A generous amount of meat on the sandwich- moist and tasty. As we ate the manager stopped by several times to check on how everything was and if we needed anything. So I went in just for a late afternoon pick me up. I ordered a cappuccino and it was the worst. I was excited to try a little small town coffee shop as normally they are amazing. The gal that made it set it down and clearly had no idea what she was doing as she called out "latte cappuccino thing". The amount of flavoring made me gag because of how much she put in and it was filled to the brim (1/3 espresso, 1/3 milk, 1/3 foam is how a cap is made). Sucks how disappointed I am because the gal with the red hair was an absolute peach and had great customer service. This is my favorite place in Perham for lunch! I try to come here every time I'm in town. Amazing sandwiches and great treats in a really unique environment. It is part gift shop, part coffee shop, part antique store. You can sit in the store window (like a mannequin- two tables), kitty corner from the counter (in a partially enclosed area that feels like a back porch- two tables), in the back of the store (more like a coffee shop feel- several tables), or down stairs (which feels like an old cellar your grandma would love- big and small tables.) While you wait for your lunch you can shop for bags (they carry Lug and Baggallini), fair trade jewelry, kitchen accessories or stuffed animals for the kids. Don't leave without going downstairs to check out the clearance corner. My favorite sandwich is the Roasted Vegetable which is roasted red peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, and provolone cheese with basil pesto sauce on a grilled Ciabatta bread. Gathering Grounds is my favorite stop for brunch and lunch. My friends who have traveled the world think their coffee drinks are the best they have ever tasted! I love to choose my own sandwiches with fresh ingredients and homemade bread! If I order off the menu, Lynn's Favorite is also my favorite. Gathering Grounds has two floors of inside seating, but if you are like me, in Covid times I prefer outdoor seating, and they have plenty! This place is AWESOME! It's a bit pricey but it was so worth it. I ordered the Turkey Club and the iced salted caramel mocha and it was so delicious. It's a huge sandwich so they do provide a half sandwich option which is fantastic. There's barely any wait time which is always great. Also, it's such a great place to take pictures with all the nice decor, so that's a plus. 10/10 recommend. read more

Love this place!!! I have come to my boyfriend's lake house for the past three summers and this is my first trip to the Gathering Grounds and I loved it. The place is so charming and inviting. I ordered tea and Lynn's favorite. The tea was pretty good, but the sandwich was SO good. I also love their sides - crackers with a wedge of cheese, an orange and kiwi. Feels like coming back home after 3 years away. While they make sandwiches into an art, the presentation never disappoints, along with quality ingredients and a mix of flavors not to be missed. I recommend the nutty bird and crabby at noon, but try not on sourdough instead of the wrap. My husband adores the Cuban Pete. For a light afternoon treat, if you're not very hungry try the peach soup, it's chilled and marvelous. All their soups are great, but the peach is perfect on a hot summer day. They have the nicest atmosphere to sit and relax. There's lots of little areas to hang out with different seating arrangements. You can sit upstairs at a little table for two and see all the stuff going on, or go down to the basement with a big group and have a whole nook and family sized dining table to yourself. Food was ok my coffee drink was great, beware of the lemon bars. Very granulated and zero lemon flavor(just extreme sugar flavor).
