Let me first say that I am very claustrophobic! I dreaded this MRI appointment for weeks. To my delight, I was greeted by a wonderful office receptionist/mgr , who immediately made me feel welcome and safe. Once back in the exam room, I was welcomed by the sweetest technician, who performed my MRI. He was really wonderful. I had to take a Saturday appt and I was not that happy with. But in retrospect, I'm so lucky because the tech that day, (whose name is Robert), was the gentlest, most kind man, who was understanding & patient with my fears & angst! He had an amazing bedside manner. His priority was clearly my comfort. He was gentle & explained each exam as it happened. I needed a knee & a lower spine MRi. After carefully getting me situated in the machine,, he gave me headphones to help distract with the noise of it, & placed a washcloth over my eyes, He also continuously checked in on me as the exam was being performed, making sure I was doing g ok. He made something I had feared into no big deal. I will be forever grateful for his kindness & gentle approach. In closing I'd happily recommend Palm Harbor MRI, to anyone needing this service. A dead fish had more of personality than the receptionist facing the right side of the desk no smile, no greeting, I gave her my script from my Dr. and sat down to be called. Five minutes later, I went to the front desk to ask her a question, and instead of answering me I was palmed off to the person seating next to her. A half hour later, I was told they were back logged and it would be another 45 minutes until I would be called in... Not a good experience for an MRI, I am used much better customer service and getting a procedure completed. read more

If I ever need an MRI in the future, THIS is where I'm coming. Twelve years ago, this is where I came for my MRI which lead to the discovery of my mucinous and ovarian tumors. 3 weeks ago, I was afforded excellent care before, during and after discovery of bleeding on the left side of my brain. Today Amy took great care of me at check in. I know I'll continue to receive positive, personal care from other staff members until I leave. This business is clean and has fabulous photos of the surrounding cities in their lobby area: St. Petersburg and Dunedin are 2 cities featured. A television is also on, to a station to relax those waiting. Like me. The chairs are plush and comfortable. Masks are recommended & appreciated. Before the MRI, Gordon provided me with a locker. He also reminded me to remove ALL metal. That meant bra, jewelry & watch! The key is hung on a disc. Can't lose that! In the room for the MRI, I had a choice 12 years ago to provide my own disc. I brought pop music which was an unwise choice since you are supposed to be still. My music made me want to dance! Last time I was here, I listened to classical music. It was perfect except for loud commercials. This time I asked for silence. I actually don't mind the machine's noise. I feel like I'm on an alien spaceship! Gordon was helpful, patient and professional. If you need an MRI, I hope they take your insurance so you can come here. They are 10 out of 10 in all aspects! read more

If I could leave no stars, I would. My appointment was at 9 a.m., which I didn't know because when I got to the place, the pleasant and so full of joy front desk lady told me that I was way too early. Lol "like it was a crime, seriously!" But the whole time and even text reminders says 8:30 a.m. The lady at the front desk looks very disorganized and every second saying "not my morning" and never an smile. Overall very unprofessional, unpolite and definitely she and everyone else in here hate their job. Not a good morning or have a great day. My MRI was 300$ so I do expect more than have a seat. No one answers their phone. When you click on the prompts they hang up. I had to make a special trip there to ask one simple question. With the price of gas at $$3.50 a gallon i resent that. $365 is not $266 (insurance co estimate) and when I asked Michelle at Excel about the difference, she said that is what the insurance company wanted them to charge as I had not met my deductible. Wrong. I called my insurance and Sharon told me that it is up to the business to charge whatever when you have not met your deductible. IT PAYS TO CHECK PRICES FOLKS. I saved $99 OUT OF POCKET by calling around (from Ins co website estimator). Do your research. MRI of Palm Harbor charged EXACTLY what was on the insurance co website and the folks there, Amy, Kristy and Gordon my MRI tech were great people to work with, from finding me an emergency open appointment time to a bruise free injection of dye. It really shows when people are enjoying what they do and like the company they work for. read more

Don't waste your time going here. Staff is nice however I was told it was an open MRI and it wasn't. Three days later and I still don't have my results. I'll stick to BayCare. You get your results in the patient portal in an hour or so. Not at MRI Associates. I called several times for my results, NOTHING! So frustrating. read more

First time here. The receptionist never greeted me with a hello, nor did her eyes meet mine. Cold and unwelcoming! The receptionist asked my name and then requested my ID, medical card, and doctor's order. I gave her my ID and medical card, informing her that her office told me that my orders were already there. She stated that she had no doctor's orders for me. I requested her to please look because I was told they were. She again repeated herself and then said nothing else. A few minutes later, she gave me a clipboard to complete documents and requested I self-address the envelope. The end. She never said another word to me. It was only a couple of minutes later that the radiologist called my name; I corrected the pronunciation of my name and said hello. No, hello back. The radiologist directed me to a room where she began giving me instructions. I abruptly interrupt her and say, "Let's start with HELLO, how are you today!?" She was surprised. "Oh, ok. Hello." I then go on to say, "I am from Maryland, and this is my first time here, and it already has not been a pleasant one!" She apologized and then continued to direct me to prepare for imaging. She was an icy (not nasty) radiologist who was only interested in imaging as if I were an object and not a person. I want to thank all the staff at MRI Assoc. I have had pain since 2011 so I am not happy all the time (because of the Pain). When I come into the Palm Harbor MRI everyone there goes beyond the call of duty, whether its a disc I am waiting for or going in for x-rays,MRI's or CT csans. All the staff is a blast, their really friendly, fun and happy. Micki at the front desk actually took the time to listen to me about my pain and then she asked how it happen and cared enough to listen to that as well ( at the time their were no customers waiting in line I was the only one there). I also want to mention Kristy, Amelia,Alexis,I have delt with them in the past and they always put a BIG SMILE ON MY FACE and when I done I have so much fun their that I kinda don't want to leave. This office is pure trash - please be aware!!! Horrible, horrible office, staff, and professionalism. I waited almost a month to get anywhere with tryning to get an MRI and had to cancel my request and go with another company (who is amazing, TCG). They lied about forwarding paperwork for my insurance authorization, lied about filing a claim with my insurance provider, & only worked on my documents after I called and had verbally blast them because no one was doing anything. 9/7/23 - I went to the office to cancel the request in person and the receptionist was so overwhelmed and huffy because she couldn't handle the stress of working the front counter and someone who waited patiently to get email addresses of supervisors/managers (which I never got). She contacted the Regional Manager via Teams and was told to give me her phone number (and the supervisor's number); however, when calling them I didn't even get a voicemail option. I was told I'd be called by both on 9/8/23...& have I received anything from their staff to this day ---HELL NO!!! Palm Harbor MRI has been great. I needed follow up tests to be done from a CT Scan from another MRI company. The other MRI company couldn't get me in for over a week. Called Palm Harbor MRI and they got me in that day. The great thing, they also answer their phone! What a concept. They are also very quick to get your results to your doctor. This was my second time here. I chose to come back because of the exceptional caring service and professionalism the staff has shown. On my second visit, prior to my departure to their facility, I received a courtesy call informing me that it would be best if I arrived 15 minutes later. Office staff is incompetent and distracted on the mammogram side. After multiple times SLOWLY spelling my name for a couple of different people in the office, all Intake paperwork had all 3 names misspelled, then watching it be changed in the computer, results came to me with my name wrong! Was in the mammogram room for maybe 5 minutes total and it took 2 weeks to receive results telling me I needed to be seen for second mammogram and ultrasound with no reason as to why. Got disk and will be seen elsewhere in the future. read more

Very bad customer service. I greeted her and she just looked at me do you have appointment we don't accept walk in. Which was fine if she just show that she cares. I have serious lower back pain and needed MRI as soon as possible. I can't believe that is the current system to wait. I was at Emergency Room and told her I am in serious pain. She did not show me any attention and could careless about me. Patient is the last of what they care about. Please show some sympathy and care to provide guide or help. read more

Terrible experience checked their website for hours. Needed a chest xrays. Got there a few minutes before they opened. When I walked in confirmed right place for xrays. She said yes but we don't do xrays until 9:30 am,they should put it on the website. So they know and no cares enough to get it changed. I will be asking my doctor to send me elsewhere. Run around after run around by staff after multiple attempts to schedule a simple procedure. There's absolutely no communication between the members of this office staff regarding billing. My insurance authorized the procedure for payment with zero copay to me & they refuse to do the procedure unless I sign a promissory note to pay in 30-days. My insurance contract has a zero co-pay with free standing centers. After multiple requests for them to correct the records they still subject the patient to this financial abuse. Nice way to hold patients needing services hostage when your office staff can't get their facts straight. Zero customer service skills by this office staff. I'll go to Rose MRI where they don't argue with or treat the patient this badly. read more

Terrible; choose another place to have your MRI, CT, or x-rays done. Completely devoid of professionalism. I will never return to this location again for any of those services. I had an x-ray scheduled Only to be told that they can't do it at my appointment because the x-ray tech has a headache and is expected to be out for a week or more. an x-ray machine is the simplest devices around. You cannot tell me they don't have somebody else to operate the that machine. I went down the road 4 miles got my x-ray done I will never go back to this place and recommend you don't use it... regardless of whatever medical procedure you're facing this facility will be the weakest link in your treatment. I have been using Palm Harbor MRI for at least 10 years. Mamms, injury MRIs, Migraine related films.... Always a VERY pleasant experience. Even had a shoulder MRI with contrast (which sucks - big needle, dye into the shoulder), but the doctor was distractingly adorable, numbed my arm before the dye shot and it was really a breeze, with no pain afterward! Rarely wait more than 10 minutes. Once you head back to the patient room, they are kind, patient, thorough and FAST! Offices are nice and so is the desk staff! :) read more

They were very accommodating when I brought in my two-year-old. As I was getting my x-rays done, they watched her and got her coloring books. Then when we were leaving, it was poring down rain. So we had to wait inside the lobby. The receptionist got my daughter coloring books and crayons. They were very nice and very helpful. read more

Unfortunately I have a large deductible insurance plan so was really avoiding getting the MRI scans I needed. Thankfully I was pointed in the direction of Palm Harbor MRI. I was astonished to see how expensive two scans would be at other providers in the area-including at the large hospital system that I currently work for. Not only were Palm Harbor's cash prices much less than anywhere else, they were up front and honest with me about pricing, leaving no surprises. Upon discovering I had put my scans off for so long, Palm Harbor MRI was able to get me in for my scans the very next day, at an afterhour's time convenient for me. When I called back to admit I had lost my MRI referral, they were happy to work with me and my medical provider to get an updated referral so I wouldn't have to further postpone my scans. I arrived early for my appointment and they were running ahead of schedule so were able to take me back ahead of my appointment time, leaving virtually no wait. The actual scans were easy and they truly made the 40 minute scans easy and comfortable. Everyone I spoke to from scheduling to the front desk, to the tech were extremely professional and courteous. I feel silly for putting off getting my MRIs for so long, Palm Harbor MRI truly made the process as easy as it could be. I cannot recommend Palm Harbor MRI enough for any imaging needs; well worth the drive from anywhere in the Tampa Bay area. read more

On Nov. 21, 2018, I scheduled an appointment for an MRI on Nov. 27, 2018. On Nov. 26, 2018, they called to say my appointment was cancelled because my insurance wouldn't pay. I called AETNA for an explanation. The AETNA representative was extremely helpful checking every possible mistake that could have been made, but found absolutely no request from Palm Harbor MRI. Somewhere the system broke down, but rather than admit there was a problem, the Palm Harbor staff openly lied about what had occurred.
