Six of us turned up for breakfast as it was a milestone family event. The last of its kind for us in fact.
It's been well over a year since we were last there.
We all got the large breakfast - egg, sausages, bacon, black and white pudding, tomato, hash brown, beans, potato bread and soda bread. Everything on the plate was delicious. I did have to ask for the soda bread to be proper toasted as it had been served anaemic which I really dislike.
I did tell the waitress to be sure it was proper toasted so it must have slipped her mind or the chef didn't read the docket. Either way it was out to rights with a smile in a jiffy.
I did note the pouches of HP sauce were past their sell by date and the hash brown tasted off but it might have been the HP sauce.
The seating was cosy. The service was ace, just like the flat white coffee I got. The staff were in the ball despite the fact that the place was packed. read more
