Gate Operators direct is the real deal. I purchased my gate operator 10 years ago. I recently lost programming due to a power outage and I jacked it up trying to fix it myself. I called for a list of service company's in my area and the gate operators direct rep spend the time to walked me through the programming. Hugh help. I would recommend Operators Direct to all my friends and family. Robert Beaumont, Tx. read more

I've had a Viking G5 series gate opener from Gate Openers Direct on my gate for 10 years now. 5 years go I had to replace one of the external keypads due to vehicle damage. Last week the opener began having difficulty opening upon command. I called Jay, explained what it was and wasn't doing, and he immediately gave me the first option of replacing the 12 volt batteries in the backup system on the control board. of course, it worked and now my opener is operational again. Jay and his staff have always been so professional and never try to sell you something you don't need. They are absolutely great which speaks volumes about this company. A great company with great people. 100% recommend them for all your gate opener needs. Thanks read more

I went in to Gate Openers Direct thinking that I needed a new plug-in receiver after replacing my Nice Apollo 1050 control that was damaged in a storm with multiple power surges. I told Jay the issue that I was having and he quickly told me that I did not need a new receiver and pointed me in the right direction. A very simple fix that saved me $100. I really appreciate the help! read more

Cannot give this business enough stars!!! They are awesome! I had a gate that had been inoperable for several years. Due to rising concerns of unauthorized people entering our property we called a repair expert to fix the problem., Regrettably, they could not. Yet, Gate Openers Direct diagnosed the problem over the phone and helped this home owner make his own repairs. Support before the sale, during the sale and after the sale. This business owner is serving customers and building relationships!! Could not ask for any thing more! read more

I had multiple issues with and Nice Apollo gate opener that had been in service for 18 years. Jay was extremely helpful in the diagnosis and had plenty of parts on hand ie no waiting! Thanks guys. read more

My landscaper accidentally cut the power line from my gate opener to the control box mounted on my fence. I called Jacob at Gate Openers Direct who told me that the manufacturer did not offer a replacement cable for this unit, but he asked me to bring the unit to him to look at. He was able to provide a home-made replacement for the cable, and installed it in the unit in about an hour. I think Jacob is a magician! I highly recommend these folks! read more

Worst experience of my life. Yes, that's a bold statement. $2000 down the drain. I was sold a FAAC hydraulic arm for my swing gate which replaced my lift master. He said it was the best for the money. He had his recommended installer JG Iron install it. It worked for ONE day. I called JG Iron to come and fix it with no response for two weeks. Gave up on JG Iron and filed with the BBB and they still have not responded to my claim. Called Gate Openers Direct, which stated: "Sorry we are wholesalers, you will need an installer to fix it." Yeah well your installers are dead beats. "Oh sorry to hear that, Call this other guy". I did and he came out and I had to pay him $150 for the service call!!! Broke the next day. Came out a week later and "adjusted it" and it broke the next day. 3 months later and guess what. Still broke! Getting another lift master installed by another company who actually stands by what they sell. Thanks for nothing you thieves!!!! That includes you and your installers!!! Update: Regardless of your comment two things happened. 1. Your representative stated he couldn't help and that I had to get with your installer. 2. The installer "Iron Fence" came two times, couldn't fix it then completely stopped responding at which time I had your other installer Robert come twice and couldn't fix it. Try again.... BTW. My liftmaster has been working flawlessly the past year on the same power line which makes your argument void. read more

They sold me a transformer that didn't work. It happens. Electrician identified the problem was with transformer and spoke to Gate Openers Direct who said to bring in the transformer for a no problem swap out. When I arrived the owner Jay said that his employee wouldn't have said that and the employee was available to check the next business day. Jay also said "Employees, what can you do?"...I guess my opinion is he should hire better employees. Jay said there was no volt meter in the office to check the transformer and I'd have to come back on next business day for it to be tested then. So the employees take home the volt meters? Sounds like Jay was too lazy to check it himself. Of course when tested the transformer was not working and I had to come back in for the swap out. I didn't appreciate my time being wasted. No apology for inconvenience. read more

I purchased an Apollo gate from Gate Openers Direct five years ago. The gate is still working like a champ with multiple openings and closings each day. What stands out most about this Jay Leatherwood and his staff at Gate Openers Direct is their willingness to answer questions and provide excellent customer service over the years. After having driven by for years, I finally remembered to bring my garage opener in to buy an additional one, since I lost it. Immediately they pulled one out, reprogrammed my gate opener and could not have been nicer and informative and I was on my way. I highly recommend this store. read more

This group of people are the best at what they do. Jay definitely knows his products and Jacob appears to be the electronics wizard with the equipment. Both of these individuals must have graduated with high honors from "Customer Service School" before coming to work here. I am a consumer who after buying and installing a gate opener for my home, was so impressed with their knowledge and helpful attitude, I went back and purchased another opener system for my sister-in-law who lives in Brazos county. I have a very deep construction background and understand simple rules to follow installation instructions, however there were some things I was not sure about so I called for technical help with both installations. I received nothing short of exemplary service from Jay and Jacob from the four calls I made. Most people would be "put out" by the simple questions I asked but not these guys. They were very understanding and helpful each time able to answer the questions immediately without needing to reference any written material. One of my calls would not have necessary if I would have only read the instructions completely (as noted), however they answered the question with complete professionalism. These people are great to work with and know their business and their products very well. If you need to install one of their products, look no further than their showroom when it comes time to make your purchase. You will certainly be satisfied with the service. Thanks again Jay and Jacob. You made two different opener installations very simple. read more

I struggled for years with Mighty Mule gate openers, replacing batteries, repairing 'em, and ultimately replacing them, only to get the same heartache. Only wish I had spoken with Jay first; he gave me straight talk, simple technical advice, and great products! I bought and installed 2 Viking gate openers (1 large, 1 small), with no problem, and have greatly enjoyed over 6 months of care free, reliable, gate operation. Great products, great service, great people!!! read more
