommendations for places to explore based on our experience. She also saw I was wearing a Jaws shirt, and showed us this awesome shark hat that I ended up buying. We will definitely be back!

I literally got all of my holiday shopping done in an hour. Beautiful home decor, really unique dishes and gifts are upstairs. I'm a greeting-card addict and I ended up leaving with about 20 with unique messages - heartfelt/funny/edgy and more. Notepads, stationery, books, soaps (like maybe 50 pairs with hilarious captions), candles, unique baby gifts, socks etc. There's SO MUCH here and whoever is the buyer has really fabulous taste and curations skills.
