    If I ever need an MRI in the future, THIS is where I'm coming. Twelve years ago, this is where I came for my MRI which lead to the discovery of my mucinous and ovarian tumors. 3 weeks ago, I was afforded excellent care before, during and after discovery of bleeding on the left side of my brain. Today Amy took great care of me at check in. I know I'll continue to receive positive, personal care from other staff members until I leave. This business is clean and has fabulous photos of the surrounding cities in their lobby area: St. Petersburg and Dunedin are 2 cities featured. A television is also on, to a station to relax those waiting. Like me. The chairs are plush and comfortable. Masks are recommended & appreciated. Before the MRI, Gordon provided me with a locker. He also reminded me to remove ALL metal. That meant bra, jewelry & watch! The key is hung on a disc. Can't lose that! In the room for the MRI, I had a choice 12 years ago to provide my own disc. I brought pop music which was an unwise choice since you are supposed to be still. My music made me want to dance! Last time I was here, I listened to classical music. It was perfect except for loud commercials. This time I asked for silence. I actually don't mind the machine's noise. I feel like I'm on an alien spaceship! Gordon was helpful, patient and professional. If you need an MRI, I hope they take your insurance so you can come here. They are 10 out of 10 in all aspects!

    $365 is not $266 (insurance co estimate) and when I asked Michelle at Excel about the difference, she said that is what the insurance company wanted them to charge as I had not met my deductible. Wrong. I called my insurance and Sharon told me that it is up to the business to charge whatever when you have not met your deductible. IT PAYS TO CHECK PRICES FOLKS. I saved $99 OUT OF POCKET by calling around (from Ins co website estimator). Do your research. MRI of Palm Harbor charged EXACTLY what was on the insurance co website and the folks there, Amy, Kristy and Gordon my MRI tech were great people to work with, from finding me an emergency open appointment time to a bruise free injection of dye. It really shows when people are enjoying what they do and like the company they work for.

    Not sure why the low stars. They were not only quick but very professional and nice. Went twice in one week, one appointment for me and the other for my son. Both times we were in and out practically before the appointment time. Putting them in my contacts as they will be the only office I visit for these kind of appointments!

My doctor originally sent the order to BayCare, but the soonest appointment they had was a month away... at 5:45 a.m. on a Sunday. Absolutely not. So I started calling around and Gulf Coast MRI got me in the very next day. Immediate win. From the moment I walked in, the ladies in the office were AMAZING. This was my first MRI ever -- and I ended up needing two -- and they walked me through everything step by step. They were so kind, so patient, and totally held my hand through the whole process. They didn't take my insurance insurance (but they do take some), but it was $300 per body part, and honestly, between my HSA and what I would've paid toward my deductible anyway, it probably cost me the same (or less). For next-day service? Worth. Every. Penny. The machine is loud (no surprise there), but they let me jam to 80s music the whole time, which made it way less intimidating and honestly kind of a vibe. I walked out with two CDs in hand and they let me know my doctor would have the radiology report within a few business days. Efficient, friendly, professional, and just overall great humans. If you need an MRI and don't want to wait weeks while living in pain, this is your place. Total rock stars!

    I was given incorrect insurance and medical information by the scheduler…read more When I arrived at the facility the technologist did not introduce herself and was not wearing a badge. I was not given a hospital gown. The probe used was the GE-IC5-9 caused me intense pain and injury. When I called the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) I was told that the GE-IC5-9 probe is not approved by the FDA for use in the United States. Records refused to send my medical records to my primary care physician even after two requests. When I checked this facility is not licensed by the state of Florida and the licenses for the technologists are not posted. I was told by someone at the front desk that the licenses are on the patient portal. When I checked there are no licenses found on the patient portal. Someone from patient portal maintenance told me to contact the state of Florida. I called the patient care telephone number several times and they refused to speak with me and would hang up the phone.

As they've done before, they take my paperwork and put it in a plastic folder in the center desk. Then I waited for 10 minutes while they took walk ins and registered them. After walking over to check, someone dug out the folder and started to register me? What is the sense of this process? Why not just take customer in the order they present (esp those with appointments?) The woman doing the test was great. Going back to Bardmoor. Longer drive but they are the most customer focused I've seen. In/Out in record time.
