I was driving on the freeway and a pebble hit my front windshield causing a pretty nasty crack. This was my first time dealing with this issue for my Tesla, so I was not sure where to even start with getting this fixed. I had a feeling that Tesla service center might take some time, so I looked on Yelp. I came across Gateway Auto Glass because they had solid reviews and sent them a picture of my front windshield crack. I got a pretty fast response within the hour and turns out they specialize with Teslas! They suggested that I replace my front windshield and gave me a couple quotes based on which brand I wanted to go with. Then I scheduled an appointment within the next couple of days where they would come to me for service. During my appointment day, Lito stopped by my house and worked on my car for about an hour. After he was done, my front windshield was brand new and perfect again! It was an incredibly smooth process working with Gateway Auto and I highly recommend them especially if you have a Tesla! During a stressful situation like this, it was alleviating that these guys were responsive, reliable, and punctual. read more

Googling Auto Glass places can be overwhelming. After calling a few to get quotes, we spoke to Jason. Not only was his price very competitive in comparison to others, the service was top notch. We called late in the day and they had someone to us by 8:45am. The installation took barely an hour and everything was done thoughtfully and thoroughly. I am very thankful to have found Gateway Auto Glass. Highly recommend their awesome services. Special thanks to Jason for being amazing on the phone during a stressful time. I called several places in the morning (smashed window was discovered at 8am) and they were able to fix it the same day. Fortunately Jason was able to fit me last minute, and even match the price of a competitor!!! I forgot to ask the name of the person who come to replace the window, but he was super nice, cleaned thoroughly my door and other areas affected, put everything back to the right place. Super happy with the attention to detail :) Highly recommended. read more

While getting my hair done in Oakland, my car windows were smashed, 5 hours before game 1 Warriors vs. Lakers. Jason, with Gateway Auto Glass, sent a tech to my house in Vacaville and fixed my windows in time for me to make it to Chase Center in time for the game. BEST part is they were $700 cheaper than Safelite, and their customer service definitely deserves 10 stars read more

Would strongly recommend going elsewhere for your auto glass needs if your car has any type of rain/collision sensor. Jason confidently quoted a price ~30% cheaper than I was able to find from other shops - citing that his techs were skilled enough to not require post repair calibration. Both systems were non-functional post repair and Jason went radio silent when I requested a tech to return and fully resolve the issue. After waiting over a month to get on their schedule, the first tech simply didn't show up at the appointment time and would take more than a week to reschedule. After finally getting the tech out to reassess the sensors, the tech determined it indeed needs calibration. I was told that Jason was aware of this and I should be receiving another call to schedule this service. It has been roughly 2 weeks since this appointment and I have not heard anything. Save your money and time and get it done properly by a certified shop. read more

My Nissan Rogue got broken into and I was worried I would have to leave it out on the street all night. I called in later in the afternoon and Jason was super helpful getting someone out the same day. Couldn't ask for a more helpful and professional service. read more

I recently got my Tesla quarter window busted, and I was in search for a mobile glass repair that was quick, efficient, and doesn't break the bank. It was pretty untimely because I had a wedding to attend. Jose came out and fixed my glass in 30 minutes and sent me on way. Gateway Auto Glass is a great private business that I will most definitely be coming back to. read more

The smaller crack on the right lower windshield of my Subaru stayed the same size for 5 years or so. But after a trip to Mammoth, the cold expanded the crack across the midline. I noticed it driving back to N Ca on Tue afternoon. I called Gateway after seeing their good reviews in our area. Jason answered, asked detailed questions about the type of windshield, and set up an appt for the very next morning at 7:30am so it would be finished in time for me to drive the car to work! Jose came right on time at 7:30am. He was very friendly, answered questions, and finished promptly. He also answered my husband's questions about the crack on his car's windshield and what a replacement would involve. Later, my insurance agent told me I could submit the receipt to the insurance after the fact. I called Gateway on Friday (today) at 5:40pm, to ask for a receipt. I didn't expect a call back till Monday. Jason called me back 1 min later and said he'll get it to me Monday! He gave me their email and I emailed them my info. Oh, and the windshield's sensor features are working perfectly. Gateway has excellent service; I would definitely call them again read more

My car was broken into and someone stole my battery. I called several places to find a mobile service because I'm house bound. One company quoted $711 to fix the small triangular window in the rear door and one company couldn't come for 2-3 days! Jason at Gateway was so polite and thoughtful and quoted a very fair price and a repairman was here in less than 3 hours. Now that's A+ customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend them. I literally messaged for a quote not expecting that my car windshield would be fixed the same day. Ismael was at my house within the hour. He was very professional and polite. I am very pleased with his work and very appreciative. I would definitely recommend to friends and family! read more

Shortly after the windshield replacement (with rain sensor and auto-dimming rearview mirror presumably kept in place), my car began experiencing trouble starting. I put a voltmeter on my battery after recharging it and noted that the voltage would drain from 14V to below 12V. I disconnected the mirror and rain sensor electrical connectors and found that the battery was no longer draining and would keep the charge. I suspect that my rain sensor and/or mirror were swapped out for faulty products during the windshield replacement. If anyone experiences similar events, this would further confirm my suspicions. In order to avoid this in the future, I would recommend marking these parts before the work commences to detect swapped parts. If there is some way for Gateway Auto Glass to remove the suspicions (ie. marking the parts before removing them and showing the marks to the customer before and after work) that would be greatly appreciated. read more
