He literally spend half hour and he wanted to charge me $100 more than what he quoted . I declined to pay the extra $100 and he started taking the front door lock off. Really bad experience and uncomfortable. Communication is horrible, I don't recommend him.

I called Joe at PBC Locksmith, and he said he could be there in a half hour! He showed up just on time, was super friendly and really knowledgeable! The deadbolt was completely broken so he took that out and replaced it, and was able to just rekey the bottom lock. Relectuantly we let him come out even though it was 24 hours later and we could not open the door without having to lock it behind us so it didnt swing open. The braket was $20 on amazon, and the screws were another $20- it took him less than 2 minutes to change it, and we were going to pay the agreed upon $249- which in my opinion is still WAY too high for something we could have done. He fixed it- with the wrong screws- it looks completely tacky- invoiced for $298- when I called and asked him why he said tax and a $12 credit card fee- and he said....he dosent know he just puts it into they system... The math dont math Matt. 249+ 7%=$266 +$12 bs credit card fee $278.....so whats the deal? And why is your fee $249 for 2 minutes of work? Not impressed at all. Very disappointed and Little Old Lynn is in shambles. This was probably the worst experience ever.

A few minutes later he responded with prices from $350 to 200. While I was waiting for his pricing I had contacted another local locksmith who advised that I probably only needed a battery which would cost $10. I thanked Ricky for his quick response and advised him I went with the $10 battery option which worked just great.
