The front desk doesn't understand what a fully funded HRA is. After them refusing to speak with Cigna about billing, we left. They wouldnt confirm with their billing department, they still DEMANDED payment. I believe the manger "D", she was absolutely no help! This is the last place we will use for MRI work. read more

I recently had to go to Gateway for a breast MRI. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I watched in the waiting room as they showed nothing but kindness and patience to their patients. I wish there was a way for a negative star rating, one star is too high. This organization is so completely disorganized it makes me highly question what type of actual medical service I have received. The facility is old, tired, and unkempt. The mammogram service sch is routinely scheduled 1 or 2 months from any inquiry. The mammogram machine is out of service on a regular basis. The check-in process is astonishingly poor. I've used this office several years and I put off changing providers because it was a hassle having medical records forwarded to a new provider and mammogram reviews are partly based on previous year's results - the reviewer can look for changes from previous years. But the last straw was a 2:35pm call cancelling my appointment for today scheduled for 4:15PM. They offered another appointment at the same facility for the first week in December - 2 months from now. So I'm finally done, and I strongly recommend anyone considering this provider office to do their research before making an appointment. read more

When I got to my Neurosurgeon appointment. I have a tumor on my brain and the doc wanted to check out if it was growing and requested a four month MRI of brain and spine. They told me Gateway failed to send my spine MRI correctly. I called them after my doctor's appointment and requested they send it two days ago. My doctor's office called me again today. They sent the wrong one again?!! If you're looking for incompetence and don't mind wasting your time go to Gateway Radiology. Otherwise go elsewhere!!! read more

The billing is a problem for me, as they needed proper authorization prior to my visit for services. Except they are taking a second swing at the apple to maximize profits$451.63 out of $710.00 wasn't enough so they renamed the procedure and didn't have prior authorization 5 months ago thus rendering the bogus bill a worthless piece of paper. However the kicker is they think they can intimidate me into paying the $258.63 (the amount adjusted originally back in July. I recently had 2 MRIs done here and everything went so smoothly. All staff members were professional and courteous and I literally could not ask for a better experience. Although I have not seen the images themselves it was administration that caused my low scoring. It too several days for me to get through to someone. When I described what I wanted, two different xrays prescribed by two different doctors, I was mtoild this might be difficult. I made it very clear why I wanted them and when I had to have them. I was told that certai documentation would be required. I contacted my attorney as one xray involved a car accident. He also tried for severl day to get a response from Gateway. Someone nthere told me to tell my atty to NOT press the prompt for attornies but press new customer. In any case, the paperwork was snt and all was in order. I showed up at Gateway only to find that ONE xray was set and I was told that It was ILEGAL for them to do the 2nd xray even though I had the script in hand. I paid cash for the 2nd xray . When I arrive at my doctors office 6 dayds later, they still had no copy of the xray. They had to call Gateway repeatedly to get a copy. I suggest that you find another company at least until Gateway get's it together. read more

The staff was amazing. There was a cancellation, and they called me to give me the opportunity to come in earlier. They were understanding and helpful. I actually had to go back home and get the prescription. The ladies did not give me an attitude or get angry. I was frantic; yet they remained calm. Unbelievably, they remained pleasant. Most places, the staff would just tell you to reschedule, give you their haughty look, roll their eyes, change their tone of voice. Treat you terribly. Not this establishment. I can't praise them enough or say thank you enough. This was for my son so it meant a lot to get the MRI done. read more

I was totally scammed by this place. My Orthopedic doctor by the name of David Wall, who is also a scam artist, sent me to get an MRI at gateway radiology' only for them to produce bogus images that showed I had no injuries yet multi images provided by Palm Harbor Mri showed images that were contrary. All for this Dr. to claim his PRP treatment on my spine so called "cured" me. They will work with doctors in order to scam patients with bogus MRI results. Stay far away from Gateway Radiology!!!! read more

The lobby was welcoming and had large posters on the wall describing the education and expertise of both head Radiologists. I wish there were more chairs in the waiting area though. There were only four chairs! I understand that precautions have to be taken during the pandemic, but they could've at least provided chairs at the waiting stations. There were many older individuals (many with limited locomotion issues) that didn't have anywhere to sit. I made an appointment for an abdominal ultrasound via my pediatrician, but my pediatrician must've not properly specified this on her order. She only wrote "Ultrasound to rule out Kidney stones", so they only scheduled me for a kidney ultrasound instead of a complete abdominal scan. The first ultrasound was very smooth and the nurse/technician who gave me the ultrasound was comforting and respectful. My mother and I left unsatisfied with only a kidney scan, so we called my pediatrician to please order another ultrasound for my bladder so we had my whole urinary tract covered. We walked back into the lobby and informed the receptionist that my pediatrician will be sending another order for a bladder ultrasound too. She immediately became defensive and curt with us, even though both my mother and I were not agitated or aggressive. It was unsettling and unprofessional, and extremely affected my experience. The receptionist only changed her demeanor and attitude when my mother mentioned that she was a retired PA. That was just rubbing more salt in the cut; so does she treat patients who don't have a medical background with this animosity (scary)? When I walked back to get my bladder ultrasound, the same technician who assisted me last time did my second one. Just like the receptionist, she was very defensive and acted annoyed with me. I was not upset with her, it was simply a miscommunication but she acted as if I had chastised her. She dug her hole deeper by telling me "You won't be able to tell if you have a urinary tract infection from an ultrasound". Unbeknownst to her, I told her when I walked in for my first ultrasound that I had been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. Her comment made it clear that she DID NOT LISTEN to me or give me the respect of listening to her patient. I can also assume from her comment that she didn't even know that the scan was for kidney stones, not to determine an infection! I could tell she was agitated, so I decided to compliment her arm tattoos to try to calm the atmosphere. As soon as I complimented her, she became more comforting and started to act more respectfully and professionally towards me. I had to compliment her in order to gain her respect as a patient once more...very disappointing. My scans were reviewed in a timely manner, within 7 to 10 days. This was professional timing on the Radiologist's part. Other than the timing of review, I would say I was extremely disappointed and appalled by the behavior of the two staff members that I had the most interaction with. I wouldn't recommend this establishment unless it was an absolute emergency. read more

The radiology part was fine. it's the billing that is a MESS and why I would never deal with this place again. For an adjusted bill of just $18.13 which I paid 8 days after receiving it, I am still 3 months later receiving threatening notices of damaged credit. I have called repeatedly and am told by a Mr. 'Smith' the system is down, then he manages to get my account up and hangs up on me. I made the payment as requested and it shows up on my statement but to a Lake Wales radiology when I was in Pinellas Park. Is this my fault? will my credit be damaged for their mistake? they send me threatening letters? DO NOT USE this clinic under threat of credit damage for $18.13 payment made on time immediately which they can't find. read more

Horrible rude people, don't try to schedule anything with them, they had my orders for a month then proceed to call me hours before my MRI saying it's not authorized, after I took the day off from work, then yell at me about it, when I finally got the authorization 7 weeks later they wouldn't take the authorization, they waited two more days to set an appointment even though they had it. Never going back due to how inconsiderate and rude the people are there. read more

Be careful they will tell you specifically (Joe) that if there's any problems, billing etc. that they will call you Before your appointment, so you don't waste your time, money, & in my case energy also to come in. Not true! No call, I'm here, and tell me I am covered 100% today, but back in 2014 I owe a bill so, Sorry can't do your CatScan! Same bill I discussed with Joe & said if a problem we WILL Call You Before Coming! Even worse is my Insurance said I don't owe it! read more

Radiologists are top notch. Technologists are professional and front desk friendly. I have been there on occasion when it is very busy and slightly backed up, but those few and far between. read more

If you have ANY other choice with your insurance, choose to go elsewhere. Their staff admin skills are unacceptable. Prior to my appointments, I spoke with the staff twice. Never did they indicate I needed some additional paperwork from my Dr. NEVER! So I show up and my appointment for a service and had to be cancelled. Please consider other competent service providers if you are lucky enough to have them in your insurance plan. read more

After being told that with our current insurance would be covered a 100% for radiographs a few weeks later we received a bill in the mail. I called the insurance company to see what was going on with the bill. Come to find out they have a contract with my insurance company as a private imaging center and they are billing me as private office even though they have a contract with my insurance company stating different. A women named Mary told my representative of my insurance that she understood that what they were doing was incorrect but would keep doing anyways. Gateway radiology is billing people who probably shouldn't be getting billed. Horrible place!!! Go elsewhere !!! To many other places to choose from these days that will be honest. read more

Best MRI experience by far in the Tamp Bay area. The staff was very helpful getting my appointment booked and then kept me updated the day of when they were running ahead of schedule so I got to come in a little early. Super friendly staff and most importantly MRI was great. My doctor commented to me on how thorough the report was from the radiologist during my followup. read more
