Some she told the wait would be 45 minutes. The Xray Tech (April) was excellent. She was professional and polite. This was around 2:15PM on March 16, 2026.

Rosemary checked me in, and my paperwork was quickly completed. No problem arriving later rather than earlier. Josh came out to the waiting room to get me at 2:25. He apologized for keeping me waiting, but I didn't mind. I enjoyed sipping on one of the complimentary water bottles while watching the flat screen tv on the wall. He took me into a room to store my things in a locker, and change into cotton pants and top. When I entered the room for my MRIs, Josh provided me with a warm blanket as I lay on the table. He also gave me earplugs to minimize the clunking sounds of the MRI. During the procedure he continued to be attentive, caring, and informative. At 3:15 we were done. I changed back into my street clothes, and walked to the parking garage - a short walk away - to drive home.

I appreciated that! I was a little hesitant since this was my first mammogram. Dana was my radiologist tech. She helped me stay at ease, was very friendly and got me smiling! It was a painless visit. I was definitely afraid about how much pressure and discomfort I was going to have, but I was surprised to not have any pain leaving there. She also made me feel like family ;) Thank you!!

I didn't even know who or what it was about and called their office number referenced to pay however I was told that because it was at collections they didn't have the file anymore. I called the collection company and paid the bill on time as I would have if they would have EVER sent me a bill. Maybe it was the Post Office, maybe it was them - but it was no fault of mine and I absolutely would never do business with them again.

What a terrible place…read more.. This medical arts building has been there since about 1970. Not much money has been put into it in that time... The waiting area and the internal offices are depressing. This is not a confidence inspiring place. We were told to show up at 1pm, but we weren't taken until 2pm. There were lots and lots of people waiting, but few people being served. While our tech doing our MRI was great, I would never come back here again. They need to move to an updated facility and manage their wait times a lot better.

Once I checked in and sent to room 25...she already seemed crabby. I explained that I did not have my script. She argued with me to the point that I wanted to cry. "YOU DON'T NEED A MAMMOGRAM. " [she was trying to sell me something else] "I can't see you today since we have to review your insurance for the option B procedure." Go get your script and come back in two weeks!" Tears in my eyes, I said, "My doc only said mammogram." "AND, BTW! I need all of your records from 5+ years ago!!!" So - I immediately went to pick up the script. IT WAS FOR A ROUTINE MAMMOGRAM!!! Through my insurance company website, I compared copay among several imaging centers nearby. Rose and PH MRI are comparable on cost. I eventually picked Akumin because it is a larger corporation in term of resource and service locations. I checked in 15 min prior to my appointment. I was quickly registered and called in for my procedure. The facility has shown some age but was overall clean and machines operated well. My technician was very thorough asking questions and explaining procedures clearly. My MRI was done in 20 minutes. Check in staffs were very friendly. Big thanks to Terisa who helped me with my lengthy questions. It is very helpful for patient to register Akumin patient portal to retrieve imaging result and report online. I read other reviews regarding doctor not receiving report in time; With the access of portal, the issue can be resolved easily. The online schedule system was convenient but I strongly recommend calling in instead. The call center representative helped me with my appointments. Have your document ready and bring a lot of patient. It took me about approx. 10 minutes each call to register the appointment on the phone excluding waiting time. Both time the representative made mistakes inputting information. So it is helpful to have your doctor's phone/fax information with you and reconfirm with the front desk at your check in. Unlike Baycare, there are no confirmation/reminder texts or emails from Akumin. If you miss the appointment, there will be a penalty.

This last time I even stopped in to schedule my appointment and stressed how I didn't want to be kept waiting and today again they weren't going to get me in on time. I personally find this to be very inconsiderate of their clients time. I'm still a working woman and taking time out to have an MRI which takes about 45 minutes is difficult for me. I had to move mountains to make it work. I was told to show up 15 mins in advance for my 8am appt so when I showed up the doors were locked. The kind lady who works the desk told me they open their doors at 8am and then we joked about the communication break down from one hand to the other. Then the X-ray equipment did not work. What was worse is they knew days prior but did not call me to reschedule. I would not be so upset if I did not have to juggle the calendar of others including my 90 year old mother with Alzheimers. I left and called another radiology organization to schedule my mammogram. Its too high risk to go here when they have old equipment that does not work. The staff was very kind and apologetic.

Let me first say that I am very claustrophobic! I dreaded this MRI appointment for weeks. To my…read moredelight, I was greeted by a wonderful office receptionist/mgr , who immediately made me feel welcome and safe. Once back in the exam room, I was welcomed by the sweetest technician, who performed my MRI. He was really wonderful. I had to take a Saturday appt and I was not that happy with. But in retrospect, I'm so lucky because the tech that day, (whose name is Robert), was the gentlest, most kind man, who was understanding & patient with my fears & angst! He had an amazing bedside manner. His priority was clearly my comfort. He was gentle & explained each exam as it happened. I needed a knee & a lower spine MRi. After carefully getting me situated in the machine,, he gave me headphones to help distract with the noise of it, & placed a washcloth over my eyes, He also continuously checked in on me as the exam was being performed, making sure I was doing g ok. He made something I had feared into no big deal. I will be forever grateful for his kindness & gentle approach. In closing I'd happily recommend Palm Harbor MRI, to anyone needing this service. And, If I were you, I'd ask for Robert! Thank you Sir for your kindness & great care!
