This is my "Go-To" for a haircut. It is highly recommended to schedule an appointment on their website. Otherwise, the wait can be lengthy for a walk-in. If you're not sure who to use, I personally enjoy Carlos way of cutting my hair. If you're looking for beard work, I've seen numerous clients go to the young lady in the back for beard work. I've never seen anyone complain about their cut at this place. Every barber is highly skilled in their craft! They offer you water or beer when you come in (if you're of age). Everyone is always talking about something, it's very relaxing and enjoyable coming here. They can be pricey, but honestly you get what you pay for! Top notch, it's a must try for everyone! Carlos asked if I was law enforcement, which I am not. But it sounds like law enforcement gets a discount at this barber shop! That's a huge plus in my book! Great place, great vibes! read more

We came here because my sons usual barber shop is so hard to get into at the last minute. This place is also really close to home so we were happy to find this shop. The barber my son got was Bradley and he is amazing. My son is a teen and wants his hair like all the teen boys these days, but my son's hair type makes that extremely difficult. My son showed Bradley a few pictures and videos of what he wanted, and Bradley pretty much hit the mark. He also explained to my son that not all hair types can look like the picture and videos, and he showed him ways to use product and a hair diffuser to get volume and lift. We are so lucky we found Bradley and this shop! read more

This barbershop was very welcoming. I brought my brother in for a haircut/fade, and it was awesome! The staff was very friendly and it was a nice vibe in there. The pricing is also really good in my opinion. Will definitely be coming back. read more

I was a walk in just before closing and they were gracious enough to get me in and taken care of. Good hair cut at a reasonable price. All of the guys in the shop were welcoming and were having good regular barbershop conversations. Will definitely be back. read more

Professional and welcoming folk; down to earth, strong on their spot, no airs nor prima donna barbers, go - you will return. The shop's related website leaves no room for error and the barber's stick to your specifically articulated requests. I cannot imagine a better shop. read more

Byron was awesome! Super nice kid and his cut was incredible! Will forsure be coming back!

Recently moved to the area and was in need of a good barber. I walked in and was put on a waitlist (they prefer reservations but walk ins can be taken). I was taken quickly and got a good haircut with a bit of a beard trim for good measure without asking for one. The price was the reasonable and the quality was good. I will definitely be going back. read more

These guys are the best in town. Great cuts, good conversation and always inviting. Never make you feel rushed and the best razor fade you can get. read more

Hidden gem. Clean cuts, fresh interior, great barbers. If you're in the area and not seeing these guys youre missing out!

I asked for a beard line up...asked not to take it down AT ALL just clean up the overgrown stubble on throat and cheeks. And this is how I was sent out of the shop smh. The damn sides aren't even, he completely cut the corner off of one side of my mustache but left the other.. as s barber how do you even let your customer walk out the shop like this?! I haven't even took the time to look at my hair because I am beyond furious at this point. If you don't know how to do it then say you can't. read more

Very prompt and skilled. Definitely coming back here for my sons' haircuts! Easy to schedule as well.

I'm actually pretty annoyed and mad. We had my sons back to school hair cut scheduled for almost a week now and my husband wakes up to an email saying you cancelled his hair cut appointment and didn't even TRY to call us or put him on another barbers books. Just cancelled. And now you have 0 appts until Wednesday and school starts on Tuesday. We will not be coming back! I thought we had FINALLY found a good barber shop with great barbers. Maybe you don't care about your clients that much? IDK. But I'm sure I'll have to settle for Sports Clips because no barber is going to have availability on such short notice. All I wanted, was for my son to roll into school on his first day of 8th grade feeling great and looking great. Thanks guys for the outstanding customer service. read more

Just moved to AZ. Saw this place on yelp. Good group of guys, clean shop, were welcoming from the moment I walked in. The Gateway boys are skilled at what they do for sure. I found my new spot after 20 years at the same barbershop in So Cal. Highly recommend these guys. read more

First time here on a recommendation. Very busy and they worked hard and fast. Made an appointment and didn't wait even one minute. Right into a chair. Great haircut for my son. We will be back. read more

Gateway Barbershop - Little man getting cleaned up for second semester of school! - Barbers Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

I've came in 3 times with an appointment with any barber & all 3 times these guys have not let me down. I have 4c hair texture so it's extremely coarse & nappy hair but these guy's can work with any hair texture so have 0 worries once you sit in the chair. The inside of the shop has a nice modern but home aesthetic these guys are professional. They are my main barbers for as long as i'm in the area they are always reliable. Anybody on the staff can cut hair. read more

One huge plus about this barber shop is the owner! In my opinion based on the other reviews and my situation, he will try to fix any problems you have with his shop. He seems to care about his reviews and will exceed expectations when trying to fix an issue! It is very refreshing to see an owner take responsibility for his employees and overall haircut experience. read more

Took my son for a cut here a couple of times now and both times he received a top quality cut. Each time was with a different barber, but both experiences were excellent. My one recommendation, if you are going on a Saturday, get there early, as this is a popular barber shop. read more

Totally recommend these guys!! Came in with a bad hair cut and Joshua saved it like a hero!! 10/10 would and will come back here.

I have been going to Gateway Barbershop for over 2 years I have NEVER been disappointed. The experience I have had with multiple different barbers at Gateway has been top notch! Panda (the Owner) is the barber I have been seeing for the last year and he has been exceptional. Panda always greets every customer, makes everyone feel welcome, conveys a positive energy, and always thanks EVERY customer when they leave and tells them that he appreciates them! Gateway has had to adapt quite a bit during COVID and the way they have adjusted by creating appointments Is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend Gateway to anyone looking for a great haircut experience from genuinely good people! Jason S. read more

Went in yesterday for a normal haircut, asked for a bit off the top and a medium fade, everything was fine until I got home and realized the barber did what he wanted and not what I asked for, thank god my hair will grow back but they won't see me there again... read more

So I have...had some pretty long hair on the top of my head, I wanna say it was like 8 inches, I asked for a fury type haircut on the top and a medium skin fade. Skin fade was fine it looks great then we got to the top...he left the front of the top around the same length and at the back it's like a buzz cut it doesn't even slick all the way back, and I didn't even notice it till I got home. This is the 3rd time something like this has happened at this shop i either ask for a quarter to a half inch off and they cut off lIke 5 inches. Thank god hair grows back but I'll be wearing a hat for the next 2 weeks. You definitely will not see me here again. read more

Gateway Barbershop - Barbers Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

This is the place to go if you live near the Gateway Airport. I have been coming to this shop for about 4-5 months now, and it has not disappointed. Just about every weekend they have a full staff which makes the wait time go faster. Since day 1, Sam has been my barber. Straight up genuine and progressional service. Only reason I have them rated as 4 is because I would like to see them offer more promotional opportunities such as discounts for returning customers. read more

Had a bad hair cut (which happens) but the owner emailed me and made it right. He fixed my sons hair and did a great job.

First time here. My son and I have been looking for a good barber in the area. We've struck out with a few up to this point. Decided to come here based on the Yelp reviews. They did not disappoint. My hair was cut by Alex. He was nice and offered up some suggestions for my hair. A little bit of a new look to my same style. I was very pleased. I would recommend this place to friends. read more

I was pretty sick of chain places (such as Supercuts, Great-clips, etc.) making me uglier than I already am, or using some friend of a friend who "went to hair school" and walking away like some kinda pumpkin pie hair-cutted freak. I used to go to Barber shops as a child with my dad, and remembered the feel of those kinds of places as being laid back, yet professional and very close knit. I guess a Barber is to a man, as a hair dresser is to a woman. You only use one you trust, and after a few return visits (assuming they did a good job), they usually know your hair better than you do. They know you by name and take their time and do it right; exactly how you tell them to do it. When I went in to Gateway for the first time, I went off a recommendation from a friend who had his hair cut there earlier that day, and his cut was super clean. I went in and they asked what I wanted, I showed him a picture of what I had in mind off google, he asked me a few more specific questions, and went to work. I got a comb-over with a fade on about a 1 plus a razor line-up. I'VE NEVER HAD A BETTER HAIRCUT! I'll be back every two weeks to see Adam, that guy knows what he is doing! It was $18 plus a tip, and worth every cent. read more

Great barber shop! I've taken my 20 month old to several barbers and this by far is the best one! Anthony was great with my son and most importantly did a fantastic job on his hair!! Kids can be a pain sometimes to cut their hair but Anthony was great in all aspects! read more

Best barbershop experience I've had since moving to AZ 5 years ago! All the barbers are pros here! Gerrardo gave me one of the best fades and edge ups I've ever had and my wife strongly approves of the product! I must admit, I was a little nervous since it was my first time here, but that quickly changed after seeing all the customers coming of the chairs with high quality cuts. Happy to find such a great barbershop so close to home. I'll most definately be back. Keep up the outstanding work Gateway!! Lucas read more

I've gone through many barbers in my life and my cousin who cuts there along with a good friend who is the business owner they are great at cutting hair. Daniel my cousin cuts my hair and has done nothing less than fantastic at doing what he does best. He does my hair and beard to make sure I look the best I can look at my job. Highly recommend this shop Gateway barbershop if you're looking for the best cuts from the best barbers. P.S. - And no just because I know the people doesn't mean I'm giving an automatic good review.
