    I have had experience with many of the doctors here. All are excellent and really care about my pet. The staff is wonderful as well!

    Update Bentley my dog has died as of last Saturday if only I had gotten a diagnosis quicker. I might've been able to save her.

I was never told it was only Specific kind of appointments this is offered. I made appointment on phn for her yearly required Bordetella vaccine and would like the complimentary nail trim. I was told I was all set for next day for both!. I was then charged 32.00 for nail trim. I asked why because I was never told at time making the appt OR when I arrived and repeated again what I was there for, It wldnt be complimentary trim, I wld hv passed and taken her to where it's only 17.00 at THE HAIRY BEAST on galena in Aurora.. When asked to talk to manager, she was SO CONDESCENDING...not once apologized for misunderstanding..THEN was all to HAPPY EAGER, to send her records where i wld want, as I started to say I'll probly not be coming back here for the fact NO ONE was kind enough to mention to me, BOTH times I repeated why im bringing her in, that it wld be $32.00 ..not complimentary. Being upfront and honest is as important to me as how my furbaby is taken care of! I Have transferred future appointments with OSWEGO ANIMAL HOSPITAL/BOARDING....I hv boarded my dog there along with many doggy day care mornings and have been very pleased.

The receptionists, vet techs, doctors--all wonderful--professional, warm, welcoming--and all took the time to carefully explain every part of the process, from the first appointment, diagnosis, surgery, recovery, financing, etc. Dr. Peacock is everything you'd want your vet (or your own doctor) to be. He is a highly experienced surgeon--and doctors at that level often lack the "bedside manner" so crucial to clear communication and a healthy doctor/patient/patient's family relationship. Dr. Peacock dispelled all those concerns the moment he walked in the room. He is warm and down to earth. He was so helpful--examining our dog, explaining the issue and appropriate procedure--and answering all of our questions (some of which we likely asked more than once) with patience, kindness, and candor. I can't express enough how positive the entire experience was. Every single person made us feel comfortable, confident in our dog's care, and welcome. And our dog is good as new (so to speak!) Thank you, everyone at Aurora!

My dog was experiencing severely labored breathing and post-surgical complications and urgently needed oxygen support. I was already hesitant to come here due to the overwhelming number of negative reviews, but the emergency hospital I normally use did not have oxygen available. I arrived in a state of panic with a dog who was visibly struggling to breathe. What I was met with was shockingly cold, dismissive, and unprofessional behavior from a young woman at the front desk who clearly had no interest in helping or even pretending to care. Instead of compassion or urgency, I was asked, "Have we seen you here before?" When I said no and explained the emergency, her only response was, "Well this is why we tell people to call before they come in. We're full and can't take your dog." I was so taken aback by the rudeness and lack of empathy that I walked out, placed my dog back in the car, and then returned inside to address how inappropriate her response had been given the severity of the situation. While I calmly voiced my discontent, the only response I received was a dismissive "Mmmmhmmmm, ok" repeated a few times. No apology. No acknowledgment. No concern. Nothing. I was absolutely floored. This wasn't a scheduling issue or a routine visit. This was a dog struggling to breathe. The lack of etiquette, professionalism, and basic human compassion was astounding and deeply upsetting, especially in what could have been my dog's final moments. This experience fully validated every negative thing I had heard about this organization. By contrast, Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Naperville and Oak Brook, as well as THRIVE in Hoffman Estates, treated my dog with kindness, urgency, and genuine compassion over the following days. The difference was night and day. Those hospitals understood what emergency veterinary care is supposed to look like. VCA clearly does not. I will never bring an animal here again, and I will actively warn others to avoid this location. No pet owner should be subjected to additional emotional distress when they are already terrified for their animal's life. This was unacceptable, heartless, and profoundly disappointing.

Dr. Weidner was our savior! He is so conscientious and caring. Over the years this condition had become very hard to treat, and our cat, being semi-feral, was hard to give medication to. Dr. Weidner tried to give us as many options as possible, but was honest in his opinion of what might work or might not work. The prices are reasonable and there was NEVER any pressure to do high-priced invasive tests or procedures. In the end, he helped give our cat the best life she could have, right up to the very end. Her breathing became very difficult, and she had a stroke. We called and they made room for us that day, which I'm sure wasn't easy. Dr. Weidner also made a point to be the one who helped us on this last day since he had been the one we saw all along. All the staff is knowledgable, and gentle. The office and rooms are always very clean and safe. I Highly recommend this vet!

Dr. Beyer was so helpful and knowledgeable. She has a lot of experience. She knew which tests to perform and what to look for. Dr. Beyer, Megan and the staff were so helpful and very nice. I trust them with my cat's health and life. It's nice that there is a veterinary ophthalmologist in the St. Charles area! I highly recommend.

    I want to be honest and upfront by beginning this "review" with the information that I have not…read morebeen to this exact facility. However, my 10 month old cat has been experiencing eye issues on his right eye for 5 weeks. Our vet (Dr K at Park Rose In Roselle) referred me to Eye Care for Animals but they do not have an open slot until the end of July. My kitten was originally checked for an eye injury by my vet, we had tried one antibiotic gel without success and went back 5 days later for a recheck. He was given a new antibiotic gel that has a steroid to combat the inflammation and pain medication to give him relief. This worked well but when I ran out of the steroid gel, the swelling reappeared. I was stressed, as one would imagine. I called this location and had a very wonderful and reassuring conversation with Kim. With the only opening available being in July, I did find a separate place for an earlier appointment. However, I thought I'd at least give a review to acknowledge how wonderful Kim was with me and to give credit where credit is due. My impression of this experience is that if you have a great interaction at the very beginning, just via the phone with front desk staff--then it speaks volumes about the entire staff and facility. So, if you're reading this Kim, thank you so very much. I will always remember your kindness and your patience. I will keep your office in mind just based on your professionalism and your willingness to help me. 10/10.
