I was in Zell am Harmersbach today (13.07.2013) to visit the spot my 4th great grandparents married and then on to Kirnbach (Unterharmersbach) where my 3rd great grandfather was born. Luckily, we had stopped into the tourist office beforehand as the owner of the Adler Wirtshaus was a witness at the wedding. The tourist agent said not to eat there as the food is no longer great. She suggested Bräukeller, I was very glad she did. I had the Wurstsalat (meat salad), which was very tasty and my friend had the daily special, chanterelle risotto and we both had the incredible Ketterer Naturtrüb pils. The restaurant is built next to an old section of the town wall. read more
