Another bratwurst, a slice of ham, and some boiled potatoes. All of this for a very reasonable 15€. We started with two of the soups and bread and we each had drinks. The service and the atmosphere were perfect. I would absolutely recommend that you try to get in here and check out their seasonal menu. My local friends love it and I'm so glad they shared this with me!

Sure, that's great for the business, but for the customer, that means less attention and a lot of hurrying. Even with a reservation, we were told to be out within 90 minutes. What?! At the table, we literally had 3 minutes to look over the menu before the waiter/host interrupted and told us to go for their set menu (routine of salmon and tuna), which will surely make us "full". What?! I'm not here to stuff myself, if nothing else, at least have some respect for your own food. To buy us a bit more time, I order tea and ask the guy to give us five more minutes. Immediately, he storms off to another table... Luckily, an older lady with more sense of customer service comes to serve us after bringing our drinks. When ordering, to my surprise, neither toro or hamachi were available, despite being displayed on the tabletop menu. We end up going with a few other nigiri and two rolls. The nigiri is nothing special. The fish did not taste fresh or flavorful and there was absolutely no interaction between the rice and the fish. The rolls were surprisingly large. Perhaps due to the overuse of sauces, but again, the fish flavour does not come through. Very very disappointing for a place that seems authentic and masterful in its craft. Final word: I probably should have taken the young host's initial advice and filled ourselves up with the simplest rolls they know how to make. This is definitely not a sushi restaurant, it's a buffet.

We arrived there around 8.30 pm on a Friday evening and found the place to be very cozy and intimate, located in some sort of underground woody room. However, they had no free seats. The nice waitress told us they might get some free seats in half an hour, so we might just come back then. We left, thinking it will be for sure that we'll come across something at least as nice and we won't need to come back. We didn't. After half an hour we were there again, waiting to be seated. However, there were still no free seats and we had to cluster at a two people table all four of us and wait for another seat to get free. The people there were having lots of fun and the atmosphere seemed to be purely italian (probably that's as good as it gets for an Italian restaurant in Germany). Some of the customers, as well as the staff, were Italian, which is always a very good sign. We ended up waiting for another 20 minutes around, but it was well worth. I had the best pizza in my life there (pizza Parma). My boyfriend had veal steak with risotto (very good) and my other friends had Spinach pizza and pasta with sea food. Portions were huge, so we took the left overs with us. Oh, the tomato soup I had as a starter was one of the best I ever had.. and it only costed 4 euros :) Same is valid for the Tiramisu as a desert.. simply delicious. Add a bottle of wine to this meal of four and the bill was 95 euros. Used with Swiss prices, we found this to be extremely cheap, as well as the quality / price ratio to be super high. I assume they didn't speak German so well and English much less.. they forgot to add some extra toppings to our pizzas and often got parts of the order messed up (2 Espressos instead of one, different kind of wine than what we asked for etc.).
