We had them do our floor in our kitchen last year and wanted to do the floor in the front room so took the box from the flooring over and they said they ordered the same. They came out tore out our floor and then found out they ordered the wrong stuff. Did not clean up just left the tack strip around the floor and half the tiles tore up and left. Then said that if we wanted the correct stuff we needed to come pay them in full before they would order the correct flooring. read more

Not only did we have a very very bad personal experience with the installation crew; the installation of the 5" solid Hickory was not done properly to the manufactures specifications. Now we are stuck with a squeaky floor throughout the house. The unprofessional install, really distracts from the beauty of the flooring. I wish that I would have chosen a different contractor. The Saturday before Mothers Day...it was a madhouse in there ..so I heard! I have been coming here for years..literally I am a few blocks away. Yearly gardens, flowers upon flowers upon flowers, birthday gifts & gift certificates....I will NOT be returning and here's why. We went looking for some replacement veggies for the ones we lost during a recent hail storm. It was busy , they didn't have what I was looking for. So I grabbed 2 small pots of flowers for the porch and went to the counter. I walked up to the counter and two young girls ringing up customers with the owner & another lady at the other counter, they were yelling prices of things back and forth. The owner yelled what I thought was the wrong price based on the SIGN PRICED in front of the plants for EACH of the 2 pots I got. When I questioned the price the owner snapped at me " IT'S BEEN CRAZY IN HERE TODAY THAT PRICE IS FOR ANOTHER POT SIZE AND WE ARE SOLD OUT!" Well gee....how would I know that? The prices on are cards in FRONT of the pots I grabbed...but whatever ...... Then the girl says ...the amount...like 80$ or something and I said .."what ? That's not right." She rolls her eyes and looks over at the owner who is standing there looking at me like I'm a pile of dog poop...she points to a large basket of flowers on the floor to the right of me and said "IT THAT YOURS?"...I turned to see what she was talking about and these 2 guys are walking up and they say "Oh that's mine". Then the owner looks at them all pissy and says "Arent you together?" And we both say no. Which doesn't get a "Opps my bad sorry"..but instead she then looks at the girls ringing me up and they ALL roll their eyes. They remove the charge for the basket as if they did me a damn favor. One of the two girls at the counter seemed to understand the inherent rudeness that just took place , she smiled sending the "I'm embarrassed teen girl sorry vibe" but didnt verbalize it. You know sorry it was hellish for you to have a lot of customers yesterday...keep it up you wont have to worry about that much longer. BUH-BYE ! read more

Had this company /owner do work for me 5 years ago, same story as others, wrong flooring delivered, no apologies, no calls, install of LVT done incorrectly/failed after 1 month,,,months went by... he blamed the manufacturer, the installer... ended up having to get lawyer involved to barely recoup my losses. just heard today of another problem having current problems, how does this guy sleep at night? stay away from this business. read more

Super friendly people and willing to help and give recommendations. The location is a little odd, but not a deal breaker. I went by late last season and hit the jackpot as they were selling off the rest of their greenhouse plants. Wow, it was super hot in that greenhouse, hence the clearance sale. Unfortunately, a lot of the plants didn't make it, but it was probably my poor choice in planting location. It was a good lesson in that clearance is not always a bargain. I did get a beautiful bee balm plant there, and my bee friends love it! read more

I went here on the recommendation of a work colleague to buy my garden plants. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The selection of plants to choose from was much larger than I had anticipated and it was really enjoyable to find plants I've never seen before, such as the Chocolate bell pepper. I bought a selection of plants from brussel sprouts to petunias and each and everyone of them are doing well after being planted. The prices I found were extremely reasonable, in fact cheaper than I had imagined. read more

had a similar experience with flooring. Bought good quality carpet, fully paid for it, they delivered and installed a lower grade. (wasn't even the same color) Gateway owner said he turned in a trouble ticket to the manufacturer and had not heard back from them. So I called the manufacturer, first they said there was no trouble ticket and then after much discussion, discovered what I had wasn't even their product! Owner finally admitted he never submitted a trouble ticket. DUH! and was upset that I called the manufacturer. Then he said if I want the carpet I ordered (and paid for) I needed to pay more money.
