We were the only patrons at the time at 1730 on a Saturday night (came based on other reviews), but more arrived after us. We were seated immediately and within 20 minutes had ALL our food, from drinks to starts to meals. It was lightening fast! My husband ordered the EierBlumenSuppee and the Fruhlingrolls (we have no regrets.) I don't care for eggrolls but I tried these and I could not stop myself. I ended up eating half of them. As for the soup, I recommend it. Its better than Ma's chicken noodle soup. Its made with real chunks of chicken and the broth is delicious. For the meal, my husband had the chicken and noodles. A basic meal with basic flavors. Nothing spectacular about it but also nothing negative to say. It was normal. Then I had the Chicken and Rice with Peanut Sauce. The peanut sauce was better than most however I would have preferred it to be thicker. It was still a little soupee. The meals themselves arrived quickly. The rice is delicious and normal, the chicken was thinner than a typical Schnitzel so I was disappointed however the underlying flavor was amazing. I continued to eat the fried chicken, covered in my peanut sauce, but once I hit the bed of sauce under the chicken with the veggies...oh wow! The flavors were so incredible. I had never experienced those flavors in Germany before. It tasted more like a home cooked meal. I dug into my rice and piled it into the sauce and sprouts and slayed it all. On top of that, I have to note the artistry of my carrot. It was shaped like a rose and it was beautiful. A true carrot artist is on staff and I appreciate that little extra beauty. I hope you will read this. My husband and I were very impressed - see photos for details. Overall, the only reason for the 4, was because our main meals needed a little more. We would definitely eat here again though, just to try other meals and to enjoy the great service. Thank you for showing kindness to my dog. I truly appreciate it. Oh, and my husband wanted to note that they do not skimp on giving you silverware! Lol.

Take a look at the…read morephotos - what was advertised (first three photos) is clearly NOT what was provided (last three photos) - and as you bask in how horrid the room is, know that they charged €156 for it. What a joke. I was booked into a dark, dingy, poorly lit room, with a sh***y (pun intended, I guess) restroom whose shower door couldn't even open fully due to being block by the goddamn toilet, that has peeling pant on the "window sill" (to call it that is to use the term incredibly loosely), bugs on the walls, wall sockets and a temperature control unit that I'm pretty sure are here from the 1960s and/or Soviet Russia, and a bed that wouldn't even be foisted off on a criminal. Don't even get me started on the monosyllabic night guard who thinks beaming his flashlight into your eyes REPEATEDLY is good customer service, and can hardly speak to save his life, but that's a minor quibble compared to everything else that is so catastrophically wrong with this place. About the ONLY two things of positive note are its location, which is nice, and the day desk staff being friendly (in the brief time I interacted with them). That's it. Everything else is pretty horrid. The manager of this establishment should be embarrassed in themselves, and in this hotel.

The hotel also happens to be seconds away from the downtown train station, which was a nice bonus if you are looking to explore the area further by train. The room rate included a decent breakfast and free access to the sauna and steam room, however, it did not include wi-fi. The wi-fi was disappointingly slow, which was just insult to injury after having to pay for! The rooms themselves were modest and the temperature control was adequate, barely. A double was merely two twins put directly next to each other, however, I'm not sure if that is standard for Europe. They were surprisingly comfortable given their looked. Overall, its difficult for me to rate them any higher than a 4-star, but I felt they deserve more than 3 because of the customer service provided.

The restaurant Seehof has a pretty unassuming entrance in a little street, but its terrace provides stunning views over Bodensee, or Lake Constance as its actual name is in English. I was visiting Friedrichshafen for just about a day and wanted to have a nice meal by the water. I quickly came across a few positive reviews of Seehof and decided to go there. Later, a local friend told me, that many people who live in Friedrichshafen do not yet know about this great little gem, so it is surprisingly still kind of an insider tip. When I walked in on a Sunday around noon, the restaurant was not very busy and I chose probably the table with the best view over the water. I was quickly handed the menu and browsed through the different items. I missed a Riesling on the wine list. It turns out that the Müller-Thurgau white wine I had ordered was great and fresh and soon I forgot that there was no Riesling on the menu. Also, I would recommend asking for a tap water instead of bottled water, because this very lake is the source of excellent drinking water. I started right with a main and they were very friendly and flexible, so I could customise my order and go off-menu. I went with pork tenderloin and home-made spätzle with gravy. It came with a little starter of salad with quite a bit vinegar - that is how they do it in the area, but I am not a big fan of these salads. For many people, the tenderloin would have been the main ingredient of the dish. Not for me - without a question, the grated spätzle were excellent and the true star. The gravy was nice and tangy, although perhaps a little bit fatty. The pieces of pork tenderloin were soft and delicious. For dessert, I had a mousse au chocolat which was alright, but it did not wow me as the spätzle did. After becoming used to London food prices, I was surprised when I saw the bill. It was a very reasonable price for good food, great wine and a perfect view in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Overall, I can only recommend Seehof. If you get a front-row table in the sun, it's worth to go for the view alone. Accompanied by at least a Müller-Thurgau to keep you cool so you can enjoy the view a bit longer.
